Terrific customer service
I have ordered from Smith and Noble for years and have always gotten high-quality window treatments. I worked with a designer over the phone for a recent drapery order. She was terrific and took a lot of time with me, but unfortunately there was some miscommunication over the measurements and they arrived much too long. After reviewing the notes, the company sent new drapes (and all new hardware, which seemed like a waste), at the correct length but two panels were too narrow. Again, the company remade them. They were finally installed at the correct measurements yesterday. Start to finish, it took five+ months. However, customer service was terrific with correcting the errors. I’m glad I had paid for installation, as the installer handled the communication with the company directly, which was a big help. I will continue to order from Smith and Noble.

Painful Service Experience
Bought over $5000 of blinds and shutters through Smith & Noble. Started off well with an in-home measurement appointment within a week by a knowledgable staffer. But after that it's been horrible. They charge you the full cost upfront(including installation fees) even though blinds are at least 3 months out. You never hear from the account rep again. Then when the blinds or shutters do show up you get no confirmation email or follow-up on how to book installation. Finally, after searching through their site and old emails, and emailing the rep, you get an installation appointment link only to find out the independent installers are booked out at least a month. So, yeah go with these guys if you have 6 months to await your blinds installation and like to badger the company you paid $$$ to actually get the services you paid for. Please, S&O spend some money hiring logistics and customer service personnel to make things less painful for the customer.

Exceeded Expectations
This was my first time ordering custom drapes and valances online. The process went very smoothly from my video appt with Jessica Bly to placing the order and receiving my items earlier than expected. Jessica was a pleasure to work with and was very knowledgeable about the products. I am extremely happy with the items I received and they are even better than I expected! This will not be the last time I use Smith & Noble!

Length of shades sent is incorrect.
Length of shades sent is incorrect.
Although I carefully measured and sent the correct widths and lengths, all three of my roman shades are a half inch shorter than the length I sent.
And it looks that way when the shades are down.
So while fabric and quality are fine, I'm left with too short shades.

Product was great however
Product was great however, the directions supplied did not pertain to the product I purchased. It wasn't too complicated but enough to be annoying. Instead of supplying proper directions I was told I could have a technician come out for a charge. Felt a bit like a scam. Other then that the product was as expected. Fit nicely and looks great.

Woven shades with privacy liners
From the free samples to the knowledgeable Dona Grimm consultant, Smith & Noble provided me what I needed so I could design, measure, and place my order. Without Dona I don’t think I could have made the best choices for the order online, who guided me through all the decisions and took all the expert measurements. She took care of all the paperwork in the same visit. I am looking forward to receiving them soon.
