This has all the signs of a company that has been sold or is on verge of collapse.
Good products and service a few years back has now become the sort of company TrustPilot was invented to avoid.
My original Smart kettle lasted a number of year and I evangelised to anyone who would listen about how great a product it was.
I bought a replacement in February but no matter how hard I cleaned or with what product there was a vile 'plastic' taste that would not go away.
They were quick to advise me that no refund was possible but this was the last time they were quick to do anything.
After several weeks of glacial emails I finally got a return label from them - a month of chasing followed after which they informed me that the parcel wasn't collected. Spoilers: It absolutely was.
Red flag should have been that the return address was a 'Big yellow' storage company.
I now have no kettle, no refund, and no hope of ever receiving either.
Do not buy from this company
Do not buy from this company. kettle faulty, still waiting repair or replacement. Ongoing for several months. No customer support number. Don’t reply to emails. AVOID!

Have had a smart kettle for 4 years.. first one was fine until the lid mechanism stopped working. Stupidly I thought oh well I will get another one. Paid £129 in October by January 25 lid release not working I have been contacting via their support email where they first offered me a replacement kettle but said they were checking stock levels. Over a period of now 6 weeks I have had to chase constantly and at present they are now saying they want me to return the kettle to repair! I stated how inconvenient this would be and unacceptable for a high end and priced product with warranty. They still have not sent collection labels or updated me. They have admitted on one email a recognised fault with the lid release mechanism so why are they not recalling the product. No phone number to contact them. Can’t find a customer phone number for them anywhere. I didn’t look at reviews when purchasing second kettle as was happy with first one bought as a gift. I have now reported the company to trading standings. This is why we should buy from shops and not on line. Very annoyed with myself and this dreadful company. Do not purchase from this company.
Expect to renew your ikettle regularly if purchasing the ikettle
So I previously bought the kettle in 2020, great while it worked, lasted just over 2yrs, decided to buy another and sadly this kettle only lasted 1.5yrs, at £100+ per kettle I would expect it to last, I contacted them as the 2nd kettle had a 2yr warranty, customer service got back to me washing their hands of doing anything, referred me to the original seller, which was Amazon, to be fair Amazon were very helpful. I have decided to steer clear of Smarter as i don't find them to be very smart in their products and their customer service was not very smart, they only made my blood boil which is more than i can say about their ikettle boiling anything.

It doesn't work with Alexa as stated in there adverts and customer service is non existing, emails are ignored and there is no contact phone number for customer service. They just want your money under false advertising. It ends up a very expensive basic kettle.

After finally getting new kettle sent our taste was still the same , sent new kettle back for a refund (which was promised) no reply on email 4 weeks later and no refund recieved terrible customer service
Cute design but functionality is bad
Have had the iKettle for about 5 years. Here is my take:
1. Seems to overboil - the faulty design means it also gets extremely hot at the top
2. The design is sleek and nice. Kettle has “stayed in shape”
3. The app is extremely user unfriendly
4. So is the customer service
5. The functionalities of the app are less than smart, ironically (e.g., alarm has to be set anew every day)
6. Alexa integration is not seamless
Overall: looks cute but there are probably better solutions out there if you want to be able to set the temperature of the boil and set it on auto-boil mode (ie alarm). Do not recommend.
STAY CLEAR TCP!
STAY CLEAR. Bought this very expensive kettle as I was having a baby and could do with the extra help of hey siri or being able to put timers in….long story short kettle tastes like tcp. Has done this from the start. Comes and goes…. I even bought a miniature kettle that boils only one cup to check the water….the mini kettle never tastes of tcp. Just the disgusting ikettle! Asked smarter to replaced. They’ve refused. Not out of warranty. Just I haven’t the receipt….. although the serial number could be traced to show the are of sale! Kettle cost me £130, guys buy a different brand. One that doesn’t use cheap plastic parts in a kettle way beyond reasonable price. Also the customer service is soooooooo bad you have better luck talking to a chatbot online than the actual people from this disastrous company. I will be buying a weekit kettle in January. Very sad that you’ve left a baby with no kettle to make formula. Shame on you.

After some time, a new person having been brought in to sort out their customer service, I finally have my refund. Great machine😊
Customer service is awful
Customer service is awful! They do not answer the phone. Email conversations go round in circles. My device does not connect to my wifi - I have tried absolutely everything and they will not give me contact details for Head of Operations despite this being outlined on their website as to how one escalates a complaint. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
Does not work with google home and non responsive customer service.
I placed the order over the holidays (end Dec) as my existing wifi kettle is on the blink. This kettle does not work with google home despite following all the instructions. I do not want to wake up in the morning and use their app but use voice to put the kettle on which my current kettle. I want to return it and have requested a return label. No response. There is no other way to contact them. I want to return and want my refund. Maybe writing here will make them respond to my emails
Smarter ikettle is a piece of junk.
My ikettle lid doesn't open without prying it open. I live overseas and to return it is a big hastlee. I sent in email which till today has gone unanswered. Unbelievable! In the end Amazon was great and gave me a full refund. And in the meantime the lid has warped and now pops open all the time. Cheap lousy kettle with no customer service to turn to.

Bought the limited edition kettle in June this year and there was a funny taste to the water, despite trying multiple things to clean it etc. was eventually asked to return the kettle for an exchange, which I did and they contacted me to say the limited edition is now out of stock until next year and they’ve now stopped responding! Appalling customer service. I’m now without a replacement or a refund! This was my 3rd kettle from them over the years but never again!!!

I bought this coffee machine from smarter and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! The customer service was exceptional ad all my questions were answered promptly and I was even provided helpful tips for using the machine.
As a coffee enthusiast, the convenience it adds to my morning routine is a gamechanger. It's clear they've put some thought into their products.
One area of improvement though is expanding their range of accessories and replacement parts. Other than that, highly recommended and I'm looking forward to exploring their next generation of products in the future!
