Engineers visit

We’ve had a few issues over the years, but today’s visit went very well with Derek’s methodical approach checking and considering everything instilled confidence (very important with gas appliances)

Excellent service and my fires are all…

Excellent service and my fires are all sorted!
I was previously prompted to write a negative review as I was so frustrated by the way I was treated by Gazco customer service. I am now pleased to say that Gazco did help me in the end. A very helpful engineer attended and assessed what new parts were required. These were ordered and he came back on Friday to repair and service two of my fires. The engineer was extremely helpful. Thank you.

We really appreciate that you have taken the time to revisit Trust pilot to write a new review.

We had been disappointed that you felt initially your experience with us had not been at the high quality we take pride in, but as explained at the time, due to an exceptionally busy Autumn season our lead-times were longer than anticipated.

It is therefore lovely to hear that the wait was worthwhile, and our expert engineer not only resolved the issue you were having with the fire (quickly ordering parts and organising a revisit) but also did a full service on your other appliances. Leaving you to sit back and enjoy all three fires over the Christmas period.

I would suggest going forward that you perhaps book our engineer for the fires annual services to keep them in full working order. But would suggest that you make the request at the end of September/early October to reduce the risk of a delay in a visit.

I will pass on your positive comments to the relevant engineer as I know he will be pleased that you are happy with his work.

Above and Beyond

Kenny arrived right on time and explained he had Adam with him who was training. I was kept up to date during their visit and was then advised repair was not possible that day as a part needed ordering. Happy with Kenny’s explanation and he ensured a return visit would be possible before Christmas. Kenny went above and beyond in helping get my fire issue resolved. I had complete trust in him and I am very grateful for all he did. Both he and Adam are a great asset to your company.

We do try, where possible, to fix any issue on the first visit but if the part required is not standard Van stock, we do at times have to order the parts and arrange a re-visit. We always try and get our engineers back to site as quickly as we can, and therefore I am pleased that we managed to resolve the issue by Christmas so you could sit back and enjoy the fire during the festive period.

Great Service - Great Customer Experience

Kenny the Stovax-Gazco engineer arrived on time and was well prepared and organised to resolve the issue. The service and part replacement took some time however was a thourough job. Kenny expained what the problem was and said what he had done to improve performance ongoing (new updated part). Tidy and clean job done and Kenny even had time to wish me a merry Christmas.. we will do, now the Gas/log burner is back up and running...improved and full serviced.

Service Engineer Excellence

Engineer was Ray who called prior to arriving to give me an ETA which was very helpful.
He was polite clean & tidy and explained clearly the issue which he duly fixed.
Really happy with everything about this service visit from initial contact and booking to completion of the job.

Jon Thompson is an experienced and knowledgable engineer for Gazco. He visited us to look at an ongoing issue with our gas fire. He contacted us with a time for the visit and was true to his word. Gas fire engine fault

We had a problem with the engine on our gas fire and from our initial dealings with Daniel via email to Derek the engineer who came to carry out the repair we’ve had a first class service. Daniel kept us informed of the prices throughout responding quickly to any queries. Derek turned up on time was clean and tidy and sorted the fire out plus checked over the full installation before cleaning all the refitted components. Would highly recommend

Jon Thompson arrived promptly and identified the problem we were having with the fire immediately. He thoroughly checked over the fire operation and gas supply and fixed two issues missed by another company.

The engineer was great polite

The engineer was great polite, efficient and he phoned 15 minutes before he was going to arrive. He put down dust sheets and left only when the fire was working and he had shown me the new had set. Five stars for the engineer. I did find it booking the job not very easy and worry that I wont be able to get a service next year.

We do of course attend all service and warranty requests but unfortunately, this time of year is the busiest for all heating engineers and we are no exception. This does mean lead-times are extended and it can be more difficult to book a service when our engineers are already fully booked.

We would therefore suggest for next year you book your service slightly earlier in the year, so it isn't affected by seasonal demand.

Brilliant Professionalism

Very high level of expertise. Quick, efficient and clean service. Overall - just excellent. Jon Thompson was our engineer and arrived on time having let us know in advance his ETA.
He quickly diagnosed the problem (something others engineers were unable to do) and set-about fixing the problem which he did promptly and without fuss.

Jon was very personable, clean and tidy and left the gas fire in perfect working order for the first time in 6 months. I can highly recommend Stovax & Gazco in general and their engineer Jon Thompson in particular.
