A warning to all owners using this…
A warning to all owners using this platform to rent out their homes. They’ve been taken over by Sykes. They now charge more fees but they are in complete control of your bookings including offering dates you can’t fulfil. If you try to cancel a booking, you get charged a large fee. You need to give them a min amount of dates and notice to use your own home. It’s really worrying that this was all in the small print without making it clear to owners that these changes would mean losing control of your home.
Edit to add - read the small print, it’s all there. Also I’ve looked on their website and they’re offering dates when the sites are closed! Ukc4h response is just as misleading as when they emailed to say they’re merging. It makes me even more angry that they’re misleading owners. They’re also trying to dispute bad reviews rather than accept they’re letting down their owners

Hi Steph - this isn't the case. There are currently no more fees than there were previously, and owners are in complete control of their own calendars and availability. You are not charged a large fee for cancelling a booking, only if you have broken the terms of your agreement with the guest, such as cancelling the day before they are due to check in with no valid reason. You don't have to give any notice of your using your own caravan and all we ask is that you load a minimum of 5 weeks of availability to sell through our site. There has been a lot of misinformation shared, particularly on Social sites, but we'd recommend that you speak with our team for a proper understanding.

We've used ukcaravans4hire 4 years in a row for our family holidays and I'd highly recommend it. The site has improved over the years, the search is simple, the booking is simple and aside from a bad experience with one, we've dealt with lovely owners and their great caravans. I'm evangelical with friends about using the site to save a large amount of money!

Misleading
The new UKCaravans4Hire website lists around 3700 caravans but none of them of them has any reviews, and each listing is marked as new. This is highly misleading to guests and I doubt owners will be best pleased. The lack of reviews is also likely to suppress new bookings.

Hi Steve - when we moved all of the caravans over onto the new platform, it has indeed flagged them all as new, but our tech team are working on this and a fix is just around the corner. Same for the reviews - we'll have them brought over very soon - thank you for the feedback ❤️👍

Trouble free booking service. Good information provided by the owners. A very clean and well equipped caravan.
Me and my Son's dog felt comfortably, at home straight away.

Ruby’s Retreat, Naze Caravan Park
Our stay at Ruby’s Retreat at the Naze Marine Holiday Park was perfect in every way, a real pleasure to stay in it. Nicky and Paul were very helpful with us moving in with our little dog and everything we could possibly need was there. Looking forward to seeing them again next year

Good communication
Have used this site a few times now at different holiday destinations. Always worked out well with exchanges of money and talks between caravan owners and would definitely use in future holiday booking.

Stunning Sunflower Lodge
Arrived at sunflower Lodge with our 3 grandchildren, as soon as we entered we knew we had picked the right caravan, it was absolutely beautiful, with a seafront view,the children loved their bedrooms and the double room has a beautiful ensuite,I would highly recommend this to anyone, and we will be returning 😀 ❤️
