Second time working with WGA and Jackie. Highly Recommended.

This is the second time we’ve worked with WGA and Jackie in particular who was excellent to work with every step of the way. Giving great advice and knowing that she was always at the other end of the phone whenever queries arose really helped moving home be as stress free as it could possibly be.

WGA Conveyancing

WGA were appointed to oversee our conveyancing when we sold our home and purchased a new property. Anna Hall kept us in the loop at all times and managed the whole process without any hindrance or delay.

If I could give 0 I would.

After putting in a website enquiry I heard nothing for almost a week, so decided to call.

After being transferred to the rudest person I have ever spoken to I would never recommend this company.

As a potential client the way this boy spoke to me was nothing short of disgusting.

He asked for a time frame I was looking at for my request he replied ‘HA no chance’ I’m surprised they have enough clients to even be busy.

Steer clear unless you like to be spoken to like you’ve just been walked through.

Professional and thorough

Anna in King's Lynn was professional and helpful from the moment we appointed her to carry out conveyancing on our behalf. We completed documents before we even had a buyer which enabled Anna to review whether there were any obvious omissions or questions a buyer's solicitor may ask and have responses ready. This enabled our part of the buying process to be completed without delay. Questions were answered quickly and clearly by both Anna and her secretary Laura,

Antiquated and disorganised

Antiquated, outdated and unorganized.. a simple house conveyancing matter feels like its happening despite of them not because of them.
Very little advice or work being done, they essentially just seem to pass documents back and forth. Its also extremely frustrating they they prefer to avoid modern systems everyone else is using, my last two house purchases over the last 14 years have been completed using electronic document handling,
WGA send mixed signals in one email after being pushed they say they use virtual Signature, in another they outright refused to do anything electronically. outside factors apart a process that should have taken 2-3 weeks maximum is delayed with hard copies taking weeks to pass between all parties..
I'd say its time they embraced the future but its not even that, they seem stuck in 1993 whilst everyone else has been using electronic documents for 20 years...!!!
No real level of attention and when you raise an issue there is no apology or acknowledgement, its simply ignored and they carry on regardless.

Very shockingly bad and scarily sub-standard

Terrible. The female at Swaffham was fine but she left,
KL head of Office and Ely man were in cohoots to destroy me; a female whose deceased lifepartner of 25 years had failed to make a will. The house was owned 50/50 . The Head of the KL office insultingly obliged me to get my brother to act for me, and to get a GP to state that I had capacity. They did not assist me in any way to have many possesions retuned to me. So, in effect, 25 years of stuff was either sent to charity or taken by my late partner's son. In effect; stolen. Other solicitors these days I have discovered are able to try to assist life partners who did not marry, nor leave an adequate will. Unclear scribbled notes on the will were not investigated.

Not Good!

Not Good!

WGA, Occupy a building in quite a prominent position overlooking market square Ely, you would therefore be forgiven for thinking that WGA offer a service which matches their imposing facade, however, from my experience of 3 x instructing them to act for me, nothing could be further from the truth, and from of their inactions/actions, they have proven to be a very difficult and expensive experience.
Looking at the 3 x I have instructed WGA, it is obvious to see a pattern emerging....of a company which over stretches itself time and again, I suspect due to greed in not wanting to turn work away, solicitors unable to cope with the workload coupled with a company which is unable to say to its cliental that it is over capacity to take on any further work...
My first instruction with them to conveyance the purchase of my land ended up with the developer threatening to re-market the land due to the amount of time it was taking for the process to progress.
The second time was not much better, I found the solicitor difficult to contact and when i did, only to find that nothing had been done.
The third time was when I was charged 2.5k for delaying the process (stopping the process due to issues on site), I refused to pay this fee and hense the process was stopped.
WGAs, solicitors/staff are friendly enough however this belies the fact that they blatantley over charge and when challenged over the costs they become super defensive, (normally a sign of guilt)and the service is painfully slow. The solicitors are often difficult to contact to discuss issues and seem to spend most of their time on 'annual leave' and then passing the case onto a paralegal who has been given very little information about the case.
It seemed to me that WGA waited until I was quite a way into conveyance process and then decided to over charge me believing that I would just simply pay up due to being so far into the process?
I pulled out of the deal due to their over charging, and due to this I lost £1750 in fees and a valuation fee, I consider that this is money which WGA has effectively stole from me.
I have used another group of solicitors for my conveyancing who have been absolutely spot on and a breath of fresh air compared to the painful experience that is WGA.

Was recommended a lady .

Was recommended a lady .! Over priced £360.00 for a appointment should of been £268.00 .+ vat on government Web site ! This was financial hearing.given not helpful advice I was made to feel very upset.and waste of my hard earn cash.. went there for help come away with heart ache.plus the receptionist wanted me to pay £360.00 to look at my files! I said that's included in the appointment price not paying £700.00 for appointment. And was agreed the town when I got there had to drive to Ely..so out of pocket .

1* is to much after leaving a domestic violence marriage my ex agreed to pay half of the solicitors fees which he didn’t I was charged over £4000 and ended up getting nowhere I made a complaint and was told it wasn’t there fault it was my husbands fault obviously only care about taking money from vulnerable people
