Buying a prom dress in Wales

Buying a prom dress in Wales, Uk seems impossible 🤯 I found by “mistake” this website, and we decided on one dress, after weeks of searching. I was quite skeptic to order, distance, sizing, quality, and not to mention time frame. Customer service was so great, always in contact with me, and even then, I still thought that the time frame would not be the one what was offered at checkout, but I can say I was absolutely shocked when we got the delivery today, exactly the date when it was promised. Sizing was perfect, quality, absolutely amazing! Packaging was good as well. Our experience exceeded expectations! Highly recommend The dress Outlet!
All we can say is, thank you! We are so grateful and super happy with the dress!

They misstated the delivery

They misstated the delivery. They don’t answer their phone. The emails don’t go through. They did manage to charge my credit card even without delivering. They kinda stink😠

TERRIBLE RETURN POLICY - THE WORST

Don't do it. I wish I had come here before ordering.

Their return policy is written in a way that makes you think you can return items but you cannot unless they are part of "The Dress Outlet Collection". Calling it the The Dress Outlet Collection made me think if I bought from the The Dress Outlet, I could make a return. Nope. Not the case.

Items also arrived later than quoted.

Just an overall horrible experience and now I'm out over $300.

I ordered a dress for a 35th company party…

I ordered a dress for a 35th company anniversary party and was SO excited to find the perfect dress. Two days later I get an email saying it is out of stock after ordering the matching shoes, purse, jewelry, hair accessories etc.
They offered a store credit, or 15% discount. I am short on time but found another dress I would like to order but want to be sure it IS in stock, so I don't have to go through that again so I try to call and get "we aren't accepting phone calls at this time" WHAT? Who does business like that?

Not a reliable company

Ordered twice through this company .
first time they apologised saying the dress is out of stock .
Since my daughter really liked the dress we ordered it in a size bigger .It was in stock and had confirmation of my order.Some days later received an e mail again saying the dress is out of stock on that size.Went online again and the dress still shows available on the size we ordered.
I have requested a refund .
My daughter now risks not going to prom as we really relied on this dress and this is what she really wanted .

I believe this website is not reliable at all and will never order from them again.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. They sent me a dress that had the elastic in the waist all stretched out. Now that I am returning it I need to pay a restocking fee and pay to ship it back. The dress was cheaply made, I do not want another one nor do I want store credit. Do yourself a favor, order from a reputable company.

I have already reached out to the company several times and sent pictures. The dress has been returned and I am fighting the charge through my bank.

Sold me a dress that was out of stock!

They sold me a dress that was out of stock. They knew it was out of stock. I paid for 3 day shipping. When the dress didn't arrive I emailed and called wondering where the dress was...."it's out of stock." You would think they would have reached out to let me know the dress was out of stock or simply NOT sold the dress but no....Now I have to find a dress for prom! I wanted this dress because they had the right size "in stock."

I ordered a prom dress for my daughter

I ordered a prom dress for my daughter. There was a hole in the back of it that I noticed before she ever put it on. I contacted The Dress Outlet within a few days to request a refund for the dress and have not heard anything. I have reached out through text and email and live chat and no one will get back to me about shipping this back and getting my money back. So, now I don't know what to do about getting a prom dress because right now I am out $250. I would not recommend ordering from The Dress Outlet unless they get back in touch with me and make this right.

Buyer beware

My dress was delivered to the UPS hub in my area damaged (actually they said the contents fell out) so they returned the package to sender (The Dress Outlet). Unfortunately they showed the shipping tracking# as delivered (to UPS hub - not my address). I tried calling and texting all the numbers I found online. The 888 number was not a valid phone number. They list their hours 8-5 PST, called another # at 4pm and the auto answer said they were closed. Tried calling the next day at noon and said they were no longer taking calls but I could email??? What the heck?!? They do accept emails and that was the only way they were communicating with me. I contacted UPS twice and was told both times the sender would be getting the claims paperwork and should be refunding or replacing my order. Since they are the sender they would have access to the tracking# on the return and would not provide that to me. But TDO said they didn't recognize the tracking# of the shipment to me and it showed delivered in there system so the only way I could get a refund or replacement is if UPS provided proof that they sent it back. All this to say, I finally gave up and filed a dispute with the credit card company. Lesson learned! Stick with brick and mortar stores or at least reputable stores online. Do not buy from here!

Beautiful dresses great quality

I have ordered at least 6 dresses from them. I loved every last one of them. I get so many compliments wearing those dresses. I thought the material would feel cheap, but it hasn’t so far. It was exactly the same as the ones I got from the dress stores. I just received my next one for a wedding in July. It’s beautiful! I recommend checking your size and measurements before ordering. Also check their sizing. You can go to dress stores and try on the dresses. The brands for some of those are exactly the same. Doing this will help you to avoid having to return anything.

TheDressOutlet Sells Dresses that are Out of Stock

I ordered a wedding gown listed on their website and paid IN FULL. There were more than one dress size available for the gown I ordered. I received email confirmation of my order.

Two days later, I received an email stating the dress is actually out of stock and the company cannot provide it.

I was given 3 options, buy another dress at a 5% discount, carry a store credit or get a refund.

I requested a refund.

The next day, I received an email stating the team was looking into my order and they would get back to me about when I would receive my wedding gown.

I followed this email up by replying for more clarity... is the dress out of stock? Am I getting a refund? Do I still have an active order? Do they have the gown I ordered?

Their reply, the dress was indeed out of stock BEFORE I ordered and paid for it. They cannot provide the dress nor explain why it was on their website as available.

We are now waiting for the refund to hit our bank account but no action yet.

PAY MORE, BUY ELSEWHERE. Peace of mind is everything for your wedding.

No refund even within allotted time.

I ordered three dresses for my daughter’s prom. I requested the return within the allotted time and they denied a refund. No explanation other than they were not elegible for refunds! I am stuck with store credits for three dresses now. Do not do business with them.

I am furious with their return policy

I am furious with their return policy. There is only one brand of dress that they allow a refund to your credit card. Most every dress on the site you can only return for store credit… And no, they do not make this clear in any way before you order! I am now stuck with $1200 credit at a store that I no longer want to do business with.
UPDATE: after agreeing to buy one dress that was worth half the credit, the company agreed to refund the second half. I appreciate their response to my complaint.

Website allowed me to purchase an item that was not available for sale

I ordered a dress for my daughter's wedding from TheDressOutlet.com. I received both an email order confirmation and an order number, with directions to track my order through Shop. After a couple of days, I went online to Shop to track my order and couldn't find anything, so I contacted TheDressOutlet. The dress listed for sale (Alex Evenings) was SOLD OUT - even though it was listed for sale on the website! Buyer Beware - do not order from them. Now I have to start all over again :/

My dress is truly amazing

My dress is truly amazing, the quality is pristine and i have never found a dress that looks so good and is not that expensive. It is a little big but thats on me. The only problem i had, was the processing and shipping taking longer than expected due to it being an international shippement to europe. I have to say that the customer service was truly excellent, all my worries were resolved with their help.
