This is the second time I have dealt with Global Surf Industries and it has been an absolute pleasure everytime. The paddleboards have arrived promptly, well looked after and to some quite dificult places to get too (ie Tennant Creek).

Seriously quick delivery of goods. As I found myself cursing the amount of material wrapping surrounding the board I had to stop and remember that the folks at GSI had done this to ensure my board was 100% when it reached me.
Easy and cheap.
I purchased a board which was advertised on sale. Once i had bought the board, the team were quick to let me know that the colour I wanted was not available for immediate shipping to Sydney. The offered a different colour for next day delivery or said I could have the colour I wanted shipped from Perth within a few days. I asked for the original colour which they shipped quickly and had it to me within the week. Would definitely buy through this site again.

Great products but could use some work
I've bought three surfboards from GSI and they have been polite and fair with me in all of our dealings and have great customer service. They do, however, have some areas they need to work on:
1. They screen surfboard reviews and allow only those they like/agree with to be posted to their site. I've tried to post a review of the board I bought on two different occasions on their website but I guess because I mention the board broke that it doesn't pass their screening process and they don't post it. Doesn't seem ethical of them to prevent honest reviews from being posted. The overall review was positive and there was no profanity or anything that should have prevented it from being posted.
2. Information and tracking. In every dealing I've had with GSI there is a lot of confusion as to where exactly boards are and what exactly is in stock. The first board I ordered online they emailed me that they didn't have that one in stock and convinced me to accept an alternate--they did give me a discount. The next board I ordered I waited for four weeks to come in and then when it finally came in they contact me and say, "oops, the color you wanted didn't come in but will you take the red instead of the blue?" Seems in this day and age their inventory tracking should be on the money exactly and not suffer from these hiccups.
Excellent Service
I have ordered 3 boards and a bag in about the last 12 months. It seems like there are usually a couple odd details I am seeking that are not on the website. Each time this has occurred a real person has responded to my inquiries, promptly.
Once, when a web glitch would have caused an order to be delayed for a few weeks, someone there talked to me and made it right. I really appreciate the caring customer service they provide.

I purchased a board for our son's 30th birthday on sunday the 1st of Nov.and was hoping it would arrive on his actual day the 4th,the board had to come from Sydney to western Victoria and it said on web site delivery would be 3 to 4 days .
To our surprise it arrived on the day at 3 pm.
A great company to deal with and great web site .

It's been three weeks and still waiting. At least a dude called and told me the board that was going to ship was damaged so the are looking for another one? All communication went blank since then...so yeah?!

The ride, I have surfed the board about 5 times ,, from 2ft weak conditions to 3-4ft clean conditions ,, started with 3 fins reactor fins ,, board felt loose @light underfoot,, swap to four fins in better clean surf ,, the board preformed great very fast ,, very smooth ,,very happy after 37 years of surfing @shaping boards. the construction,, eps foam . carbon vector looks great, holding up , no dents on deck ,, so very impressed,, hoping you can bring out more models for the experience surfer ,, thanks ross

A first class service.
Every now and again something goes wrong during a transaction, it's a fact of life things happen. The true test is how those problems are resolved. GSI and Scott Wyatt (Operations Manager) in particular were first class, in under 48 hrs the matter was resolved in an efficient and effective manner. I will certainly be using GSI again and recommend them without hesitation.

Terrible Experience but Unbelievable Customer Service
I ordered my board around mid August excited to surf it before summer was over unfortunately was informed fairly quickly that the website had not been updated and the board was actually on back order. Caused me to wait over a month till the board finally shipped. The board finally arrived and was damaged by the shippers in the process but after waiting so long I just wanted to take the board and get it fixed myself. Overall the experience was disappointing......
EXCEPT..... Thanks to Tony Butler the customer service manager who was absolutely amazing through the the whole process. He was completely honest and empathetic of the situation, kept good contact over the whole process assuring me he would get me the right board ASAP. He even offered me a refund after finding out my board had been damaged.
I WILL go back to this company just based on Tony he was amazing and deserves some sort of award or raise or something for the effort he puts into his job.

I found an NSP board here for almost a hundred dollars cheaper than anywhere else. I will definitely be buying my next board from them as well. It took a few weeks to arrive, but was worth it if you dont need a new board asap.
