Sunroom Discrimination
We recently went to the Kerrville Home Show in Kerrville Tx for the express purpose of talking to Sunroom companies. We plan plan to put a great big 35 x 12 All-Seasons room onto our home. We talked with a rep with Champion Sunrooms and set up an appointment for someone to come out and give us a quote. We also talked with the 2 other Sunroom Companies while we were there. Our first appointment for Champion to come out was for Friday, April 3 @ 6:00pm. Someone called us the day before to confirm the appointment. However by 6:40pm on Friday the 3rd, no one had shown up nor had they called. We called them that evening to find out what had happened. No reason was given, but the rep set up another appointment for the next day, which was Saturday, April 4th @ 9am. Saturday came, 9am rolled around and it was a "no call, no show" once again. I called Champion to let them know and informed them that was 2 strikes. The rep apologized and once again reset our appointment, this time for today - Tuesday, March 7 @ 6pm. Today at 2:25pm, my husband was informed that they were cancelling because we live in Manufactured Home in a Mobile Home Park in which we rent the land, but own the home outright. I'm not sure WHY that has any bearing on the situation unless they think we planned to finance the Sunroom, but that's not the case as we planned to pay outright in cash. It's also been approved by the City and by the Mobile Home Park already. This is terrible business practice and it's also discrimination. Obviously, this business believes that someone who lives in a mobile home park is naturally just trash and can't afford something like a Sunroom. We'll be giving our cold hard cash to another company that treats all people equally no matter where they happen to live.
Champion Is Not It
Windows are fine and look good, albeit expensive, but we went ahead with Champion based on a personal reference and the fact that there was no middleman - everything is handled by Champion from sale, to manufacture, to installation and support. Really, at every step along the way, there have been issues. Post-sale financing took too long, manufacture and shipment of the windows were delayed, installation left us with missing screens and a broken window, which then meant dealing with support, which has been horrendous. Still waiting on the screens and window, and the interior was damaged during installation.
MISERABLE 369-DAY EXPERIENCE
7-11-22: We order a storm door (front) & sliding glass door (back) through James of Champion Windows. He is charming; just the kind of person you want representing your company on Day 1. Unfortunately, ALL THE OTHER DAYS THAT WILL FOLLOW are a sharp slope downhill at breakneck speed until you find yourself, more than a year later, with work still undone, major depression, & a mounting collection of photographic evidence of damage done to the front & back of your home/property.
I made a fatal flaw. I looked at the Google stars/# of reviews & concluded that CW was sufficient to do the work. What I should have done was pull up all the 1-star reviews & look at the clear pattern. I should have checked the Better Business Bureau (BBB) (where they have an F rating!) to see ALL the unhappy people that CW has bilked of their deposits, only to leave the work undone, read about damage to property, insincere promises, & SUBCONTRACTORS they use to do the work. Now that I’m in this predicament, it seems evidence of CW’s neglect, delaying tactics, & property damage is everywhere. They have been sued multiple times & the number of filed complaints against them at the BBB exceeds 150!

Raccoon-like 3rd party subcontractor [who looks like an ex-con and is confusingly aided by his surly teenager] dismantles our door, throwing parts of it into my flowerbeds which his kid has already trampled. Says OOPS, they sent the wrong door. This one opens to the opposite side. Old door is now in pieces. Guy puts door on opening the wrong way. He then rips our old front storm door off with so little care that he peels the paint off the molding, leaving a severely paint-stripped mess. Worst part: he didn't cop to the damage or mention it to ANYONE. He damaged my home & skulked away. He also spotted our floors with an industrial adhesive which would not come off with cleaners, Mr. Clean sponges, or even alcohol.
9-22-22
Install Mgr JW gives me the option to flip the door they just put in OR order a brand new sliding glass door (SGD). I said, "If you're asking me which I want, I want a brand new door that is exactly what we initially ordered." Calls later, backpedals & says they will just flip current SGD. Why did he even offer a choice? [NOTE: JW was fired early in 2023 due to his falsifying of orders/lying to customers. This according to current branch manager.] ANOTHER DOOR MUST BE ORDERED.
11-02-22
Techs flip the SGD so they open to the proper side. Multiple problems/concluded that doors are not reversable. Locks don’t line up, door handle isn’t switchable without losing ergonomics & function, screen latch is now 6 inches lower.
1-25-23
JW texts an update: still waiting on SGD. Expect it in 2 wks. I also have txts to JW going back MONTHS where I have had to repeatedly ask for the keys to our new front storm door which never made it to us from the fired worker's pocket. JW says keys are gone/lost & he will have to install a new handle, which he has. Great! Can I have them??
3-22-23
Call from CustSvc, saying THERE IS NO DOOR ON ORDER & confusing an already complicated situation by introducing some non-existent issue of my wanting "blinds" for the sliding door & THAT was the reason for the delay. They were waiting for me to decide. WHAT?? The word "blinds" was never mentioned by ANYONE, EVER in our dealings & in fact I hate blinds & would have declined that feature if it had ever come up WHICH IT DIDN'T.
4-14-23
Guy RE-ASSESSES SGD. Says he will finally bring & install new front storm door handle & give us keys. He shows up without either. Says he has to RE-ORDER.
5-30-23
Tech replaces SGD. Screen door still upside down. Rep in PA calls: "Your new front storm door handle HAS JUST BEEN ORDERED." They told us they ordered this 6 wks ago! MORE LIES.
6-02-23
Screen door is installed FINALLY completing HALF of what we contracted for 327 DAYS AGO.
6-20-23
Keys/front storm door handle replaced. Handle is MUCH PUNIER.
7-14-23
CW invoices us for final balance. 369 DAYS FROM START TO FINISH ON 2 DOORS.
I purchased windows from Champion…
I purchased windows from Champion Windows & Home Exteriors. When the salesman came out, he made his presentation and I decided to proceed with installation. With the purchase, I was given a voucher called "Voucher with Destination Motivation". I had to send them a prepayment of $100 which I sent. After months of sending emails, calling and leaving voicemails no one has returned my call or responded to my emails. Total rip off! As for the windows, I have noticed some deficiencies, but I don't dare to call because they don't return your call one way or the other! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! BEWARE! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!

No show, no window
I will start with this. From the guy sent out here to measure my window. He measured incorrectly. When your crew came out to install my window the first time, there was 1 guy to install a 10 ft window. The window was measured incorrectly so it was 3 inches short on both sides for length, and short almost 2 inches for width. The installer got an attitude when I asked about the window being short. So another window was ordered. The day of the install for the new correctly sized window was canceled because of a broken sash. Now today I had an appointment for 8-12 for this window to be installed and no one showed up. I have been waiting for weeks to get this fixed. I have holes in the front of my house where my old bay window is that have been subjected to the elements. I took a vacation day from work for this to happen and no one showed up. If I did my job the way your company has with my window installation I’d be fired. Completely unacceptable. Unable to get a hold of the project manager Julius Tyler to get this resolved. I will never use your company again.
Do better champion.

Non custom “custom” doors
Ordered a “custom” door with built in dog door. Received a plain door. Was told someone would be out to cut a hole in my brand new “custom” door and install the dog door. I could have done that. 4 weeks of various excuses about not receiving the correct dog door and they have now totally cut off contact with me. So I have a 5k door that’s uglier than the original and still no dog door. This company is a scam. Don’t let the fancy salesman fool you. When it comes to the product and service it’s total crap.

BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE. I purchased a sunroom from Champion 3 years ago. My warranty was for 15 years per my contract. I called for service on 12/11/25 and now it is 2/16/26 and no one has contacted me for service. I have talked to 4 different people at Champion with no results. At this point they have no service on their products. I assume I will have to take legal action at this time. The windows are sagging after 3 years; I can only assume the windows where not installed properly.

Doesn't quality for energy efficient tax benefit
We just returned from the tax office. After scouring the internet and waiting on hold with the Champion home office to get the pin that would authorize our tax break, we discovered that Champion doesn't qualify for the energy efficient tax break due to its low UV rating. In addition, we've experienced the frustration others have complained about: very poor communication and service delays. So far we've had no big issue with our doors or windows (though not impressed with the screens) but not at all happy to see the bad reviews on its warranty since we live in a hurricane zone.

Do not use this company
Do not use this company. They don't have what they sell. They install horribly. They try to install lesser quality stuff than what you paid for. They ruin your personal property while installing and try to say they didn't. They can't get a window from their factory without scratches all over them. They take as long as they please without regard to you or your schedule. We were stuck with them for over a year and a half simply trying to get what we paid for. Their customer service is less than nothing.

Poor customer service post install
The sales rep was great and very helpful, which made the experience start off well. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill. The installation took much longer to even begin than what was promised. Then, a piece of siding fell off over two months ago.
Customer support was responsive at first and said someone would come out soon, but it’s now been over two months with no repair and no response to my follow-up inquiries. Meanwhile, water from recent snowstorms has been getting behind the siding through the missing area and into my garage, which raises real concerns about potential damage.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend Champion Windows and Siding.

STAY AWAY
STAY AWAY: A $10k+ Lesson in Amateurism and Deceit
1 star because you can’t give ZERO
If you are looking for professional "black windows," do not buy from Champion. My experience, which began on July 23, 2025, has been a six-month masterclass in poor craftsmanship, logistical failure, and utter disrespect for the customer.
The "Premium" Black Window Scam
I was very explicit during the sales process: I wanted a true black exterior. I paid extra for this "upgrade." What I received was an embarrassment.
• The "Spray-Paint" Finish: These aren't manufactured black; they appear to be white windows haphazardly sprayed black. Upon delivery, the frames were covered in scratches with white plastic peeking through. There was even black paint overspray on the glass.
• White Channels: Champion fails to disclose that the sliding channels remain stark white. From the street, you see a black frame with a cheap white stripe down the sides, top and bottom. It looks like a DIY aftermarket paint job, not a professional product.
• The "Fix": Their service team suggested spray painting the white channels—which would obviously rub off the first time the window is opened.
Incompetent Installation & Measurement
Out of four windows, one was under-measured by a staggering 2.25 inches in both directions. Champion’s own tolerance is 1/4 inch. To "fix" it, the installers literally propped the unit up on a 2x4. This massive error delayed my entire siding and painting schedule for months. One photo even shows an exposed nail holding the trim on—zero attention to detail or safety.
The Screen Saga (7/23/25 – 1/31/26 and counting)
• Sept 9: Original install. No screens provided.
• Nov 7: Re-install appointment. No-show.
• Nov 21: Window replaced, but screens arrived in white.
• Dec – Jan: I have called weekly. Every 30-minute call requires me to re-explain the entire history because their internal notes are a mess. Every time, I am told "it's on the next truck." It is now January 31, 2026, and I still do not have the screens I paid for in July.
Zero Accountability
I have never received an apology. Field reps are flippant and rude. Management is "always in a meeting" and never returns calls. They have your money, so they simply stop caring.
Bottom Line: Champion is selling a lie. Their "black windows" are a cheap, painted imitation of a premium product, and their customer service is non-existent. Go with a competitor; literally anyone else would be better than this.
Take of two windows
Ordered two windows. A bay in the front and a garden in the rear. Were told that these were the highest priced in their line up.
Measured and after several weeks they came to install these. They cut through an electrical line in the front room during installation And then tore out sheet rock to fin a new electrical line. Leaving unfinish fry wall and tons of silicone filler at the joining surface topping the window.
Kitchen window was ok but when the opening mech failed they wanted $135.00 for a service call on a lift time warranty window .
Save time and money and go Anderson
Bad customer service
I will not do business with your company.

Champion was a no show
Rep texted prior to appt-asked if all decision makers would be present as they have deals that are only good day of. I explained that I wasn't keen on that strategy and maybe cancel appt. He proceeded to tell me"if that's the kind of deal you want, you should be shopping at Home Depot or Lowe's...I mean I'm just putting that on the table". Maybe not a very professional response. I rescheduled appt (requested different rep). They were supposed to show up 11/05 at 6pm. Nobody showed up, nobody called or texted. I texted them, no response. Texted again, no response. If I can't even get a professional rep to come out, I have to assume that's reflective of company culture - high pressure sales, not customer centric.
It's been 4 months now on a warranty…
It's been 4 months now on a warranty claim to replace a window sash that failed. Warranties are great if the company offering them backs them up in a timely manner. I've chased and chased Champion and to date, still have no idea if the window sash has been produced or where it is.
