DO NOT order from sunglasses.ie
This website is a SCAM. They advertise '40.000 references' on their website, which is obviously more than a small Dublin brick and mortar shop can stock. The reason is: almost NONE of these are in stock, and they are basically doing dropshipping -> taking the orders and the money, sending an automated email "your order has been placed 'on hold' and we are doing our best (...)" and then either taking MONTHS to source and ship the item (best case scenario) or just ignoring the order completely. NO customer service, NO response of any kind, NO accountability. You will be left with no other option but to dispute the transaction with your bank.
Very poor service
Very poor service, delayed delivery of my prescription glasses, no single response to over 4 emails and a hopeless process.
Needed a lensed replaced
Needed a lense replaced on a pair of sunglasses. I was charged for a pair of lenses as they could not be bought individually. When I asked for the second lense they could not provide me with it. I have called the shop on numerous occasions but nobody got back to me on each time. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Worst service, badly managed company
Where do I begin ?
Made an order on 15/08/24 and only received the item on 29/08/24. Order was made for delivery in Dublin for a Dublin company. The order was just shy of €200 so I expected a good service. My whole point of ordering was a quick turn around which was far from it. I got an email from Robbie saying it would be dispatched within 7 working days, and it would be received the following day it was over that time. Furthermore, I expected the item to be in stock, but it had to be ordered in from abroad. I rang manager Robbie on multiple occasions and he provided no assistance and said I was irate. He was very passive aggressive. I was certainly incredibly annoyed, but he did nothing to diffuse the situation. I disclosed I needed the glasses urgently for a gift but he did nothing to assist. On one phone call the line suddenly broke, I can’t be sure was it signal or if Robbie hung up. Needless to say I did not ring back and I emailed him and made an enquiry on the online enquiry form re updates to which I got no responses for a number of days until Gabor responded and said it would be dispatched the next working day and I’d receive it in 2 working days in contradiction to what Robbie the manager said. I also called and got a man called Mark who I asked to adjust my name as I inputted the spelling wrong and he did not do this. The package arrived with the wrong spelling. You would think this is a fairly basic adjustment. The package arrived on Friday 30th. They arrived in an Oakley sunglasses box within a cardboard box. There was no padding to stop the box shaking around and potentially damaging the sunglasses, nor was there a thank you for your custom note as there is with most companies. There was also no sunglasses cleaning wipe which I have recieved before from other companies. While it is an extra it’s a personal touch and makes a difference. This has been the worst customer service I have come across in a long time. Very poor management and only for I have no choice, I would give 0 stars but unfortunately I’m forced to give 1. I would like to note I never do negative reviews online but given the series of unfortunate events here and how I was left feeling, I felt extremely compelled to do a review.
Took payment no glasses, taxes and radio silence
I ordered a pair of glasses five weeks ago. Initially they emailed and said it would take a week for dispatch which I agreed to. It’s now been three weeks since they were dispatched and they have not arrived nor have the company answered any of my emails.
What I do have is a card from the post office saying the can’t deliver due to a £70 charge due to pay. I don’t know where they are actually sending these glasses from (I suspect not Ireland!!) but I can’t pay that tax and was not warned of it, assuming it was for this delivery.
They have £220 of my money while I have had no glasses for over a month and no replies.
Scratched lens? Just replace them!!
Stupidly put my rayban sunglasses in my jacket pocket with a nail file. Scratched lens etc. Was going to buy new sunnies when friend suggested replacing lens. Saved €150. Delighted. Thanks guys

I ordered a pair of rayban's online and received an email the following day to advise they were out of stock. I was offered an alternative pair that were in stock but I said I would wait for the pair I ordered instead and was prepared to wait the 7-10 days as advised. These glasses were cheaper compared to 2 large department stores so felt the little wait was worth it as I was saving money. The glasses arrived in perfect condition and Iwas happy with the free delivery too..along with supporting a family business compared to the 2 large department stores. Would recommend.

Long wait times for delivery
Bought a voucher on this site after seeing that they charge very standard rates and use a well known courier company - the voucher was bought on a Tuesday afternoon and I opted to have it posted as it looked to be a nice item to wrap up etc. for a key birthday. The Monday after that Tuesday was a Bank Holiday and so this company were not in a position to get my voucher to the courier company until the Wednesday after the bank holiday - a whole week and one day after the order. Now there is no issue with the courier as they will deliver on the day they get the item or next day worst case but Sunglasses.ie are not a website I could recommend at all. - I bought an item from Amazon on the Friday night of that bank holiday weekend and the item arrived on Tuesday. There were no stock issues with my case , it is purely inefficiencies. I tend to stay away from writing reviews but I use trust pilot myself and I think this extremely long length for delivery should be known.
