Holly was amazing at the Gateshead Wed2B store! I was really nervous to go, and she made me feel settled as soon as I was with her. She listened to all the information that I had given her (which was not much originally as I was feeling clueless) about what dress I had in mind and managed to find my perfect dress. She asked if I was okay and having a lovely experience every opportunity she could, and made me feel beautiful in every dress I tried on. You always hear horror stories of 'snooty' wedding dress salespeople, but none of the staff at the store were like this! I am so over the moon with my experience and how comfortable and happy I felt. I returned the next week to show my family, and despite the long wait time and the nerves, Holly made me feel calm and supported all the way through yet again.

I really loved the way holly picked out dresses for me and she came up with the perfect idea for me to have both style of dresses I wanted in one dress as I was struggling to decide. She made my choice easy and the process a lot more relaxed.

Wonderful experience at the Gateshead store from start to finish 😊 I came along last saturday and found the whole team to be warm and friendly and the store well run on a busy saturday. I was assisted by a lovely and fairly new member of the team, Lily. Lily was incredibly helpful and made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable.. I'm not the easiest shopper either! Lily was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. Myself, my mum, and my sister all commented on how fab she was! Arrived feeling a bit anxious and out of my depth as i'd never set foot in a bridal shop ever, and left feeling confident, and delighted and with my dream wedding dress and having had a great experience whilst finding it. Lily is an asset to the Gateshead team and would like to thank you all again 🥰

After a negative experience at a different bridal shop we came to Wed2Be on the off chance but I didnt have much hope after feeling deflated from a previous appointment. But from walking in the door everyone was so friendly and lovely. Then we met Kate our consultant who was so lovely. She sat down and spoke to me, asking about my parnter, how we met, our wedding and showed real genuine interest. She instantly made me feel at ease. She went out, and came back with a dress. I was skeptical trying it on, but my god, it was perfect. Kate helped me get the dress on, fastened it and helped me out. She hyped up my family knowing how I much I loved the dress and as soon as I walked out we all cried. She helped me with a veil, and made me feel beautiful. She never rushed me, never forced a sale, she was just so helpful and genuinely lovely. She gave me an experience i will never forget, and helped me pick the dress I will walk down the isle in. I cannot reccomend them enough.

Today I purchased my dress from Wed2be in Gateshead, as a plus sized Bride I’ve put off looking at dresses as I was so apprehensive, from the second I walked through the door I was made to feel at ease, My consultant Denise was absolutely amazing, she listened to what I was looking for and took that into consideration, she then also showed me what she thought would look good and this is the dress I ended buying, this shows she has a good knowledge of what she was doing, from start to finish this was an amazing experience, would highly recommend.

I managed to find a dress in one visit! Kate was so friendly and helpful, she found exactly what I wanted (from the very first dress she picked!) I was also given a good few different options to try, the team is so lovely, I had a great time and said yes to a dress!

I ordered my bridesmaid dress online after trying it on at the Wed2B Newcastle branch in September 2025, as the colour I wanted wasn’t available in store. I was contacted to collect the order and visited on 10th January at 9:00am.

Unfortunately, the customer service was poor. The sales assistant’s demeanour changed when I explained I was there to collect an order rather than try on dresses. The dress was handed over hanging by its internal loops on a cardboard hanger inside an open plastic bag.

When I declined to purchase a £10 garment bag and asked for tape to seal the bag due to the bad weather, this was refused and I was told to carry the dress “like a baby.”

Having paid £150, I expected a much better level of service. While I may purchase from Wed2B again, I would be very cautious about the customer service at the Newcastle branch.

The staff are so welcoming and listen to what you looking for and take into account how you feel about your body, the have excellent knowledge of dresses and can guide you through the process. Been to other places that pick or put you in dresses that magnify your insecurities but Wed2Be are very different they listen and make the whole experience amazing and relaxing. So happy with both wedding dress and bridesmaids dress thank you .

I really appreciated how knowledgable and kind the staff were, particularly Katy! I am autistic and I told Katy while I was trying on dresses with her. She was so kind, so patient and genuinely friendly, and when I told her that sensory comfort was important to me, she asked me lots of questions and tailored her dress recommendations to exactly what I was describing. She was genuinely interested in making sure I was going to have the best day in a dress that I loved. The experience was so wholesome and I will definitely recommend the Newcastle branch to my friends when / if they get hitched in the future :)

I had holly at the gateshead wed2be and she was fantastic. She went through everything with me , How the shop works etc . Made me feel at ease , i had seen a dress online that caught my eye and once i tried it on . It brought me to tears and bridesmaid and knew it was the one! We met the lovely Brogan today… I was her first ever bride. I absolutely hate shopping at the best of times so wedding dress shopping felt daunting and overwhelming, however Brogan made this experience the best it ever could be. She listened to what i wanted and we went with it… i thought i knew exactly what i wanted…. Turned out i didnt and she found me the most beautiful dress ever. She put me at ease, and the whole experience was fantastic. These ladies know their stuff !! Im now so more excited for my big day !!!!

attended wed2b newcastle today. was greeted by Holly who assisted us throughout our appointment. very helpful, listened to all comments and encouraged me to try a variety of dresses on. great experience, very helpful & managed to find my dress 🙂

I had a very poor experience with another bridal company so was very reluctant to try again, however I still needed a dress. When I spoke to the Becks in store and told her all about it, she went above and beyond.
I was made to feel so special. As an older bride who has never worn a wedding dress I was quite nervous and felt a little pout of place, but Becks made ma feel so important and so comfortable. It made my experience perfect.

Went in on a sunday a couple of months before my wedding tried on a few dresses and fell in love with a mikano dress absolutly perfect for me. The staff were lovely and very helpful. It was a fantastic experience

On my First visit I was overwhelmed due to trying dresses on for the very first time. We were welcomed by Denise who was lovely, calming and encouraging. She settled my nerves. We didn't find my dress on the first visit but I was encouraged to come back.
We visited again today with my bridal squad and where looked after by Becks. Again, Becks was calming and just lovely. Today I said yes to the dress! Thank you both Denise & Becks for all you've done. Honestly had the best experience finding my dress. Never felt judged or rushed. Happy tears where cried today.
