Not a good experience unfortunately.
We looked at reviews and the range of windows available and felt they would do the window and door replacement well.
Instead, we had multiple holes under the internal bay window sills (they returned to fill these when fitting the door but left one hole), and a door that was very difficult to lock. The external bay window sills had been cut to make them fit leaving triangular gaps with filler in. This has already discoloured and sunk a bit, looking worse than the old window sills. The gaps are at widest 9mm.
The company has refused to return unless we pay £450 of the final £500 we have withheld until everything is sorted out. We feel this puts us at a high risk of them not returning and us having to pay more to another company.
Several windows need to be adjusted already (never needed in the old windows)
We have already had to pay another company for an emergency call-out because the door wouldn’t lock and I had injured my hand and was wearing a splint by that point. It has been great since this adjustment.
They have told us we took too long to notify them about some of this (up to two weeks) and that they are doing us a favour by offering to return if we pay the last sum of money.
They blame everyone except themselves when things go wrong (us not being home, previous window fitter, our house etc)

The company was very quick at providing quotes and extremely helpful. The customer service was great and they were very knowledgable. I would definately recommend if you are looking for a new door.

Poor quality and shoddy workmanship. Door won’t close, windows can’t latch closed (skew), excessive welding spots and panes skew so can’t fit glass in properly. Spent thousands fixing what I could. Jani the manager agreed to refund but she failed to be true to her word. Manipulative and dishonest service. Definitely won’t recommend.

Front door and garage door fitted to the highest standard. Best in street. Good communication and helpful from start to finish. Fitters were also very helpful and explained how to operate the electric door.

Recently had a front door and two windows installed by the Window & Door Company. The product is of great quality and the workmanship first class. I will definitely use them again when installing double glazing to the back of the house

I have had the best experience with the Window and Door company.Right from the first phone call to enquire about doors I knew I wasn’t going to get another estimate from anyone else. They were so good at helping me pick the right door,and the fitters were so good and left no mess. I have no problem in recommending the window and door company,thank you all so much, I love my door.

Vision Windows and Doors were very professional and really nice people, they replaced our patio doors and a window that had blown in another room, and we were very pleased with the work that they carried out.Would definitely use them again and recommend them to all our friends.

Called them for a quote to add fixings to my existing patio doors, which they promised to do same day. A fortnight later, a reminder phone call and still nothing. I do wish companies would say when a job is too small rather than not bother to make contact

I had an excellent experience with W & D in February this year from choosing the right doors, through to how quickly they were ordered, delivered and then fitted. They are a great team of guys and very helpful and knowledgeable in windows and doors. They tidied up behind themselves and I thought the price was very reasonable compared to other companies. I will be using them again to replace the windows at the back of my house. 10 stars would be correct rating. Love my new doors x

Title: Expanding door sorted (but I'm still melting)

Allegedly, Scotland had its summer weather for 2o21 imported directly from Ibiza, courtesy of Global Warming Inc. Unfortunately, this is a phenomenon that I'm not designed to deal with and neither are my doors. It's the heat, you see - I melt while the doors expand and contract, making them difficult - well, impossible at times - to lock. This, I have since learned is a known problem - although quite unforeseen, just like the horrenderously hot weather.

Not to worry, when my front door started playing up, I contacted the W&DC to report the issue and was told that someone would pay me a visit to fix the problem. I told them it wasn't urgent but they assured me that someone would attend to the problem sooner rather than later.

Now, admittedly there was a mixup somewhere along the line, which led to a delay - but businesses were just getting back to work after the lockdown - so, I should let that go. Suffice to say, the tradesman that they sent had everything fixed in less than five minutes. Needless to say, I'm a happy customer again. All good and highly recommended.

Title: The Best of the Best

I needed a new front door and a replacement back door; at least, that was the "eventual" solution based upon the advice of several professionals. The internet gave me a list of potential suppliers, which I amended using a few "informed opinions" from some "Customers" I knew, who had previously been in a similar situation.

And so, a number of potential suppliers came and went, each leaving their respective quotation, describing their proposed solution and the associated cost.

Now, please don't get me wrong: There are a good few established suppliers out there, all of whom can provide both a quality service and a quality product. But, IMHO, there is one company that you should always contact first: the Window & Door Company (W&DC).

Why? (where to begin?): Well, 1) the craftsmanship and quality of their products is outstanding, 2) their service is second to none, 3) their prices put each and every one of their competitors to shame; seriously, you would be forgiven if, upon receiving a quote, you thought, "At that price, the W&DC's products can't be that good." I assure you, their services and products ARE that good; in fact, they're even better than you could realistically expect. How they manage to keep their prices so low, I can't tell you (because I don't know); but they do.

If I could give the W&DC six stars, I would (in fact, make that seven). As the title suggests, they are "the best of the best."

In addition, they were in incredibly flexible, my installation was completed within a few weeks, their work ethic is beyond reproach, you can visit their factory (which I would recommend), etc., etc., etc. I could probably go on forever (well, ...), but.

Simply put, if you want to pay thousands of pounds (sterling), more than you need to, for your windows and doors, that's up to you. But, how about you do as I did?: Contact the Window & Door Company and prepare to be amazed!

And, no, I am not being "paid" to "say" all this. As above, they (just) fitted my brand new front door assembly and replacement back door. And did I mention the bit about being "amazed?" Oh, I did, didn't I? What more can I say?

Workmen worked really well and left job immaculately. The workmanship was finished perfectly and the door itself with locking system was excellent. Would highly recommend.
