Excellent service and gentle guidance
Almost on a whim we saw a plate we really wanted, and had no idea how to achieve that. Saw TopReg and they reserved it, showed us the costs and then guided us through the process which was very quick, with new plates sent through the post .

We purchased a second hand car and wanted a personalised number plate. Whilst looking we found top reg. Picked out plates and let top reg change the DVLA as well. They take your money then 9 days later no. plate not for sale
After paying in full for a number plate, 9 days later I receive an email saying the number plate is not available.
They tell me I should have read some small print hidden somewhere on their website. Then they offer me a list of other plates I have no interest in. Terrible way to treat customers.

We would, however, like to clarify the circumstances surrounding your order.
When a purchase is made through our website, customers are required to read and accept our Terms & Conditions before completing their order. During checkout, you must tick a confirmation box confirming that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions. It is not possible to complete a purchase without providing this confirmation.
Our Terms & Conditions clearly explain that registrations are subject to availability, particularly where they are owned by private sellers.
As stated in our Terms & Conditions:
"All aspects of the online order process, including but not limited to the 'Buy Now' or checkout function on the website and the email confirming we have received your order, should be treated as an 'invitation to tender'."
They also state:
"3.2 If we cannot accept your order. If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this in writing. If we have already charged you for a product that we cannot source, we will process a refund within a reasonable timeframe. This might be because the product is out of stock..."
Unfortunately, after contacting the private seller, we were informed that the registration was no longer available. As soon as we received this information, we contacted you to let you know.
In an effort to resolve the situation, we sourced several very similar alternative registrations at the same price and, as a gesture of goodwill, offered our Fast Track Transfer Management Service free of charge (normally £60). This service means we manage the entire DVLA registration transfer process on the customer's behalf, from receiving the paperwork through to completing the assignment. You chose not to proceed with one of the alternatives, which we completely respect, and we therefore processed your full refund immediately.
We'd also like to clarify that there is no hidden small print. Our Terms & Conditions are clearly available during checkout and must be accepted before an order can be placed, as customers are required to tick a box confirming they have read and understood them before proceeding through the checkout process.
We're sorry we couldn't supply the registration you wanted and wish you all the best in finding a suitable alternative.

Ordered a plate for £900 paid £40 on a separate site had the acrylic plates made for them to message days later telling me they’ve cancelled my order because they don’t have the plate they were advertising

Unfortunately, after your order was placed, we were informed that the registration was no longer available. As soon as we received this information, we contacted you immediately to advise of the situation.
We also offered alternative registrations, including options that were very similar to your chosen registration with only a minor digit variation, along with discounted pricing. These alternatives were declined, and we therefore proceeded with a full refund.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. While we make every effort to keep our listings up to date, some registrations are owned by third-party sellers and we rely on them to notify us if a registration has been sold elsewhere or is no longer available.
