If you are going to buy anything from this company, you really need to hope they get it right first time, or you will need to familiarise yourself with the Consumer Rights Act - you will need it!
As other reviews say, Joanne in the Warrington store is great, and we ordered a made to measure corner sofa and armchair with her. That's pretty much where the positives end.
The store manager reassured us that in the unlikely event that there was anything wrong, Customer Services would sort it. In our experience this is not true. They do not reply to emails, they continually had to be chased, wrong parts were sent twice in order to carry out the repair, and when we sent them an email with a deadline to respond, their response was "I thought this was sorted"
In fact it was only when we exercised our right to return for a refund that they really started pushing to try and carry out repairs that should have been carried out in March when we first informed them.
Sofa Superstore's post sale customer service and aftercare is virtually non existent.
The guys who collected the faulty furniture were great and get 5 stars. Sofa Superstore are awful; avoid them, and spend your money somewhere where they know what they are doing.

The store were very good at their sales pitch and taking your money, but when they have breached the delivery promise 3 times it gets beyond a joke. Ordered October 2025 and paid 800 deposit. Delivery due mid Feb 2026. M8d Feb came, was told end April. End of April came and went, then told "on the water, will be end of june". Cancelled order in May due to breach on contract and was told by head office we couldn't cancel as the delivery delay was reasonable as there were "global circumstances beyond our control",and it will be delivered end of june. Emailed them ans told them no it won't as it is cancelled. 2 more chasing up emails later and still no response and no refund of deposit! Still waiting! Customer service a complete joke

Very poor Customer service, we ordered a dinning table in February, they booked it, took full payment and still pending delivery even after 5 months, emails don't bother to respond and calls revert us to email the customer services !!!!!!

Chris at the Bolton store has been really helpful when we’ve come in to choose a new sofa. He’s helped amended the sizes so we can make the most of the made to measure that’s available.

Visited the Middlebrook, Bolton store recently to look at sofas.

There was no real welcome or acknowledgement when we entered the showroom, and although there were staff on the shop floor, no one came over to offer assistance while we were browsing. We were left to walk around on our own, which made the experience feel quite disengaged compared to what you would normally expect in a furniture showroom.

We did find a few sofas we liked towards the back of the store, so spent some time looking around, but overall the customer experience could definitely be improved in terms of engagement and support.

One point of feedback is around the television in the showroom. A news channel was being displayed during our visit, which felt unsuitable for a retail environment where customers are trying to relax and make purchasing decisions. We changed it to something more neutral, however a member of staff later switched it back again. When we mentioned it, another staff member commented, “yes, he likes that channel,” which came across as dismissive and unprofessional in the context of a customer experience.

Unfortunately, due to the overall experience, we have decided to take our business elsewhere.

Overall, the store has good products on display, but the customer service approach and in-store environment could be improved to make it feel more welcoming and comfortable for shoppers.

Chris at the Bolton store had a mountain of knowledge for each and every sofa that really helped us put together a style and a package we fell in love with. 10/10
