Just an example for how bad this is - On google classroom there was a popup about teacher appreciation week - press learn more and it was blocked. Your extension is s***, and you make my life as an Anthropology and Global Politics student a living hell.

I just can’t express with words how absolutely horrible this application is. I think most people would agree, because it has been HACKED by students about 35 times this year.

Just now I was trying to listen to some music, but the service I clicked on was BANNED BY SMOOTHWALL.

So now I can’t even do my homework because the link we were given is blocked by SMOOTHWALL.

I just can’t believe what problems this is causing: about 35% of the people in my school can’t connect to the Wi-Fi network because SMOOTHWALL only lets you connect with networks that have a “security” of “wpa2/wpa3. So almost half of the students can’t even do the schoolwork because of this terrible app.

In conclusion, I don’t know why this was invented, and if you want a firewall for your students, use something like bichute instead. I just can’t believe this exists…

i went home to do my homework and i opened a new tab, only to find out that literally EVERY search engine available on the chromebook was blocked (apart from chrome)). I don't even know why!! just says "search engine, [search engine name]", and it makes no sense!

Aside from being extremely annoying, Smoothwall Client blocks things that shouldn't be blocked and doesn't block things that should be blocked, and is altogether ineffective. MANY people AND students do NOT like this app and it is automatically installed for every student pretty much everywhere.
I really appreciate you guys supporting the fact that Smoothwall sucks like all heck but the borderline cursing is a little much.
