SCAM & FRAUDULENT!!
Vakatrip.com is not a travel agency — it's an outright scam factory operating under the laughable pretense of legitimacy.
Booked a flight (Air India) through them on 30-Mar-25. They took my money instantly, but forgot the part where they actually send me the PNR. Tried calling the airline for PNR confirmation and they denied having my name on any of their scheduled flights for that day.
I had to book another ticket in the meanwhile and later on I received from Vakatrip, the PNR after 3 hours. I cancelled the ticket through the airline and they said cancellation charges would be INR 8,000 + GST. No problem here too as I was ready for that.
Then comes in the bureaucratic display of bot replies from their team inspite of the airline confirming countless times that they have given the instructions to them for refund. I copy everything (invoice, airline confirmation, mail correspondence) and yet their team will try to play fool so that you drop the case and go home. I’ve spent over a month fighting for a refund they owe me — a refund they acknowledge but refuse to process.
Their "customer support" is a bigger joke than their business model:
They have no working contact number.
Their email responses are robotic, delayed, and written as if by a trained parrot. (You are gonna have a fun time reading their responses).
They demand nonsense like "English-translated call recordings" just to delay the process further.
They randomly close tickets hoping you’ll shut up and go away.
Finally I receive a refund from them on 30-Apr-25, which guess what, is INR 2,558.21!! I paid INR 21,525 for the ticket and despite my countless mails back and forth, I receive not even 15% of my refund money!
Their entire business model is built on selling non-existent tickets, blocking your money, and betting you won't have the energy to chase them endlessly across broken systems.
Their business name on the invoice is LETSFLY LIMITED, which I guess is true to the name as it does fly with the customer's money afterall!

Regarding the refund of your order, we need to make the following clarifications
1. After you inquired about the voluntary refund on April 1, 2025, when we managed the reservation through the official website, the order status showed that it had been cancelled. After verification, it was you who contacted the airline to cancel the flight.
2. Because your order was booked through the agency system, but you canceled the flight yourself through the airline, the ticketing agency needs the cancellation voucher to apply again. The order was canceled by you contacting the airline yourself, but you never provided any voucher.
3. Based on the situation you raised, you talked to the airline executive (Mr. Vignesh), who told you that the refund request was made by the agent and the cancellation fee was 8,000 Indian rupees + 5% GST, but the actual amount refunded by the airline was only 3499.03 INR. After deducting the refund fee, we processed 2527.57 INR (about 30 USD) according to the amount received.
4. The refund is our responsibility, and we also refunded the amount refunded by Air India. The airline did not refund the amount you said. How can we cheat you? We hope you can clarify the matter according to the facts.

Confirmed Refund but Tickets Issued Instead - Seeking Resolution for Order Number 3483311912774

I initially had a good experience with Vakatrip’s customer service — they were responsive and assured me that my refund for Order Number 3483311912774 had been processed. Around 10:00 PM, I was affirmed and confirmed twice by their customer service team that Vakatrip had received the refund from the airline and that the refund would be issued to my original payment method.
However, at 11:30 PM, I unexpectedly received flight tickets along with a PNR number, despite being told the ticket had been canceled and refunded. Following this, I attempted to contact Vakatrip for clarification, but there has been no response at all since the tickets were issued.
This experience has been highly disappointing and unprofessional. I am now requesting immediate cancellation of the reissued ticket and a full refund as previously confirmed. If there is no action or response within 48 hours, I will be escalating the matter through my payment provider and lodging formal complaints with consumer protection authorities.
I hope Vakatrip will take immediate corrective action.

I booked a flight from Bengaluru to Goa…
I booked a flight from Bengaluru to Goa on 24th April 2025 and the departure date was 27th April 2025. However, at the time of booking it was clearly mentioned that if we pay additional Rs. 172 complete amount will be refunded and i paid accordingly. Therefore, when i was trying to reach Vaka trip customer care there was no repsonse and finally i reached airline services they have informed me that its a 3rd party booking and they cannot do anything in cancellation and refund process. The flight in question was preponed
The flight in question was preponed, and I was informed by Vaka Trip only 1.5 hours prior to departure. Given that this was an international flight, it was extremely challenging to reach the airport in time, and ultimately, I was unable to board the flight.
Upon inquiry at the airport, the airline confirmed that they had informed Vaka Trip about the schedule change 24 hours in advance. This clearly indicates that Vaka Trip failed to relay this critical information to me in a timely manner. The delay in communication was entirely on your part, and not the airline’s responsibility, as your team has repeatedly suggested.
Despite multiple follow-ups, all I have received are generic responses claiming that a refund will be issued “once the airline processes it.” This is unacceptable, considering the fault lies with Vaka Trip’s failure to notify me in time — not with the airline.
I am appalled by the unprofessionalism and lack of accountability shown throughout this experience. The delay and inconvenience caused have not only resulted in a significant financial loss but also emotional distress.
I demand that my full refund be processed immediately. If I do not receive a satisfactory response and resolution within the next 7 business days, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further through consumer protection authorities, social media platforms, and legal avenues if necessary.
