Carpetstop – Terrible Experience!
Location: Carpetstop, Osmaston Road, Derby

Carpetstop is the worst place to get any flooring done. They completely ripped us off! Their fitters did a terrible job — they messed up the vinyl in our toilet, broke a tile, and didn’t even fit the vinyl properly. It started coming up the same day they installed it.

When we contacted them with clear proof — photos and videos from the same day — they denied everything. Their customer service is awful, took forever to respond, and even after seeing the evidence, they refused to fix their mistakes. Instead, they asked for more money to repair the mess their own fitters caused.

The whole experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of money. Their fitters are careless, and the company doesn’t take responsibility for their work. Avoid Carpetstop on Osmaston Road, Derby at all costs!

Purchased laminate flooring and had it fitted. Great price, really good customer service, phone when they said, communication great. Tradesman who fitted floor was brilliant, clean, tidy work - great finish. Have been using these guys for years, will continue to do so and would defiantly recommend.

We were able to look around the shop without beng hassled when we asked for info we were given it and advised everything was explained to us very pleasant experience when the carpet was fitted we kept informed and they rang before they came was fitted well would highly recommend

Have used Horninglow shop previously and have found them to be extremely helpful, without any pressure whatsoever to purchase. Carpet we bought recently was exactly what we wanted at a very reasonable price, and was fitted a few days later by a very able and friendly individual. I highly recommend this particular shop.

I’ve just had vynil flooring laid and it looks amazing I’m so happy it has been great from choosing the vynil ,I had a lovely man at the store help me ,to having it fitted today really easy ,I will certainly use them in the future ,it’s such great quality and so reasonable,

A fab carpet shop - the showroom was larger than we expected and had a good choice of carpets, it also had an ample selection of laminate flooring and vinyl too. The lady in the shop was friendly and incredibly helpful, but without being too pushy. She matched the quote we’d had from another shop and also included better underlay. What’s more, they were able to fit it within a week! The fitters were really nice chaps and did a great job in record time, causing no damage to skirting boards and they tidied up after themselves. We definitely won’t hesitate to use Carpet Stop again and highly recommend them.

We returned to The Carpet Stop for our latest project, having used their services several times over the last 6-7 years for carpets, laminates and vinyl. Needless to say, from start to finish everything was just perfect - free measuring service, assistance and advice in-store, great products reasonably priced, delivered on time, fitted really well by polite, clean and courteous professionals. Thanks again. We'll be back to finish that one last room!

On the install day, the fitter rang to let me know an ETA, and when he arrived (on time), he was quick and thorough with the install, leaving behind nice fresh carpets.

Dreadful company to deal with absolutely rude and unreliable left the house a mess didnt even vacuum the new carpet please be careful always after money not recommended alwYs shop and think first with company’s like this draadful

We are so pleased that we purchased our floor covering from here. Chantelle in the shop was really nice and helpful and was able to help us to select the most cost effective sized rolls to work from (because we were doing three separate rooms)
She was also able to arrange a really fast delivery and installation for us.
The fitters were also very good and really made sure that everything was exactly right. They also left everywhere tidy afterwards.
We could not be happier with the finished floors: they have transformed our property! We will definitely be using The Carpet Stop again for all of our floor coverings in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

Efficient service during appointment to measure staircase and sales staff brought samples to confirm carpet colour choice in home environment. I have had all of my upstairs fitted with carpets and flooring from The Carpet Stop and just had my living room fitted by Colin and Jason and they were fantastic. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.
It makes me question how genuine the negative reviews are to be honest.
But then the fact that the positive reviews out way the negative ones, speaks volumes in my eyes.

Always used Carpet Stop forms previous house and the present one .Found them to be courteous,nothing too much trouble until I wanted my bedroom carpet fitting .When I rang i was told that they don't cover Sheffield anymore .Throughout the day I was told Sheffield was covered by Manchester store and told by them that Sheffield was covered by Burton on trent store .All the Web pages mention Sheffield, even a phone number for Sheffield.
To add insult to injury a web chat I used in the afternoon was used in an email from them with the lady from Carpet Stop saying "I doubt you would go out just for one room "
Ironically they were happy to carpet an entire downstairs x2 ,a staircase and a kitchen in the past .loyalty gets you nothing I.guess .
Will take my business elsewhere.
