Exceptional, Timely Customer Care.

Very prompt response (less than 24 hrs) to analyze the product failure (Smart Base) and determine a course of action. Clear, reasonable, explanations were given with each point of contact. Warranty claim was approved and new product in my hands within less than 1 week. While it was obviously disappointing that the Smart Base failed, I doubt that any other company could, or would, react as quickly and efficiently as the MeatStick staff did in resolving my issue. They even replaced the MeatStick V probe I was using at the time of failure although it appeared to still be functioning normally. The staff, especially Jasmine, exhibited a commitment to customer care that is rare to find nowadays.

Replacement for Meatstick X which had…

Replacement for Meatstick X which had multiple connection issues and the original probe was replace only for the replacement to fail.
Customer service was very helpful, offered 50% off replacement. Chose Meatstick V. So far so good.

Very efficient

I'm sorry I took so long to answer your request regarding my satisfaction with my Meatstick. As I suspected the problem was with the probe. I finally was able to try it out today on a pork loin and it worked perfectly. The information popped up on my phone instantly and I was off and running Thank you for your assistance.

Never overcook!

I never have to worry about over or under cooking the meat, it always comes out perfect. My first probe was the original meatstick which worked great and still works, but after purchasing the meatstick chef I now have a new favorite probe it's smaller, thinner and very accurate. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for that perfect cook.

I loved how it worked the first time I…

I loved how it worked the first time I used it… But it’s not working anymore. I plugged the base in and no lights come on and the signal drops during cooks and is very very difficult to set up for a new cook. I think something is off

Thanks for the feedback. What you’re describing isn’t normal. If the Smart Base isn’t turning on or unresponsive, go ahead and do a power reset. There’s a tiny reset button in the pinhole on the side of the Base. Press it with a SIM-eject tool or something similar. The Base should power on normally after that.

Reliable probe from a company with excellent customer service!!!

Not only is this the best wireless meat probe I’ve ever used, but MeatStick is one of the best companies I’ve ever dealt with when it comes to customer service! The probe performs flawlessly and provides you with all the information you need to monitor your cook. The probe is very easy to setup, just charge it up, download the app and you are ready to cook. The app keeps you well informed with the ambient temp of your cooker, the internal temperature of your meat as well as the duration of the entire cook. The charger also serves as the extender which communicates with your phone. The probe and charger are well made and easy to operate. I would recommend this probe to everyone who enjoys cooking, grilling, or smoking to keep track of temps!

Awsome Dude!

I've been using Meatsticks since the orriginal MS1. During that time there have been many technical issues. Some in design, some in communicating with the user. It looks like these were growing pains. Tech support has been great and every stick that didn't meet expecations was replaced. The meatstick 5 seems to be the result of all those growing pains. I've been using mine since it's been released and it's been rock solid. No massive issues, complicated activation and update procedures have been simplified. I only have 2 'quibbles' the first being able only upload 1 picture thru the app, I use videos to demonstrate issues and streamline the back & forth with tech support. To do this I have to place the files on my cloud drive and send them a link. Being able to upload the file thru the app would save a lot of time. The second is even though the stick is thinner and doesn't have to be fully inserted anymore it's just a little to long for things like chicken thighs if it's part of a crowded skllet. If a shorter version like the MS Chef could be designed incorporating the MS5 reliability I'd buy one.

Sorry your experience hasn’t been great. We do stand behind our products, but in this case the cook data from your MeatStick 4 shows it went past the designed temp limit listed in our product specs. Just like if you drop a phone and crack the screen, damage from overheating isn’t covered under warranty. That’s why we couldn’t replace it for free. We still offered you a discounted replacement so you can get back to cooking.

For your other Stick, we need the order info to confirm it was purchased new and still under warranty. Sometimes used or out-of-warranty Sticks are resold, and we have to verify eligibility before sending a replacement. Once we confirm that, we can arrange it.
