I’ve been a member of Stitch Club from its very beginning and have found it to be a wonderful learning opportunity. I look at the workshops and respond at my own pace, when I want and when it’s right for me. I find something useful and enlightening from every workshop - even if I decide not to create work in response. It might be learning a new technique, looking at something well known in a different way, or sparking a range of ideas for future work. I also find a lot of inspiration from looking at other member’s pieces and love reading feedback from the friendly and supportive community.

Stitch Club has been such an important part of my life since the very beginning when it brought light and colour into our lockdown lives. I have enjoyed workshops with amazing international artists whose expertise, encouragement and support enrich the whole experience. Whether I participate in a workshop or not, there is a daily exhibition of amazing textiles to see. I have made firm friends across the world by engaging with other members and have even met some local members to share what we love about stitching. It is an amazing supportive community where we can explore and enjoy our passion for stitch, colour and experimentation, learning and combining techniques and sharing with those who become friends.

Stitch Club has been an important part of transforming my creative practice since May, 2020. I had been seeking a community of stitchers that would allow me to use my decades of sewing, quilting, embroidery, and experiences in art education, and push me out of my comfort zone. I could follow other people’s patterns, but wanted to create my own unique textile art. Stitch Club workshops have provided amazing opportunities to develop a toolkit of new materials, techniques, and tools, taught by some of the world’s most highly regarded textile artists. So much thought goes into the workbooks, inspirational books, and production of each workshop. The feedback, and opportunity to ask questions of the teacher/artist during the two week workshop, is invaluable. Workshops are archived so you always have access to them, and the community of stitchers in SC is unparalleled. Such a welcoming, generous and talented international community. Stitch Club has been the best gift I have given to myself.

Hello out there! I am a member of Stitch Club. I live in Alberta Canada.
I have always been involved in the arts . From Dance to Theatre to becoming an art and theatre teacher. I even owned a stained glass studio for several years!
Having such a cross section of interests textiles often came into my repertoire, from costume design to mixed media pieces. When I stumbled across Stitch Club while surfing things of interest to my practice I took a plunge and decided to sign up for a trial period of time! I was hooked immediately! I loved the constant turn over of refreshing biweekly workshops . To begin with I stuck to the ‘live’ workshops and the two week time frame. I have never really ‘reproduced ‘ the teachers sample pieces but used them as inspiration and done what seemed what was calling me at the time. Gradually I have gone back through the library of passed classes and really enjoyed working at my own rhythm……..
Stitch Club is a non judgemental environment . International. A wealth of fabulous resources. An opportunity to make friends with like minded people from around the world.A support staff with feedback, help, advice, and compassion.
For two years now Stitch Club has not only improved my technical skills, but broadened my creative horizons. My own little studio has blossomed and is a hub of my daily activities. I have become more aware of nature , and found the most amazing ‘found objects’ when out walking because now I’m sensitive to their possibilities as art objects.
Because Stitch Club is available 24/7 I can log in and work when ever I want or need to. Early morning, late at night, Sundays, or National Holidays.
I can only recommend this platform and the community associated with it. It’s an inexpensive investment in oneself- worth every penny.
Of course if you try it and decide it’s not for you , you can cancel anytime.
Try it! It’s a wonderful addition to creative thinking!

I've been part of Stitch Club from the very beginning. The notion of workshops by amazing textile artists available online was, in 2020, innovative. A real creative focus, it helped me to navigate the lockdowns and the stresses of continuing to teach children with all the inherent challenges.
From these beginnings, I have stayed with Stitch Club because what they offer is unique. I havent done all the workshops, I've probably done about 75%. My stitch practice has grown,I've learned loads and developed new skills. I'm very proud of what I have achieved, I have had pieces selected for exhibition and I am now happy to call myself a textile artist.
Living in an out of the way spot makes being part of a supportive on-line community very important and I treasure being part of Stitch Club.

I joined Stitch Club this year (Feb 2023) feeling fairly nervous but I knew I needed somewhere to nourish my creativity now I had retired from full-time paid work. I especially wanted to expand my hand stitching repertoire. I am delighted to discover that Stitch Club is indeed a wonderful place (at a very reasonable price) to explore a great range of textile related creativity, with helpful resources, inspiring tutors and such a great encouraging community. People take time to comment kindly and this makes such a difference. I would highly recommend membership.

I have been in Stitchclub from the very beginning and it has brought such pleasure to me. It has been a rare privilege to be taught by world renowned textile artists, to see into their art practice and to receive feedback from them. The entire stitch club community is so supportive and inspiring, we bounce ideas off each other. Some workshops I return to again and again but often the ones I have initially thought were not going to be my thing actually become firm favourites. Imagine a Pick and Mix of colourful and exciting projects, each one unique, each one taking you in a new direction! That's Stitch Club.

I am so glad I found Stitch Club. I have been doing original fiber work for years but found Stitch Club a good fit. It makes me try new things and inspires me to work. It is the best run site I've been on and has something for everyone at every level whether starting or continuing to learn.

I joined after stitch camp on Facebook. I was amazed at the number of different types of workshops : both old and new avaliable to members. I've learned so much in a short period of time with the various workshops, not to mention the kind words from members from all over the globe. And even if you are a newbie at stitching , you can get such helpful suggestions from the instructors and even the members: so many ideas and so many possibilities. Stitch club came at a time when most of us needed it, and it has been a wonderful journey for me, as well as others. I've taken classes at local art league in textiles : it had been fun but did not give me the ideas for future projects and it was rather expensive each class I took. Stitch club cost is a good price more within what a good majority of us can afford and I have come away with some great ideas for for future ideas as well as learning something new. And the option of doing it at your pace and skipping a workshop works well for me. Not to mention the friendships you develop in your journey with stitch club, its been an amazing experience, and I will continue to come back for mor. Thank you for all the people behind the scenes who have put this together, there is really nothing out there even close to being like this.

It is not surprising that positive comments are made of the Stitch Club experience. The platform presents excellent and exciting fortnightly workshops and I subscribe from Ireland.
My favourite workshops are those that include mixed media work. My response to any workshop usually tends to reflect my views. I can’t help it and I seldom make anything just for fun in my pockets of time. Recently we had an embroidery workshop on working an eye. There were some fabulous examples produced. I did my horse’s eye. I found it more meaningful and evocative than had I concentrated on depicting my own eye in stitch.
I always need an incentive to make time for my artistic side, subscribing to Stitch Club provides me with that and so much more.

I joined Stitch Club in January after their 'boot camp'. At 64 I'm a newbie to textiles, embroidery etc, and wanted to give myself challenges as I retire.

The calendar of events is very varied, and a joy to have a go at them. The comments and feedback from the tutors and other member is always very encouraging and supportive.

I have to say, I just wish I had tried these skills earlier in my life - but as they say... it's never too late to learn!

I love a challenge and learning new skills so Stitch Club is a perfect fit! I initially completed every challenge during Covid, but having developed greater knowledge, skills and confidence I am more selective about what I complete but take some learning from each video. Lots of opportunities for development

I’ve been an returning member of stitch club since January 2023. Being a full time carer of my wheelchair bound husband I cannot meet with my local stitch community any longer. I take part in most of the excellent workshops, learn a lot from them and from the interaction with the other members in a wonderful community. I think the variety of themes, techniques and outcomes from my stitch friends help me find my own textile art ”voice”.

I’ve been in stitch club almost since it beginnings. It has led me back to my first love, embroidery. I have tried almost everything ,but, some really stick in my mind.
Making books was probably my most fulfilling venture. I found some Italian leather from a discarded sofa for the covers and made a collection for myself and family. Rather than using new papers I went through all my old design sheets, using them as interesting infill sheets. I keep one book for when I’m feeling down, turn a page and add a little more colour or design to something in need of a bit more work. Not quite full yet!
Other outstanding ideas, sea shells, working with folded paper, long sewn strips on cones from my local museum…so much variety send I must list Sue’s last one on faces. This I have avoided since being a teenager..BUT…I actually did the faces of my children when young.
Blue group discussions have been an absolute lifeline, seeing so many different reactions and finished work from a delightful group.
Having fresh ideas keeps me learning each video.

I am a member of stitchclub since its inception. I find myself waiting impatiently for each new workshop. Each new workshop is led by a professional fiber artist usually the quality of instruction very high and the way it is filmed and delivered is excellent. In addition, the members are very encouraging and the sense of community here are unparalleled. StitchClub has truly become an indispensable part of my crafting journey and honestly also of my overall life.
