Loved the concept and experience. Incredible selection of dresses, supportive staff helping with dress choices, easy collection / drop-off. I’ll be using them for every occasion going-forward.

I recently hired two outfits and a clutch from Taito Ro for my wedding weekend. I tried them on in advance in the Ampthill store, where there are so many beautiful pieces of clothing! Phoebe was always quick to reply to my messages and the whole process was so easy. Phoebe also let me pick up the items earlier and had flexible timings. I would recommend Taite Ro to everyone and I will be back to hire more! 🥰

All the experiences I have had a Taite Ro have been just perfect. The owner of the store and ladies who work for her are just so lovely. Listening to all the needs and wants I have requested for specific events have been met every single time. I can’t recommend Phoebe and the team more. I recently hired two dresses from Taite Ro for my daughter’s wedding abroad. They weren’t for the main day but for the events around it, and I couldn’t have been happier. The delivery was excellent, and both dresses were styles I’d never have had the courage to buy before yet I felt absolutely amazing in them.

I booked an appointment ahead of a black tie wedding as I knew I wanted to rent a dress instead of invest in something I would never wear again. I was so excited I found taite ro so nearby to me. I bought along my 4month old and the ladies couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. They gave me lots of beautiful options to try on and really helped me feel confident postpartum. All in all a wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to the next time I have an excuse to return.

The dress did arrive but the leaflet said it would be boxed but it was just in a standard bag. There was no return bag or label so I had to sort that all out myself and the communication was just really poor. I had no idea the dress was going to arrive which made my whole event very stressful.

The owner is SO lovely and really helpful picking out outfits that suit your body shape and type. It’s one of my favourite shops to go to for key pieces that make you receive endless compliments on.

Extremely disappointing experience

I contacted the company ahead of renting to confirm sizing (the dress was listed as both an 8 and 10) but received no clear answer beyond “it sits between an 8/10, depending on the customer.” I booked a one-day rental for August 6th, only to be informed after paying that due to “unprecedented delays” the dress wouldn’t even be sent until the 8th. No discount was offered, and no tracking was provided until I chased.

When the dress arrived, the sizing label had been cut out, making it impossible to know what size it actually was. The fit wasn’t flattering, so I tried it on briefly at home and returned it the next business day (as agreed) via Royal Mail tracked - at my own cost (£9 on top of the £33 rental fee).

Nearly two weeks later, I was told that because the external Taite Ro ribbon tag had been cut (which was returned with the dress and in no way affects its value) and because the dress “smelled of perfume,” they had concluded I must have worn it. On this basis, they attempted to charge me for a four-day rental - “downgraded” to an extra one-day charge (£33) as a so-called gesture of goodwill. This accusation was completely unfounded. I had already paid a substantial amount just to try the dress on, and was penalised further on assumptions rather than facts.

Although the range of dresses is good, the lack of transparency, poor customer service, and unfair handling of returns made this a complete waste of time and money. I will be renting from reputable platforms like HURR in the future and will be disputing these unauthorised charges with my bank.

Great customer service

Such poor customer service, I was so disappointed. I ordered a dress for a try on which was great, paid the fee, expressed that I would like to rent for a wedding and 4 weeks and 3 emails later to no response. I emailed the info, Phoebe and left a contact us comment, so tried 3 different means of comms. I've gone back to By Rotation, I thought better to use a smaller business.

I had a wonderful experience using Taite Ro. My queries were responded to so quickly via email. The dress arrived the day before I expected it and it was an entirely smooth process. Thank you so much for giving me the perfect dress for my birthday celebrations!

I absolutely LOVED this dress. The quality is fantastic, colour is vibrant and I had so many compliments on the dress. Service was super quick even though I ordered it on the Wednesday for a Friday delivery! Always always always recommend and will keep coming back ♥️
