You can subscribe in 30 seconds. You cannot cancel at all.
WIRED (Condé Nast) will take your money online instantly and then make it structurally impossible to stop paying.
I'm a digital-only subscriber outside the US for 8 years. Here is how the "help" chat went.
The automated flow's first request: enter the code printed on the wrapper of my magazine. I don't receive a magazine. I'm digital-only. Step one of their cancellation process is already impossible for the product I actually bought.
I queued for a human. The agent asked for my full name, the email on the account, and my full billing address including postcode. Reasonable. They then couldn't locate the subscription — so they asked for an alternative name, any alternative email addresses, an alternative billing address, the last four digits of my card, the card expiry date, and the exact date and amount of the charge. I handed over all of it, card expiry included, to cancel a subscription they bill me for every single month and apparently cannot find.
Then, after roughly 25 minutes, the punchline: the chat team cannot cancel subscriptions. Not "we couldn't find your account" — the channel has no cancellation authority whatsoever. My options were to email an address, or telephone a US number. From another continent. At my own expense. The agent's own guidance was that the phone line is faster, but the automated system won't accept an account number, so I should just say the magazine's name and hope to be routed to a person.
I asked for a transcript of the conversation to be emailed to me. Refused. I was told to take a screenshot myself.
To be clear, the agent was courteous and did what they were permitted to do. That's the problem — this isn't incompetence, it's design. No cancel button. A support channel deliberately stripped of the power to cancel. A paper code demanded from digital customers. An international phone call as the only reliable exit. Every one of those is a decision someone made to ensure leaving costs more effort than staying.
If you're comfortable selling subscriptions online, be comfortable cancelling them online. One star, and a warning to anyone considering a Condé Nast title: work out how you'll get out before you get in.

Hateful biased journalists.
A hack organisation, pathetic.
Wired have gladly shredded any degree of writing integrity, resorting to being a simple keyboard hack desperate for attention with a lust for attention that would make Elon Musk blush (probably).
Your objective reviews bring shame to the industry, when IGN can show you how to be objective yet ensure an important issue is heard - you've done goofed up.
Hacks, the lot of you as ActMan says.

Dissappointed by the journalistic integrity of the platform
It's disappointing that journalists can be hired at WIRED that clearly have no journalistic integrity and let their own emotions get in the way of wider informing of their readers.

They lost all integrity with the Hogwarts Legacy review, if you are for sure going to write negative review even if the game was fantastic, as the reviewer mentioned, then you are not to be trusted as a journalistic outlet
