What an amazing trip! Went with my parents and had an incredible week of swimming. Felt safe and thought our hosting team were exceptional! Highly recommend and thank you Big Blue.

Thank you Big Blue for a fabulous holiday. Beautiful location for a swim holiday in Ithica. 16 of us enjoyed 7 days of coastal swimming in the stunning blue waters. The guides care about your trip experience and work hard to make sure you stay safe and have a good time. Nice hotel with good breakfast. I met lovely people, improved my technique and got fitter. I highly recommend.

A great way to spend a week around Lefkas: fun, instructive, sociable, and serious and challenging swimming. Well done to Jen, Takis.and all🏊‍♂️

This hasn't been my first swimming holiday, but it has been my best one so far! With its clear waters and outstanding scenery, Lefkada is a beautiful place to swim. However, what made this trip amazing, was the people in charge - coaches Jenny, Kate and Nicky and of course lovely captain Takis, who was in charge of beautiful Mowgli, a boat second to none. Everybody was very professional, while being approachable, fun, silly...
The swims were diverse and well thought through, suitable for a range of swimmers. Lunch in tavernas and dinners in local restaurants added to the perfect holiday. As did lots of ouzo with fellow swimmers at the end of an exhilarating day!
Well, I loved it so much that I ended up booking my next Big Blue Swim before even leaving Lefkada... See you in October!

Just back from my 7th Big Blue holiday and it did not disappoint, in fact it was one of the best. Lefkada has so many amazing swims. The guide team of Kate Nicki and Jenny made the holiday. They work so well together. Takis the boat captain is amazing and always felt very safe. It was all fun and the guides go out of their way to help if there is a problem. The hotel run by Georgina is really lovey nice rooms and the ac works really well. Georgina goes out her way to help you out if you need anything or information on your extra days.Breakfast great and all the staff fab. Paris who ran the bar in the evening was also amazing and looked after us so well. Now just to book the next one

The Big Blue Swim in Lefkada was such a wonderful and empowering experience. Our guides Kate, Nicki and Jen were professional, fun and encouraging. Takis our captain made sure that we got the best conditions for our swims.

This is the perfect holiday for those wanting to experience Greece by water. Our swim groups were determined by a speed assessment and we were given helpful advice along the way to improve our technique. The guides and our group members made this a very safe and positive environment. I wouldn’t change a thing.

From the moment you meet, the guides Kate, Nicki and Jenny & see the wonderful boat Mowgli & get welcomed onboard by Captain Takis, you know it’s going to be a great adventure.
I can’t fault this team and company, the care they take looking after and supporting the group, meant you always felt safe and calm.
Great selection of swims and fab restaurants for lunch & dinner, made some lovely friends and we even had Dolphins swimming under the boat
We all stayed at Hotel Illios run by gorgeous Georgina, everyone that served us, did so with a smile, simple but nice breakfast.
It you are thinking of booking with The Big Blue Sea, for Lefkada………, just do it, your gonna have fun, we did!

Excellent swim guides who know the swims well and point out interesting features and wildlife, great B&B, and bespoke trip for a range of swim speeds!

Just come back from a big blue holiday in Lefkada. Already wanting to book one for next year.
The 3 guides Jen,Kate and Nicki were outstanding. I always felt safe and well looked after. I cant stress enough how wonderful this swim holiday was. The swims were brilliant a long the coast lines, some small crossings. Saw Dolpins, a seal, turtle and plenty of fish. Our group were so much fun and we laughed all the time. So much so we all want to book together in 2028. Highly recommend and thank you Big Blue

Best Big Blue trip ever. Lefkada was beautiful, the guides Kate, Nicki and Jenny were so kind, professional, supportive and patient. They all went above and beyond for the guests/swimmers. The swim routes were well planned and various, the 5km was idyllic incorporating 5 islands with beautiful scenery. The restaurants were well chosen for lunch and optional dinner. Mowgli is the loveliest boat ever expertly manned by Captain Takis who found us dolphins and supplied comfy bean bags for rests between swims.
Hotel Illios run by gorgoeous Georgina was clean and had good bar and pool for ourcreturn from the sea aircon in quiet rooms allowed sleep before well catered breakfasts. 100% recommend this trip, but overall the fun team of guides made this A* for me!! I want to go back v soon. Thank you Big Blue xx

What an amazing experience we had. Great location, wonderful swimming coaches, boat skipper and hotel staff. An achievement completed by all our Aussie friends. My hubby enjoyed himself so much as a non swimmer. Awesome lunchtime taverna lunches and evening dinners at nearby restaurants. Highly recommend Big Blue Swim to anyone. Julie n Brian Blacka.

We had an amazing time on the Lefkada trip. The swim routes were well thought out and varied. The guides were very knowledgable and took care of us exceptionally well. Will definitely be back for another holiday with Big Blue.

I had a great week in Lefkada. The crew were professional and took us to fabulous swimming spots in beautiful clear water.
The accommodation and breakfast was good with very friendly staff. Just across the road are three restaurants on the water which is where the boat is moored. I recommend it if you are considering a swim trek holiday

I had a fantastic holiday with The Big Blue at Lefkada, it was my first solo/swimming holiday and i could not fault a single thing. The guides Greg, Nicky,Jenny and Captain Takis made sure that we have the best possible experience and made us feel safe. Those guys are also very funny. As the week went I became more adventurous and relaxed in the water. Accommodation and the staff at the hotel was brilliant and very friendly. I'm looking at my next Big Blue adventure already. Totally recommend to all who love swimming !!

Big Swim Week was fantastic! Beautiful water and swimming amongst and around such beautiful islands. Time spent getting to and from the swims on the beautiful boat is almost as magical as being in The water. We saw dolphins, relaxing in giant bean bags, gliding over the blue waters. The Big Blue team is excellent, reliable safe and good humoured. I also went on the Sfakia trip in 2024 which was equally beautiful, both hotels are delightful. Love the long langorous lunches in waterside tavernas. Thank you!

This was one of the best experiences of my life. For every ocean swimmer put this on your bucket list. We did the Lefkada, Greece swim (25+km, 12 spectacular islands) - still clear blue waters beyond your imagination, a brilliant crew (Greg, Philippa, Jenny and Captain Takis). With their assessment and guidance our swimming improved enormously and we all achieved distances beyond our expectations. We went our each day on a beautiful wooden boat ‘Mowgli’ that really made the experience so special. We had a group of 18 so had booked out the whole trip. Highly recommend!

Excellent week spent in Lefkada. Our professional team looked after our diverse. group superbly. This ensured we all felt so welcome. Attention to detail was evident on every aspect of the management of the week. We swam hard but in groups of similar ability, ate superbly, slept well and were so sorry to leave when the week ended. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who shares a love of swimming in the sea.

Location molto belle , ottima organizzazione e gestione delle nuotate, guide molto professionali e attente alla sicurezza ma anche al nostro divertimento in acqua, molto professionali e amichevoli. Sono state settimane spensierate e felici, grazie mille!

The company were really good in their communications and really professional in their operations while maintaining a relaxed feel between staff and their clients. Great locations to swim and excellent tavernas for lunch. The swim was a great personal challenge and I would like to do another. I’d have no hesitation in booking with the Big Blue Swim again

Had a fantastic experience with Big Blue in Lefkada this year. This was our first swim holiday and my first time swimming open water. The guides were extremely welcoming and supportive throughout, always easing our nerves and providing tips. I felt very safe the entire time and really appreciated the water breaks during the swim, as well as snacks and hot drinks after the swim. I also loved the long lunch stops, allowing us to slowly eat and walk around the different towns.

The hotel was amazing, with friendly staff and great location. As it was not peak season yet, we were booked one bedroom and one bathroom each which was a happy surprise. Nearby the hotel there are many food tavernas, which was all we needed for the trip.

Just a note for non-swimmers. There aren't alternative options on the boat, and there is not much entertainment near the hotel. The views of the ocean are still incredible, and there is a chance of spotting dolphins, which is always exciting.

Big Blue organised an amazing trip, I highly recommend them for swimmers looking for a swim holiday.
