I had a great experience on Thursday in Timpsons set in Sainsburys store at Colton Village Leeds. Matt was the lovely gentleman that helped me. I have a favourite bag that I have been trying to get mended for quite sometime. I have been quoted between £100 & £170 from specialist bag repairers. I was recommended last week to give Timpsons a try. Matt repaired it for me for £5. I am a very happy customer. Great customer care. Thank you
Appalling service
Appalling service. Damage customer items, then try to weasel out of taking ownership of the problem. Constantly claim someone will contact you and then doesn’t.
Clearly out of their depth but avoid at all costs until they sort out their staffing problems.
The convenience will soon be over shadowed by the service.
rip off merchants
asked for a price for a simple yale key to be cut was quoted £9.00 which i think is extortionate so didn't bother. went to my local hardware store it was £5.00 for 1 key or £9.00 for 2,how can timpsons justify these prices? Needless to say I'll be avoiding them in the future.
Poor Customer Service
On Monday 30-12-24 went into my local Timsons inside Tesco stores - Streatham high road to replace battery for my car keys under guarantee.
I was served at around 1120 am )didn't get the name ) by a staff member with no reply to my greetings , attempted changing the battery on my car keys with no joy . He informed me after 3 unsuccessful attempts that I need to take my car keys to Car Dealership for them to sort it out . I managed to get them working after popping into a local hardware store bought the respective batteries and problem sorted.
I feel that the 3 attempts made by your staff member could be either using the dead batteries or it may be saving money for the company.
Not impressed - Please cover this on your staff training.

Went in to get new replacement soles for a pair of leather boots at a Timpsons concession in Morrisons Dumbarton The employee took two seconds to look at the soles and then quoted £50 for them. Felt like asking him if he was having a laugh!! Honestly where do they get those prices from? Needless to say I declined. He did wish me a good day so brownie points for manners but come on….. get real!! How on earth can a couple of soles cost £50??

I know, I know! I should have known better. I took a pair of LK Bennet shoes into Timpson situated next to Sainsbury’s The Willows Torquay. I asked for the shoes to be resoled (the soles are leather). When I went to collect them they’d placed a black plastic coving over the original leather sole. Not what I’d asked for. The man who served me was indignant to say the least when I said it was not what I’d asked for. Went in a week later and the man who’d originally served me stated it was what I’d asked for. I most certainly didn’t. When checking the shoes the new leather sole was badly applied, and just glued over the existing sole (not what I’d asked for) . The male was rude and obnoxious. I pointed out that they’d got paint on the sole and had also the thing they’d stuck onto the shoes was rough and obviously not finished properly. As we left, he stood there glaring at us, trying to intimidate us. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I’m too scared to go back and get my shoes because of their aggressive attitude.

12 week delay for watch repair quote
After a 12 week wait for a quote to repair my watch-strap and a visit by my wife to enquire after progress, I had received no quote. When I telephoned I was told the repair to the strap would cost just under £4,000, Yes, four thousand pounds!!! I was told the watch would be returned to the shop and I would be informed. After a further two weeks I have still not heard. What kind of service is this?

utterly disgusted with the service I received at Timpson's recently. I took my watch in on 30/10/2024 for a simple buckle replacement, a task I assumed would be straightforward and swift.
From the outset, I was given inaccurate estimates of when my watch would be ready. Despite repeated assurances and promises, the repair was constantly delayed. Each time I followed up, I was met with the same excuse: "We're still waiting for the order." It felt like I was constantly chasing them, rather than them proactively keeping me informed.
To make matters worse, an employee named Chris displayed a shocking lack of professionalism. He repeatedly fobbed me off, promising to call me back with updates but never did. This blatant disregard for customer service is unacceptable.
Overall, my experience with this Timpson branch was nothing short of a nightmare. The combination of false promises, constant delays, and unprofessional behavior has left me incredibly frustrated. I strongly advise anyone considering using their services to think twice and avoid this branch altogether.

I took my stopped watch into the Haywards Heath store and asked for a new battery to be put in it. The watch had a lot of condensation on the face, too.
The man wasn't entirely convinced the battery was the problem but said he'd take a look.
He got the back off and told me the condensation had caused rusting and that he really didn't think a new battery would fix the bigger issue.
As the watch had previously drained itself a couple of times and started going again, I said I'd "give it a go" and asked him to put a new battery in anyway.
The man did - but then said he wasn't going to charge me as he really didn't think he'd fixed anything!
I was conscious it was me who'd insisted on a new battery when the man clearly didn't think this was the answer so, really, I ought to pay something.
The man stood firm. He didn't think he'd fixed it so, no charge. His kindness and generosity made my day.
We're lucky to have three Timpsons not too far from where I live and I've used them all. I have never found an employee who wasn't knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. My experiences witn Timpsons have always been 5 star.

Went to my local Timpsons for replacement batteries for my car key fobs. Including fitting the two batteries cost £22.42. Staggering.
Where does Timpsons get their pricing from?
Will shop around next time and use an independent.

Wanted a new battery in my wife's watch. It was only a costume jewellery item, not expensive. Timpsons quoted me £25. I don't think the watch cost that in the first place. Went home and took the back off the watch myself and replaced the battery. Took about 5 mintues. How can they justify £25 for something that simple?
Robbery! Oh and I got the battery in a job lot from the pound shop.

The member off staff that was there on Saturday 10/08/24 was extremely rude, could barely look up from eating her yogurt to serve me. When she did eventually speak she was rude with a bad attitude.

If I could review ZERO stars I would! Tool a pair of heels in to be re- healed, they said 1 week, upon collection. Not even done, they said they would "semi fix them " for the next day...collected them, total bodge job!!! Then away 3 weeks on holiday, came back to the store to ask them to fix them, they said they technically did fix them" and it would be a whole new charge to fix them properly.. what a disgrace. The man could not care less! Not the 1st time they messed up something of mine either, after this 2nd trip I Will not be back!!!!

I would like to complain about a male staff member maning the Timpsons that is located outside the main Tesco store fleetsbridge, I went into the store and it apreared that no one was manning the counter. Upon peering over the desk there was a man sat on his phone behind a big machine. He didnt make any effort to stand up at this point. I had to peer over and explain what I needed which was a bladed vehicle key cloned where he shut me down with a long speech about company policy and didnt even look at the key in question. Before travelling to your store I checked to see if you can cut car keys which it says you can, you even have a pic on your website of the very key I needed cloning. I found his customer service to be unaccaptable and rude, he couldnt even be bothered to stand up. The time I visited your store was (12.30 7th July) I suggest you have a word with your member of staff for the good of your stores reputation. Hes awful and rude and clearly does not want to be working.
Timpsons bad watch repair
Timpsons adjusted the bracelet on my Seiko watch, an hour later the watch fell off my wrist as the bracelet had been adjusted incorrectly and the pins fell out. As the pin collars were removed and not returned to me I have had to return this brand new watch to Seiko for repair. I contacted Timpsons customer service but had no response. Will likely need to pursue this in the small claims court.

Had problems with nissan Duke key. Tried nissans(Acaster) Eltham se9 branch and told me 200 pds minimum and 10 day wait. Went to Timsons at Crayford shopping centre and the man sorted problem in 5 mins! Absolutely top notch service!!
