We visited wed2b looking for a dress for prom. One entering the store we were greeted by a lovely lady who made us feel very comfortable and showed us the bridesmaid dresses and allowed to look freely and try on as many dresses as wished. My daughter suffers with social anxiety and was rather stressed at the thought of going to try dresses on but our experience was wonderful. We left having purchased nothing but returned the following day, tried dresses again and purchased a dress on our second visit which was once again in a very relaxed environment. We were also emailed a list of seamstresses to contact to alter the dress. All in all would highly recommend.

I had such a lovely experience at Wed2B the girls made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Lily who helped me was very friendly and picked out exactly what I had expressed I liked. Couldn’t have faulted her!

The most special experience, ending in tears for me and my mum and definitely not at the price which was extremely reasonable!!

Where do I even begin?! I attended Wed2b with my Bridesmaids and was blown away by not only the hospitality but the friendly and kind staff, not to mention the relaxed atmosphere which i definitelywasnt expecting having never done this before. I was greeting by Shannon the manager who talked to me as if we'd known each other for years rather than the typical robot "hi, how can I help you" which put me at massive ease! I had the amazing help of Kate and Denise, both absolutely beautiful people, they were so excited after telling them about my weddings plans, they took everything I said I wanted and didn't want, the colours, theme of the wedding - I'm getting married at Bamburgh Castle so wanted princess but elegant without looking like a pageant queen and my word did they deliver! I tried on all different options of dresses as I didn't have a clue - this was my first bridal dress shop I'd been in! Then, then they brought out THAT dress, absolutely everything I wanted, I'd requested almost as if they'd made it themselves... I had to have it! Then the veil, again all different options and gave me their honest opinions (I'm an overthinker and panicked so this was a massive benefit for myself personally). We laughed, giggled, jested and then eventually cried when they found my dress and veil. I got to have a pretend walk down the aisle. I've never had such a fantastic customer service experience in my life. So I said "yes to the dress". First time, first shop and I truly would not recommend anywhere else for brides to be. Thank you so much ladies, you made me experience brilliant and bagged me a winner, 10 out of 10 dress!

We arrived at 1:30pm and the store closes at 4pm, so I completely appreciate that staff may have been mindful of time. However, the welcome we received was incredibly disappointing.

We couldn’t have felt more unwelcome if they had tried. The atmosphere was cold, and the interaction made us feel like an inconvenience rather than potential customers. Wedding shopping is such a special experience, and sadly this visit left me feeling uncomfortable instead of excited.

Had the welcome been more friendly, we would have happily waited or even booked an appointment to return. Instead, we left and went to Wed4Less, where I purchased the most perfect dress and received the warm, welcoming experience every bride hopes for.

A little kindness really does make all the difference.

I had a good experience when buying my wedding dress. Staff were helpful and friendly and made it feel relaxed.
The only negative thing was that the extra cost for things like a hanger, dress box and dress bag were added to the bill without prior discussion and I ended up paying for a dress box that I didn’t need.

Had a wonderful experience finding my wedding dress. The girls in the shop made me feel comfortable and knew the dresses well. First experience wedding dress shop and was overwhelmed as having no idea what I wanted and wedding this year. They took plenty of time and I wasn’t rushed as I visited the store two days at the weekend of purchasing my dress. Was welcomed by becs with no pressure to try if I wasn’t comfortable but was introduced to Kate on my first visit where novaan and Dallas were strong contenders and saw holly the next day and found my dress. All the girls I met made my experience such a good one. I was made to feel welcome and they took the time to get to know what I liked and didn’t with each dress and picked out dresses for me to try.. its nice how they all get involved and it’s not just the person your trying the dressing on with. They all come to see and see how you feel in the dress, I thought I was sold on the dress I originally went to see which was the novaan I tried it and loved it. But wanted to be open minded and try others I had saw whilst browsing to see and to my surprise the dress that holly picked out actually turned out to be my yes dress. Which wasn’t the novaan! It was completely different to what I thought I would get. Also got my veil and my little girls flower girl dress. She was made a fuss off when she tried her dress on and hopefully it will be something she remembers when growing up, being part of such a special memory with my little girl. Will be going back for my bridesmaids to try on some dresses. Fantastic customer care! Will be sharing my experience with other bride to bes.

Today I visited the Newcastle
/Gateshead Wed2b store, and from the moment I walked in I was so impressed. All of the girls are extremely helpful and made me feel at ease the whole time I was in the store. I was served by a girl called Lily who is a credit to the team. I’ve been really nervous about trying on wedding dresses, but her bubbly personality really calmed me. She listened to exactly what I wanted and absolutely delivered, resulting in me saying yes to the dress. I can’t thank Lily enough for the experience she gave me when finding my dream wedding dress.

From the start till the end , everyone I encountered were professional and friendly, even apologizing for a slight wait of about 2 minutes. The person who delt with me personally, was very professional and asked a load of questions to get an idea of my dream dress. After every try on there was a couple of questions to get a better understanding of what I was looking for. I finally found my dress which I fell in love with a minor alteration. Overall a very warm, welcomong, friendly and professional place. I'm so happy with how it all turned out

Lauren was amazing! Took her time listening to how picky and indecisive I was and ended up finding my dress! Lauren really helped with how overwhelming picking a dress is, I didn’t feel rushed or like an inconvenience.

Absolutely loved my visit today, was so easy and stress free, Lauren was amazing and so helpful with everything and helped me find the perfect dress!!

Brogan listened to everything i wanted, still give me a couple of dresses that wasn’t exactly what i wanted to make sure i had explored all options before jumping in. I cried when my dream dress got brought to me! She made me feel so comfortable whilst trying them on, as i have a lot of insecurities about my own body. We also had a lovely little chat at the start on the sofa so Brogan could find out things about my wedding to get a better idea of styles i’m into. I walked away happy! ✨🩷

I went today 3/2/26 for a look at dresses I didn’t really expect to come away with one, as I just didn’t have faith I’d find anything to suit me. As soon as you walk in you are made to feel very welcome.
Lauren was my consultant and she had a lovely chat with me before we even started trying on anything, this made me feel very comfortable.
Thank you Wed2be for making my whole experience very easy and not uncomfortable at all. And Lauren you were so friendly and helped me from start to finish, so I’d just like to say a big thank you for that 😍 and I now have my beautiful dress and know I’ll be feeling lovely on my special day.

Consultant was a lovely girl, however, I did go in with the names of the dresses I wanted to try, yet she didnt bring any of them out.
Felt rushed when it came to buying, didnt get a look at the basket so had to ask questions when she got up to put everything through the till.
Yes, I came out with a dress but it could have been a different dress had she brought the ones I wanted to try on.
So, now I dont know if I have the right dress.

Bex was amazing! She was lovely and so professional. The experience was just prefect in every way and of course, I said YES to the dress! Thank you Bex for being apart of our special day, huge credit to Wed2b!

While the consultant was knowledgeable and helpful when selecting dresses, and I did ultimately purchase a beautiful dress, the end of the appointment felt overly sales-driven and pressured.

Additional items were added to the cost without clear explanation, pushing the total beyond my budget. I felt pressured into purchasing these additional items that I hadn’t budgeted for as was made to feel uncomfortable when I questioned or declined them.

Comments suggesting the dress would be gone the same day if I didn’t buy made the experience feel rushed and transactional. Although I’m happy with the dress itself, I left feeling disappointed that what should have been a special, memorable moment was overshadowed by pressure to purchase

Holly was amazing at the Gateshead Wed2B store! I was really nervous to go, and she made me feel settled as soon as I was with her. She listened to all the information that I had given her (which was not much originally as I was feeling clueless) about what dress I had in mind and managed to find my perfect dress. She asked if I was okay and having a lovely experience every opportunity she could, and made me feel beautiful in every dress I tried on. You always hear horror stories of 'snooty' wedding dress salespeople, but none of the staff at the store were like this! I am so over the moon with my experience and how comfortable and happy I felt. I returned the next week to show my family, and despite the long wait time and the nerves, Holly made me feel calm and supported all the way through yet again.
