I’m Chinese living in the states and I love tea. I’ve been looking at this website for a long while before actually placing an order for a lot of stuff, including a tea tray with induction cooker, a set of tea cups, gaiwan, etc. since they have discounts available for multiple items. Shipping is fast for most of the items. Tea tray took a bit long but it’s totally worth the wait. We already set everything up and had our first tea session. There was one broken piece, the body part of the gaiwan, and they immediately shipped a new replacement. Customer service is fantastic! I took a bunch of photos to show how good my tea table looks now!

The product arrived in beautiful packaging. Gifting would have been so easy. Nonetheless I kept my tea canister and lotus incense holder. Nothing was damaged when it arrived. I gave it four stars only because my tea canister was supposed to have a koi fish painted on it. It does not have one. That was a bit disappointing.

Top of the line customer service! I ordered this lovely tea set as a Christmas gift for my brother, but was too behind on my ordering to get it in time, so ended up giving it to him as a birthday gift. When we finally opened the package several months later, the infuser was broken. I reached out to see what could be done and they immediately got back to me and shipped me another infuser, saving the day! My brother is on the road for work for 6 months out of the year, so he's so thrilled to have a travel set that is so portable. He's been using it every day, even at home. Wonderful!

I have purchased three pottery items from this company, and they were beautiful. They were carefully packaged and arrived in excellent condition. I had one order of tea that got “lost” in U.S. customs, never to be seen again, and they refunded the entire amount with no trouble at all. Most recently, I bought their Walnut Wood Cha He with a matching Tea Needle to assist with weighing and presenting loose tea leaves. Once again, I am completely blown away by the craftsmanship that goes into Umi Tea Sets products. The woodwork on the tea needle features beautiful, detailed flowers that stick out remarkably well given the limited space. As for the Cha He scoop, it is exceptionally beautiful and elegant, allowing the leaves to slide smoothly into my gaiwan with ease. I’ve ordered several tea items from Umi Tea Sets over time, and two pieces that especially impressed me were the Yixing Plum Blossom Black Clay Xi Shi Teapot and the Coarse Pottery Lotus Gaiwan Teapot.

The Xi Shi teapot arrived in a beautiful gift box that immediately gave the impression of a premium product. The packaging was secure, elegant, and made the unboxing experience feel special. The teapot itself was exactly as described, with excellent craftsmanship, a comfortable grip, and a smooth pour. The black clay finish and plum blossom design look even better in person than in the photos.

I have had the best customer service experiences with Umi Tea Sets that I have had in a long time. They are attentive, responsive, kind, and do exactly what they say they will. Also, the gaiwans, teapots, and other items I've gotten from them have been beautiful and exactly as described. Great quality.

In one of my orders they accidentally sent the wrong gaiwan. Not only did they get the right gaiwan to me, but when it arrived with a cracked lid they very quickly sent me out a replacement lid. I could not be happier with thier help and customer service. I have ordered 3-4 times from them and I am eyeing a couple of additional things for the future too! 10/10 experience.

Excellent Matcha Tea Set

I've been extremely happy with this matcha tea set. The quality is excellent, and it's clear that a lot of care has gone into its design and manufacture. The blue kiln finish is beautiful and gives the set a unique, authentic look.
