Good communication - when they were coming. Quick and efficient - the engineer Tom Davies was knowledgeable and respectful.
When a change of date was needed the company were very helpful and organised the switch well. James Peter was very helpful throughout the whole process.

Quick to arrange our boiler service when requested. They followed up to provide the electronic gas test certificate. Note: Customers should be aware that SmartCover do NOT proactively contact you regarding the service; you need to call them to arrange, but once done it appears to be efficient.

Fully five months into my insurance…
Fully five months into my insurance cover I request a free service to check on boiler system before colder weather sets in. Engineers discover my central heating has stopped working correctly. As this was a service and not a breakdown call out I have to privately fund repairs. Absolutely no inch given by Smart Cover to mitigate costs.

The annual boiler service and breakdown cover are separate aspects of the policy, and any repair requirements identified during a routine service are subject to the applicable policy terms. In this instance, we applied the policy wording as provided and were therefore unable to contribute towards the repair costs identified during the service.
We understand that this may not have been the outcome you were hoping for, but our responsibility is to assess and handle claims consistently and in line with the cover provided.
