smarter iKettle stopped heating water
Kettle stopped heating water. I suspect it is just the heating element that has died but smarter are not willing to attempt to repair it. They offered me 20% off a brand new one as a goodwill gesture - not sure if I trust buying another one. I've been a long time customer, really disappointed with the company response.

I bought my first i kettle 9 years ago. Sadly the lid has become loose and now it boils for longer than it needs to before it stops. I contacted smarter to see if they could fix it as it was probably limescale buildup I just couldn’t get to and mid needed to be replaced as it worked fine other than that! I didn’t mind paying but as it was so old they no longer did that model and couldn’t repair it. They however they then offered me a free replacement to the 3.0 version.
It arrived as soon as it came into stock. I set it all up and it’s brilliant. I love it! the service I received was impeccable. I dealt with a representative called Aida who kept me informed the whole way and has been brilliant. I love the kettle and hoping this one will last another 9 years! 😀 thank you Smarter

As long as you are savvy with a smart phone then you will set this kettle up very easy.
Then enable the smarter ikettle skill via alexa app on your phone and it works perfectly.
It is a fantastic kettle and id buy anyday.
I would not buy this
I would not buy this, it broke after 11 months only and the company doesn’t really to my emails to claim the warrantee. Very unprofessional company
Gone bust...
Pretty certain this company has gone bust so don't buy from them. A family member has the ikettle and it's brilliant but after we ordered one we had a few emails advising it was delayed before never hearing from them again and no responses to emails etc. Fortunately my credit card company refunded and have taken the battle on to recoup the money.
Do not buy
Do not buy, orderd kettle last December as a present, went faulty in February, over boiling & would not collaborate, was promised a replacement for 5mths after this, we agreed on a refund which was promised 8 weeks ago, countless emails assuring it was being processed & it has arrived today. Product not fit for sale, customer service appalling.
BUYER BEWARE
Ordered kettle on 07MAY22. Was feeling dubious but read many great reviews on various consumer sites and hubby really wanted it. Received order confirmation, then 2 follow up emails in June and July to say it had been delayed. Then nothing. Have emailed twice requesting a refund and not received a response. Requested assistance from my credit card company but they say too much time has gone by for them to help. Annoyed that I didn't trust my gut on this one.

Our kettle broke months ago...trying to contact them is a nightmare!!!. Sent it back for repair which we were told was not possible and a refund was out of the question!!..we are told the kettle is out of stock so we will have to wait 2 months for the replacment ( still selling them to new customers).... still waiting!!!. What on earth is going on with this company? they claim to have customer service in the form of online chat, Whatsapp service and email. Only Emial gets any response and it takes 10 to 14 days for a reply so very easily 2 months has now passed since my kettle stopped working. There is no way this company should be allowed to retail its product into civilisation

Coffee machine broke after less than an year. I’ve been waiting for a replacement for months now and they don’t have a uk unit.
They won’t refund nor repair the product that is under warranty
Falsely advertised price as lower than reality
Web site was offering smart kettles at £109 but when you clicked through, it was only £129. No screenshots or conversations with them would change the click bait they used. Does not bode well for buying these.
Replacement sent out with no bother…
I have a smarter coffee machine and yes unfortunately the bean grinder did stop working, they sent instructions showing me how to clean etc incase that was the issue but it wasn’t. Now the machine was a gift so I didn’t have any proof of purchase however after a couple of friendly messages with a lady called Ashley on their customer support and a small video showing what the actual problem was a new replacement machine was immediately sent out regardless of the lack of purchase proof. What brilliant customer services. Thank you Smarter I will once again be waking up to the smell of freshly ground coffee filling the house. Top Marks.
Had a Smarter coffee machine
Had a Smarter coffee machine, first one lasted 9 months, then the second lasted 6 months, but this took it out the of the 12 month windows so after 13 months of an expensive coffee machine, it got scraped.
Company is a joke and shouldn't be trading.

Two stars for now - awaiting a responmse from their support team so this review is not final.
Purchase a kettle back in March - unfortunately there been countless issues, a major one is I'm unable to login to the app using my google email, just doesn;'t seem to like Gmail for whatever reason?
Secondly, and again a biggie - I purchased the kettle for the main use of being able to link it to Amazon Alexa, well thats never been able to happen due to what seems like poor engineering and a bad API. We can literally only press the button on the kettle, so we paid like £100+ for a standard kettle that we could've bought for £30 elsewhere.
Hoping they can help and turn this review around but so far it isn't looking good from reviews read on here, the Alexa store and the Google Play store.
