I go to Viking Optical in Halesworth and I won’t go anywhere else. The staff are so knowledgeable, honest and nothing is ever too much trouble. The service is incredible.

Excellent binoculars for a newbie (RSPB Skylark® 8 x 42) and super-helpful staff (particular thanks to Edward from their repair team).
They sent a new rubber eyepiece cap immediately when it arrived slightly damaged and also gave me useful info about how to set up the binos and attach the strap.

More than 5 stars for sales experience, product quality and ongoing support.
When I first bought the binoculars I was amazed at the quality of vision and how much more I could see. I was also impressed with how easy to was to purchase the binoculars and speedily they were delivered. When a double image fault developed I was gutted but contacted customer service and received a prompt response. I was reassured and given careful instructions on returning the binoculars for repair. The binoculars were returned to me as good as new, if not better! And the cost was covered by the warranty. If only all businesses were as good as this. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Repaired binoculars.
First contact with the company was wonderful. Lady on the phone pleasant and very knowledgeable about repairs needed for my RSPB binoculars. Sent them away for assessment with info that it would be a week until they were looked at, and any repairs at this time of year to be approx 4-6 weeks. The whole process, from sending my binoculars by post, was completed in just over a fortnight, and I now have my binoculars back and fully repaired. Thank you Viking for excellent communication and an overall amazing experience with your company.

My Swallow 50 was badly damaged after…
My Swallow 50 was badly damaged after falling over while attached to a tripod. I returned it to RSPB Pulborough where I had purchased it from and they sent it back to Viking. 2 weeks later I received a call from the RSPB to say it was ready for collection. Viking had given me a new replacement Swallow 50 telescope free of charge. I cannot commend Viking highly enough for such great service. Thank you. Sylfan Hammond ref 6161 Halesworth

Quick turn a round.
Had a problem with the leg of my Swallow tripod. Spoke to Edward and then returned (the out of warranty) leg at 14:15 on the 10/2 at 11:15 on the 13/2 the leg was back with me after a FOC repair. Out standing service from Viking once again.

Spotting scope repair
Sent my old optolyth spotting scope in for repair/service. Couldn't believe how good a job they have done. For a scope that's probably 40 years old it's like new. Crystal clear & the focus is really smooth.they kept me updated with the work being done & when they had sent it back to me. Couldn't be happier. Thank you so much

Amazing Service
Very helpful when I called for advice.
My binoculars were returned to me super quickly and were back to feeling new. A new strap had been put on for me. I don’t know what else had been done but the service was fantastic and at no charge.

I got rid of all my Zeiss Equipment (I was a lifelong Zeiss user 40 years!), because of the companies on-going strong ties to hunting birds, big game, and of course, military use.
I changed my optics to the Viking 10x42 Osprey, Viking Swallow ED Spotting Scope, and Kowa 6.5x32 (Kowa have a weak link, but not too concerning).
I thought I might notice, but this was no downgrade in either optical performance or service as Viking are excellent in both areas. I should also note, though I did not purchase from them, that Opticron are also an excellent ethical brand in this regard.

Both Nicola and Edward were very helpful and friendly when I broke my Kowa spotting scope. They had to order parts in and then executed a thorough repair and fully serviced the scope. The telescope is now as good as new. I can heartily recommend Viking Optical.

Absolutely above and beyond
Absolutely above and beyond. I was trying to change the shim on a hide clamp. No possibility of a sale. I spoke to someone in accounts, who took my number to arrange a call back. The technician did so within the hour. We couldn't quite sort it over the phone. I sent him pictures, and he responded with a video as to how to solve my problem. I've indeed solved it, inspired by his help. I am just delighted with the quality of service, and the interest taken in my issue, completely independently of any possible sale. Absolutely terrific!
