The support and understanding from the sales staff was amazing. We ordered 2 dresses and were concerned about delivery since these were for a cruise. The dresses arrived in plenty of time however one was ordered in the wrong size because we didn't notice it had defaulted back to a smaller size. They helped with setting up the return and shipping the proper size. Both dresses were AMAZING

The dress that arrived was too small. I didn't see all the reviews before I ordered. I returned and had to pay return shipping 23.00 and because I decided on a different brand of dress due to sizing was charged a 15% restocking fee to even get the other dress. They issued a store credit and because the new dress was less than the credit just had to leave the unused credit because what could I buy for 11.00 after they took out the restocking fee. Then shipping again was 8.95 and could not use the store credit to cover that so all around lost money. My advice go to a reputable site that does shipping and you can return to their store or if you return and decide on something else they don't charge some bogus restocking fee they are making a killing in the money they take from people! I will know next time to do my due dillegence.

I was so nervous to order a formal dress online,and on shorter notice than my usual planning, but Dress Outlet was super fast with shipping. I messed up and clicked on pick up,but have no fail the chat was available and a lovely agent helped correct my mistake and assured me dress would ship out the next day. Sure enough it was on it's way with tracking. The dress arrived today and it's stunning!! The quality of the dress was fabulous,the lace and shimmer it's perfect for Winter Formal.
It even had built in cups,so no need for a bra.
Sizing is accurate,my daughter is a zero and it was on the nose
She's 5'3 and weighs 94lbs. We ordered a 0.
I cannot thank Dress Outlet enough for a positive first experience. We will definitely be back for future formal dress needs.

Simple checkout, my dresses were delivered promptly! My dresses were too big so I had to send them back. The exchange process was simple and surprisingly fast!
The packaging was big enough for the dresses not to get bunched up or wrinkled! I am definitely shopping the dress outlet again!

Ordering and checkout were fast and very simple once I decided to order. I made a mistake and ordered the wrong dress when I needed it in a new size, and the exchange was virtually seamless, with very little to pay as far as the restocking fee and difference in price.

The dress is super ugly, I can't send it back because you only have 5 days to return it. very bad!

The Dress Outlet review from time to time the price on the beautiful dresses they have . The pictures are not deceiving. Respond to my inquiry. May have not been to my likeness but at least find an easy way to do it.

I bought a $300 dress for a wedding event and due to unforeseen events the wedding is no longer happening. The dress is never worn, in original packaging and tags- yet it’s a COUPLE of days past the “5 day return policy” and I think it’s utterly ridiculous to deny a return for such a short amount of return time. I didn’t know the event would be canceled and now I’m out $300 because dress outlet is a scam of a site. Buy your dress somewhere else. It’s not worth it with this site.

Beautiful dress for a very affordable price. Received in great condition. . Was on a hanger in plastic. Not creased. Received a few days after I ordered it.

I had an incredible first and second experience with TDO, which included an exchange with the help of Frank (who is AMAZING)!

After having twins and a third child, my upper body is a lot broader than my lower half. I have trouble sometimes finding dresses that fit my ribcage. The first dress I ordered from here was 4" short of zipping up but everything else fit fine. I reached out to customer service and Frank allowed me to exchange for a different style that had a stretchy fabric (item DD1288). I sent back the original dress the next day and received the second dress a few days later. It was gorgeous!!! The fabric was great quality and allowed me to zipper it up. I had to have a slight alteration but that's to be expected as not every dress will fit every individual body the same.

I then went back to TDO for another dress (style CD943) - all I can say is WOW! This dress is elegant and beautiful, and also has the same quality of stretch that I was hoping for. Frank was awesome at helping me choose which dress would accommodate my needs. The off-shoulder ties make this dress stand out and I couldn't be happier.

I see there's a few reviews that unfairly point out the return/exchange policy, but I've been in plenty of bridal parties to know that The Dress Outlet is not a Macy's or Nordstrom's department store. It's the same experience as a bridal store... You will almost always need alterations for high quality dresses, and most of the time, bridal stores don't even allow a return, but they will offer an exchange with a restocking fee.

I was lucky that both purchases worked out with some minor alterations. If you need help deciding if a dress will work, ask them... The stretchy fabric was what I needed and Frank went above and beyond to help me find options that would work for my needs.

My problem is their 5 days from receipt return policy. I ordered a pantsuit just before for my son’s wedding. It arrived in time and was as expected but I was out of town until 2 days before said wedding. I ended up wearing a dress and it took me a week after house guests left and I recovered from being sick to request the return (16 days after the box was left on my doorstep). I was DENIED. TWICE. I was prepared to hold my nose about the 20% restocking fee, but 5 days from receipt to initiate a return? Even if I had tried to return when I got to try it on, it would have been too late. Ridiculous. The same pantsuit in a different size I ordered from Macy’s was returned with no problems. They know how to treat customers.

I found a mother of the bride pantsuit for our daughters outdoor wedding in a bridal shop that I fell in love with. I noted all the information and ended up finding it at the Dress Outlet. I ordered 2 sizes smaller as the wedding is a year away and I wanted to challenge myself. I received the pantsuit, 2 sizes smaller than I tried on less than a month ago and it’s too big. Something is not right, I am guessing these are knock offs of the real designer. I attempted to return it and I was told it was a final sale. Shame on me, now I have spent $150.00 for nothing! Shame on TDO’s customer service.

The dress I ordered did not fit well because the shoulder of the dress was big but the body fits well. I asked Maica in customer service to allow me to exchange it for another dress with a higher neckline which would eliminate the problem. She absolutely refused because it was a sale item. Where is the humanity. I am out $90 and the owner of a dress I cannot wear and still have to find another dress to wear to my mother’s 90th birthday party. Add me and my 5 sisters to the list of people who will never buy from you again. And that is in addition to the others who wrote reviews. I should have done my homework. You keep this up and you will eventually have to close this store. Whoever heard of a dress store charging restocking fee. Nonsense.

I had a great experience with The Dress Outlet. Was looking for a dress as I was headed to a wedding and needed something fast. I found their site by searching for formal dresses on Google and their website popped up on the first page. Their prices are reasonable and the dress fit me great. I'll refer other family members to visit their site. After looking at other reviews on here I was a bit worried, but their return policy is freely available on their site. These other people clearly don't know how to search or read. I got my dress pretty quickly too considering I'm from Arizona. Would highly recommend to give them a shot.

Terrible customer service!
I ordered dresses for my granddaughters for a black tie wedding. They sent the wrong dress for one girl. I returned it and they sent the same dress back.
Customer service is terrible. They don’t have a number where you can talk to an actual person and I don’t think anyone actually reads the multiple emails I have sent explaining the problem.

DON'T BUY!!! They screwed up my order then only refunded 80% when I NEVER GOT THE DRESS! Seriously???

I ordered 2 dresses and received them on different days. The last one I received was August 5. I wanted my daughter to help me decide which dress I should keep and by the time she could come over it was on 8/17. I contacted them that night (August 17) to return one dress and was told they couldn't as I was past the date. That is ridiculous! 5 days is not enough time if you want someone else's opinion or to even just think about it.

Terrible return/exchange policy that cheats customers out of money. I purchased a wedding dress and I had to email customer service to actually get it shipped 2 weeks after purchase. When I got the dress it just wasn’t correct, so I went to return but did not realize they give you 5 short days to initiate the return and was told there was nothing they could do. After complaining they did in fact make an exception but I had to pay $15 in shipping fees then a 10% store credit fee (because they would not refund) and at least this was not the 20% return fee.

So because I had a store credit I could not get back I tried again. I identified 2 dresses that looked nice and while not the wedding dress I had initially purchased, I figured at least I would get something out of the fiasco and not be out several hundred dollars. The second round of dress arrived very fast and one dress was great but the second one just did not fit.

Having learned my lesson about the 5 day return request, I promptly contacted customer service via their onerous return portal and requested a replacement with the dress I knew I liked - just in a different color. After all of this I was told “all store credit purchases are FINAL”. Not return (20% fee) no exchange (10% fee) no paying out of pocket to ship back the unusable dress. So so so very disappointing and feels boarderline like a bait and switch.

Do not purchase from here unless you absolutely know the dresses will fit and will be exactly what you want. I get that they want to limit returns and exchanges, but a store with an extensive online customer base in this day and age is competing with reputable stores with free shipping and great return/exchange policies - it really seems like this company is happy to screw people over.

Not willing to work with a customer. I ordered a dress that I loved the look of but when it arrived there was a very heavy lining. I tried to go to tailor to see if I could make it work but bit was going to cost too much and I reached out looking for help knowing that there’s a fee and I’d pay my own shipping but hoping to find a solution (return or store credit). The responses were rude and not helpful. Most companies selling bridesmaid style dress are more flexible and willing to work with you. Found a better dress from a better company.

The dress I ordered was $200. When I revived it, about a week later the dress looked like it was made of swimsuit or leotard material. In the picture it looked like a beautiful satin dress. I was so unsatisfied with it that I didn’t even try it on. On top of all of that they are charging a 20% “restocking” fee. This is unacceptable. When shopping for dresses most of the time you need to order more than one to ensure the proper fit. I’m shopping for a wedding dress and have ordered 10-15 dresses from various online shops and not one of them have charged a restocking fee. Most of them just send a shipping label. They say the fee is to ensure their “low prices” which does not make sense. $200 is way too much to pay for a dress made of Lycra.
