This company is a scam!!!!!
This company is a scam!!!!!
Nader and Michelle Janati-Ataei first started this project with Belinda B. from your company. Everything was going ok until Belinda sent the first chapter to Nader and Michelle. When Michelle Janati read it, she thought the chapter was dry and not what Nader and Michelle were looking for in a book. Michelle then plugged the outline into AI and AI wrote the first chapter the way Nader and Michelle wanted. When Michelle shared her concerns to Belinda about the first chapter, Belinda said she understood and will work on it further.
3/30/2026 Michelle received an email stating "I wanted to share a quick update on your project. Belinda will unfortunately need to step away due to personal reasons. I understand this may come as a surprise, and I want to reassure you that we’re taking steps to ensure a smooth transition.” (Please see attached.)
On 4/6/2026 Michelle received another email appointing Jason as their new writer and to continue the project. (See attached.) Jason contacted them 1 time and said after he reviewed and organized all the information he would contact them again, but did not!!
From 4/8/2026 to 5/13/2026 Michelle has not heard from any employee from your company. She requested to cancel the book project and at that point receives an email stating your resolution. Then there was a follow up stating someone else will contact Michelle and still nothing.
Over the course of 8 months Michelle has been paying $500.00 every two weeks for this project that keeps getting more disappointing. She has paid a total of $
It is now October 22, 2026 and still have not heard a word from this company or even been refunded!!!!

Dear Misty,
I’m Nina from the StoryTerrace Customer Experience team. I can hear how much Nader’s book means to your family, and I’m here to help you/them complete their book. I’d like to reassure you that StoryTerrace is a legitimate, established company, and we’ve been helping families record their life stories for many years.
After the writer change, Michelle and Nader had a call with their new writer and were happy to continue with him. After receiving the updated sample chapter in April, they asked for a longer call with the writer to go through it. Our project manager asked for a few key points they’d like to cover, so the writer could come prepared. However, Michelle then told us she’d like to cancel the project. Our team replied by email straight away and tried calling in June, but we haven’t heard back since early May.
Under our terms, projects aren’t eligible for a refund once the outline has been approved or more than 90 days have passed since the project began, which our project manager also explained to Michelle by email. We’d still love to help Michelle finish Nader’s book, and we’re happy to offer an extension. I'll reach out to you via email so we can talk this through directly. Michelle is also very welcome to join those conversations.
Warm Regards,
Nina

Hi Derek,
Completing it in seven months is a real achievement, especially for a story you've wanted to tell for years. So many people say they've meant to write their story for a long time, and the hardest part is often simply beginning. We're so pleased you took that step with us and saw it all the way through!
A book like yours comes together over many conversations and drafts, and keeping it moving at a steady pace takes commitment on your side as well as ours. We sincerely hope reading it back feels like it was well worth the wait!

My Story
I was persuaded by my daughter to get Story Terrace,
the Publisher to help me tell my story.
I was introduced to the editor Lara Delmage initially, who explained to me in detail the procedures involved.
I was to be matched with a writer and once mutually agreeable person was selected, the programme would start. First person I was put in touch was Vanwy Arif, who became my Writer as we both got on well together. I was told about the interviews and the format. Vanwy was helpful in getting my story in a chronological order, and getting the story divided in chapters with titles and accepted minor corrections. Vanwy did additional work in completing my story and suggested titles while giving me the final choice to decide.
The story truly captures me, better than I expected.
Augusta Valmaggia, the editor came at the finishing stages and was equally helpful in making final corrections and touches, and suggesting ideas about the photos to be included in the book.
All in all it was a great experience working with Story Terrace and I am truly delighted with the final result.

Hi Dr. A Ramaswamy,
Your daughter gave you some very good advice! We're delighted you decided to go ahead, and that Lara set out each step so clearly at the start. Knowing exactly how the interviews and the writer match will work tends to make those first conversations much easier.
Finding a writer you get on with matters more than anything else, so we're thrilled Vanwy proved to be the right match. Putting a lifetime of memories into chronological order and shaping them into titled chapters takes real care, and Vanwy went further still while always leaving the final say with you. Hearing that the book captures you even better than you expected is the best outcome we could wish for. Agustina's help with the last corrections and the choice of photos clearly brought it all together.
We'll share your kind words with the team and congratulations on the finished book!
Warm Regards,
Nina

Hi Deborah,
We really appreciate you sharing this. We're sorry your health has been so tough lately, and we hope you're feeling a little stronger each day. Taking things at whatever pace suits you is a big part of how we work, and it's good to know the extension gave you the breathing room you needed.
Please don't worry about not being tech savvy. Plenty of people feel nervous the first time they open something new, and finding the courage to even try is a big step in itself. If you ever find yourself stuck at any point in the process, please feel free to reach out and we would be happy to walk you through it one step at a time. Thank you for this! We understand how writing a book can sound like a big undertaking at the beginning, so we try to break it into simple stages that never feel overwhelming. Hearing that the whole process felt great and easy to follow tells us that approach is working.
A book like this is always a group effort, with different people helping at each step. So when you say everyone was great, that's a wonderful thing for the whole team to read. We'll be sure to pass this on to everyone who worked with you!

What an experience!
This company employs high quality people with talent! I worked mostly with Simone Leon. She was selected initially I think because I was raised in Southern California where she also lives, and we both graduated from the same college. When you go through a project like this, write your story, it's very personal of course. You're literally pouring your heart out to someone you've just met, in my case, someone much younger. I deveoped a real connection with her that was reflected in the book. When she sent me the rough draft, it looked like something that I wrote, had the same sort of expressions that I used. She was brilliant at capturing "me" in my story. Her editor, Tilly, was also a pleasure and talented. She helped with some of the final editing and found ways to improve my story. From my perspective, it was really a great experience and I am all smiles when I think about it!

Hi Ronald,
What a wonderful review to read! We put a lot of thought into pairing every storyteller with a writer who suits them, so we're delighted that growing up in Southern California and going to the same college gave you and Simone such a natural starting point.
We agree that telling your story can feel like pouring your heart out to someone you've only just met, and that real connection you built with Simone is precisely what lets a book capture the person behind it. That moment of opening the rough draft and finding your own expressions looking back at you is the feeling we hope every storyteller gets to experience.
We're also happy to hear that Tilly's final edits helped your story shine even more. We'll make sure Simone and Tilly both see this, and we know it'll make their week for sure! Being trusted with something so personal is never something we take lightly, and we love knowing you're all smiles whenever you think about it.
Warm Regards,
Nina

Our interviews are meant to feel like a conversation you look forward to, so we're thrilled every single one with Simone was not only fun, but was equally fulfilling.
Talking about your life with someone new can feel like a big ask, and the right writer changes everything. It's clear from your words how well you and Simone got on, and that kind of connection is what helps a book feel truly yours.

Hi Ronald,
Thank you, this is such a thoughtful review!
We believe that the best books come from good questions, and we're touched that Simone helped you work through the important aspects of your life and bring them onto the page.
Looking back over your life and deciding which moments belong in the book isn't always easy. Having someone alongside you who knows which questions to ask, and when, can make that feel rewarding rather than daunting. Being guided along the path, rather than left to figure it out alone, is how we want every storyteller to feel.
A fluid biography is just what we hope for, and it's great that Simone made getting there a pleasure and a treat. We're sure she will be really pleased when we pass this along.
Warm Regards,
Nina

What a lovely message to receive. From the very first contact, we want people to feel they have someone in their corner who'll explain things clearly and support them, so we're so pleased Joe has been that person for you.
Starting something new like this naturally comes with plenty of questions, and having one friendly person who keeps you informed makes everything feel far more manageable. We love that you're calling it a pleasurable and exciting adventure. Looking back on your life should feel like something to enjoy rather than a task to get through, and were happy to know that it sounds like that's exactly what it felt like for you.

I recently completed a book taster session with StoryTerrace. I was absolutely blown away with what came back from my session. I was in the very early stages of planning my book, but after a 1 hour session I was provided with a clear plan of my book, which included an example piece of writing for what could potentially be the first page. I could not believe how much the writer found out about me in a one hour session. Her gentle questioning and probing enabled her to capture exactly what I want in my book.
If you are thinking of taking part in a book taster session then please do it. It’s worth every penny. 😊

Give it a go!
I was hesitant to start with as writing a memoir seemed like a very large commitment. I was interviewed by a writer at StoryTerrace and my opinion changed immediately. I was encouraged to tell my story, but to break it up into smaller, manageable chunks. The writer was brilliant and really helped put my thoughts into words on a page. The sample chapter the writer wrote was fantastic, capturing the mood of my story as well as capturing the atmosphere.
I would recommend StoryTerrace to anyone wanting to write. They have the expertise to help point you in the right direction and the ghost writers are very experienced.

My journey with StoryTerrace
My journey started with a call from a StoryTerrace sales executive Casey, and I was very impressed. She took the time to genuinely listen to my goals, answer my questions, and understand what I wanted from the experience. She walked me through the different packages with complete transparency and recommended the Book Taster as the perfect, low-risk way to test the waters. Her warm and professional approach gave me the immediate confidence to sign up.
The process continued with a relaxed, one-hour chat with professional writer Stefanie Fox who was matched specifically to me. Stefanie was warm, empathetic, and an incredible listener to my story.
Within a couple of days, the team delivered a polished preview document. It included a high-level book outline, a breakdown of the narrative style, and a gorgeous sample page of writing that encapsulated my memories. Would 100% recommend
