I’ve used MeatStick for years

I purchased the MeatStick V. It works great. Easy to setup and has multiple sensors which help with getting the proper cook. The app works great as well.

I was offered a 'discounted' price for a replacement Chef (stick only). However, it was the same price as Amazon, and basically the same price when I purchased the original stick. Additionally, I was offered a discount V and I was interested. After purchasing the Chef, I decided I wanted to buy a V, but was told that I could only use the discount on 1 stick. I purchased the Chef a day or 2 earlier and explained that it wasn't clear the discount didn't apply to the entire purchase. In comparision, Thermoworks is offering my a discount on a fan controller, their new RFX, a WiFi gateway, a free case, adapter kits, etc and will hold the price for 90 days. I forgot to mention that I requested a green stick, was told it was out of stock, then I requested a yellow or blue, but would accept another color, and was sent a grey stick, not yellow or blue.

Fra begejstring til skuffelse – desværre

Jeg fik Meat Stick i gave og syntes i starten, det var et virkelig smart produkt. Det var fedt at slippe for ledninger og samtidig kunne måle temperaturen flere steder i kødet samt i grillkammeret. Jeg var meget begejstret.

Desværre blev glæden kortvarig. Allerede efter få grillninger fik jeg en advarsel om, at føleren var blevet for varm. Det var et lille stykke kød, og det var svært at placere hele termometeret korrekt i midten. Den grillning måtte derfor klares uden.

Jeg gav det en chance til, men kun et par grillninger senere kom der en ny advarsel – denne gang fordi yderdelen blev for varm. Og jeg vil selvfølgelig ikke undlade at brune min steg.

Nu står jeg tilbage med et defekt termometer, som desværre ikke har levet op til forventningerne. Jeg kommer ikke til at købe et nyt, og jeg ville nok ønske, at gavegiveren havde valgt noget andet – det er aldrig sjovt at give en gave, der ender med at skuffe.

2 stjerner, er nok en for meget. men den ene er for ideen til produktet

I have the Chef X and the V! I totally love the V with all the new upgrades. Definitely worth the money.

Kunne man give minus stjerner, så havde jeg gjort det. Dette her produkt er stort set det samme som at stjæle fra folk. Det er det ringeste og dårligste på markede. Har haft byttet det ved jule tid da proben ikke kunne oprette forbindelsen. Jeg fik en ny, er brugt 1 gang efterfølgende, nu er problemet der igen. Kan absolut ikke anbefale dette her, giv de 900 kr til en hjemløs i stedet hvis du overvejer at investere i dette her. Det er nul værd. Den skal sendes ind igen, så mangler jeg bare en gang mere og jeg kan få pengende tilbage.

the help was kindly clear and honest. after several questions sent said said have just got new delivered. due to a mistake in the stick. happy to do business with such a company. no nonsense. top company.

My problem was taken care of quickly and very politely. Their warranty is good.

DO NOT BUY – Terrible Product and Customer Service

I strongly advise against purchasing The Meat Stick. There are so many better options out there. From the start, I had nothing but problems with this product. I’ve exchanged probably 30 emails with tech support, going through endless troubleshooting steps—"Try this, try that,"—only for them to keep requesting more pictures and more explanations. I spent countless hours just trying to get a simple exchange after spending nearly $200.

I may not be the most tech-savvy person, but I used to build computers. I also have a master’s degree in education, so I’m more than capable of following instructions. Yet, they repeatedly made it seem like I was doing something wrong rather than acknowledging that the product itself was faulty. The thermometer constantly disconnected and had ongoing issues, and their only response was to demand more pictures and more proof.

Frustrated, I ended up purchasing another thermometer from a different company—one that actually works. To make matters worse, when I left a previous review, they falsely claimed they had been in touch with me to resolve the issue. The reality? I had reached out countless times, and their “solution” was just more picture requests and more hoops to jump through.

Save yourself the time, money, and frustration—buy a different brand. I purchased a Typhur and I LOVE it!

My experience with meatstick has been great! When my probe gave me an issue I reached out and we did some troubleshooting. When that didn’t work, they sent me a new probe. No questions asked and they even followed up to make sure the new one was working! I would recommend meatstick to any family member or friend etc. They stand behind their stuff, great quality thermometer!! 5⭐️
