I love John's candles and diffusers - I have a diffuser in my design studio and customers always comment on how lovely it smells. It lasts for ages and is much higher quality than high street mass produced diffusers. I ordered a diffuser and candle in his new Autumn scent and it is lovely. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I have purchased a number of different fragranced Candles & Reed diffusers from The Ampthill Alchemist.
Every single one has smelt absolutely amazing filling the room with their unique, gorgeous aroma. The candles burn for hours and are not at all ‘smoky’ which I’ve found with different brands.
The candles & reed diffusers look stylish & elegant, John also offers a personalised label option if required, which is a lovely personal touch for gifts. I always have excellent communication from him and can’t recommend enough- Thank you John!

The candles from The Ampthill Alchemist are truly divine. I have tried several different scents and they are all uniquely fabulous. I am currently burning Evening Retreat in the garden which keeps the midges away.

I absolutely love these candles and reed diffusers. They smell really natural, not synthetic at all. The scents fill the room and you can choose different categories such as woody, sweet, citrus or floral. My three top faves at the moment are Warm Embrace, Heavenly Aromatic and Floral Absolute. They are all deep, rich and warming, but there’s also fresher scents too. You can buy gift sets for occasions like Mother’s Day etc, but I always end up adding one or two extra ones for me;). They are a staple in my house and I won’t have any other brand these days!

Fantastic products and even better service. I often use the Ampthill Alchemist for gifts. Nothing is too much trouble for John from personalisation to wrapping and posting. Easy to send, reliable and always goes down well! In addition to the Christmas scents, my personal favourite is heavenly aromatic. The big three wick candles are just perfect for filling a room. So happy to have found these products
