I was on the hunt for a POS system with some bells and whistles to use for a unique service! I came across Wellyx and is so thankful that they accepted the challenge to customize my preferences! The entire team have been Champions in assisting in getting things set-up, but also being readily available to teach me so that I can also become more familiar with the system to ensure that I can accomplish as much as I wanted with the System per my request! What has made my experience great? Customer Service! I have a small pilates studio and have just switched from MindBody. Wellyx from day 1 has been tending to every need that I have. They have given me the time in onboarding I needed to fully implement my software without issues. Of course, setting up software is time consuming and tedious, but they were there with me every step of the way. I have had the same tech support team who knows my studio details and can quickly fix any issue that arises. No automated email responses or AI assistant to fix an issue. When I reach out to tech, I get a REAL human to wants to help quickly when something comes up. Every software has different capabilities, Wellyx is meeting my needs. There are a few developments that would help my business flow immensely, and, they are also willing to make those developments for me. Thank you Emma and team!

Over promise, under deliver

After lots of different demos with other software companies, we decided to go with Wellyx to open our new business a 24/7 gym with access control. We paid for the year in advance for a discount but I do not recommend doing this option because after we found out the software wasn’t going to work (3 months in) for our business model were told we couldn’t get a refund (update: we did receive a partial refund but only after much back and forth with them over many weeks).

Also, ask for all this information upfront and ask to sign a user agreement. We did not do this, and regret it. We paid our invoice and never saw a user agreement.

I gave Wellyx 3 stars because the customer service was great for us until it wasn't. Very helpful and willing to work with you. Like some others have experienced in other reviews, as soon as we wanted to cancel and asked for a refund it took weeks for them to get back to us.

Our biggest problem with the software is that there were way too many options. Too many tabs, too many buttons, too many switches, too many boxes to fill out to do one simple thing. It was like drinking from a fire hose. We had to have support call after support call.

After 3 months we were still having to have weekly support calls just to do something as simple as sending an invoice. Wellyx tries to accommodate everyone and every situation meaning you’ll have a bunch of stuff you don’t want or need.

There is also a big disconnect between the sales team and the engineering team. The sales team will say “yep, we do that” to make you happy and then leave the engineers to figure that out later after you ask for it because they don’t have it. It’s an over-promise, under-deliver model.

Finally, we used their door access and found it to be very confusing (for both us and the customer) and clunky. Again, they are trying to accommodate everything and everyone. We decided to move on and use two companies: one that only does door access (alarm.com) and another a software company that just does gym memberships (Push Press).

We wanted Wellyx to work but it wasn’t for us. Do your research and ask for a user agreement.

Really good software for our gym and spa

We have been using Wellyx for around 18 months now, and have found the software really good. We have around 15 staff using the software and the feedback is good. Whenever we have any issues the support responds quickly and solves our issues (which is usually our understanding issue rather than software).

I chose Wellyx as they offered everything that I was looking for my gym software. Their customer support has been fantastic, very responsive during the initial set up and as we went live. I also created a website with them and they were very quick with the delivery of the final product.

Great All in One System

Overall the system has great features and potential. For our gym model and the specifics that we need, it just didn't work out. The Wellyx team worked with us to get some features set up that we would have needed, but there were just some things we needed that kept us from fully moving forward.

We loved the layout and how in depth staff positions could be in terms of their access abilities. As previously mentioned, there are a ton of great things about their system. It just didn't work out for our business. I would recommend them to other businesses for sure.
