using the "you've self-excluded yourself" so you cant withdraw money which was deposited that very day which wasnt used saying its been sent to charity?! aye the crooks united charity! I have sent complaint to IBAS hopefully they can sort my complaint!

Crooks. Stealing people's money.They credit back your account with less amount than you won in particular game/spin. Confronted with evidence they will start ignoring you. I would urge everyone playing on their website in the past to make an complaint and ask for review.

The organisation allowed me to open a account even though I was self excluded. Which is obviously my fault as well however they have cancelled my bets and just kept my money which was £45 in total. I believe they are profiting from responsible gambling. I have complained to them , however they have advised that they have given the funds to charity. However they have sent no proof of this. Surely if a company allows people to set up accounts and then keeps the money that is a no lose for the bookmaker and taking funds from vulnerable people. This is clearly morally wrong and I wanted to bring to your attention how businesses are using problem gambling to create a no lose situation for themselves.
I can see there are people with similar issues with the merchant , I would recommend everyone with the same issue contacting the gambling commission who can review the license of the betting operator

I registered with gamstop a while ago now and a couple of months ago i registered with star sports telephone betting account they have basically allowed me to gamble for a few months without even bother checking I was with gamstop they say ive had two accounts but its on the more recent one im on with gamstop I am wandering if i could get my money back on the deposists as they didnt bother to do anything about my accounts they should of closed it down straightaway but theve allowed me to deposit and withdrawing money even though i was with gamstop i didnt even notice they were with gamstop its taken them two to three months of the account being opened to notice im with gamstop they say im getting a call form there complaince department so hopefully something will be done about it it just goes to show that they will take anyones money during lockdown and prob knew i was with gamstop but allowed the bets through just to profit on vunreable people totally disguting to be honest with you

Pathetic bookies...did a few bets didnt even win then miserable €5 bets were sent to trader and only allow me €2 bets... by far worst bookmakers i ever deallt with.. imagine a bookies not talking a €5 bet 😂😂😂 absolutaly pathetic

The sports section is OK, but the casino is just yet another scam. Add this one to the avoid list. Never went above starting balance, vast majority of games gave only dead spins and constant bonus teasers. Very manipulative.

Decided to do my weekly accumulator punt on Starsports since they have the acca refund promotion. After 1 accumulator losing and my refund free bet winning I got banned from promotions! LOL. 1 free bet win then banned!! I wouldnt waste your time with this company. I cant see them lasting long if this is how they treat their customers.

Account suspended with no explanation. Live chat facility on website is fake. No response to emails. Staff do answer the telephone but are rude and I had the phone put down on me. Have reported to the Gambling Commission

I opened my starsports account and immediately went through the verification process to ensure I could deposit and withdraw freely. Account was fully verified (apparently) after sending in copy of passport, utility bill and card.

Two weeks later my account was closed. I contacted via email some lady called caron (who just replies with the name ‘Caron’ and no job title or surname etc,who told me they closed my account as I had an excluded account with betvictor back in 2013 and they apparently are one and the same.

I explained to ‘Caron’ that this is exactly why I go through the verification first to ensure this didn’t happen. She claimed that I registered with the first name ‘Sam’ and my betvictor was apparently ‘Samuel’ which is why this wasn’t picked up. Bare in mind all my verification docs had my full name before depositing and they said it was fine.

So at this point I’m £6.5k in the hole with them and they then shut my account. I argued that I should never have been allowed to deposit and withdraw once I’d sent in my verification as this is surely what it’s for. ‘Caron’s’ reply was ‘contact IBAS if you aren’t happy, all bets are taken in good faith and we won’t be refunding anything’

So I lodged it with IBAS and am waiting for their conclusion. It’s more the fact I wouldn’t have the chance to win it back and they just shut the account and take no responsibility.

Avoid like the plague, they are crooks and I imagine will not last much longer.

A friend recommended these guys after I got closed by my other bookies just for having a couple of winners! Have had no problem getting bets on. Last week had a decent win on their Casino and had to get in touch with them cause i'd had to cancel my bankcard - they literally couldnt be more helpful and sorted everything out straightaway. So this review is to say a big thank you.

Claim they are members of Gamstop yet they have allowed someone who is signed up to Gamstop to join and now happily taken £2900 in deposits. A family ripped apart and they don't give a toss.

EDIT*** It is only fair that I say that they have since reviewed my complaint and they are true to their word and have refunded in full, citing an admin error. From 1-star to 5....Have to say, first class customer service.

Complete a HARD credit search without consent and when queried on online chat, their customer service guy Gary was TERRIBLE. Dismissive and rude.

Do NOT play the casino games on this site! I deposited£50 and lost the lot in less than 15 minutes. Not a single profitable spin on three different slots playing£1 a spin.

Got an email from them shortly after opening an account saying my account no longer qualifies for special offers or promotions. All because I bet £20 on a few of their slightly-boosted correct score prices on that very minor sporting event, the World Cup.

If they don't want clients betting on their correct score offers (for a maximum, enormous £20 bet) then why advertise them ? There's nothing on their website saying that these very slightly boosted odds are only available to some customers (i.e. mugs), which is false advertising - where is the notice stating that the offers are 'only available to selected customers' ?

This is the same firm that regularly appears on ITV racing saying they've taken a £100,000 bet on such and such a horse, have a £million pound liability on another horse etc., yet they won't even let me have £1 now on a correct score bet in the World cup, never mind the third division of the Isthmian league; you couldn't make it up!

Oh and they operate from a Unit on a Business Estate. What a bunch of jokers.

I had an account with these people but stopped using them due to bad customer service, i also had a demmys account and one with another bookmaker i had not used in a couple of years.I telephoned who i thought was my other account only to be greeted by the word 'YES' , i said who is this ? i said sorry i dialed a wrong number ,as i knew i'd never be greeted like that. I dialed again this time reaching the same rude gentleman, but this time he said ' YEAH ' ? u wanna place a bet ? I said it seems after googling Starsports have taken over my account i had with another bookie, I said all i'm ringing for is to see if i can re-start my credit account . Now here's the thing , Starsports did not know who i was , i could have had this treatment whilst waiting to put on a large bet , i am truly shocked at the way this company dealt with my query. The short of it was i was told to go online and open another online account ,then apply for the credit account there.The page did not load, so using the live chat i told them all i want is to know what happened to my other accounts ? he said i must apply again ... online , even though i just told him the page is a blank screen. 'Oh you will have to speak to the compliance team who are in tomorrow ' . I thought so why do i need this online acount when i already have a telephone account that they could possibly link the credit account to , as in the 4 digit pin ? . Anyway all i said was how you have dealt with me is so NOT like the image you portray , as in the gentleman's bookmaker , valued customers and all that BS . My online account and phone account were both suspened within 2 minutes of me telling them the truth of just how shocking this experience was . Bring back DEMMY CREDIT and BARRY'S Company, so much more professional , same as my overall experience with Skybet , and they were online , the only reason i stopped using telephone only type betting . Starsports were bad then , now i truly think they couldn't care less , hence just cancelling both my accounts ,all because i told them the truth about how bad they still are . Too big a company to care i guess , but if you want a stress free life, a fun betting experience, polite ,professional and congenial towards their customers, this is far from the experience i have had with them .
