As a sexual health professional I support regular testing. Clients and myself have spoken of feeling that the service is safe and supportive and offers great advice in a non shaming way.
Tests are sent expediently and service users are informed at each stage of the process.
This service is part of our NHS and I value it highly.
Ignorance is not bliss, so test, test and test again to safeguard yourself and others.

This is the only service that I have been using for years and only one I trust and love. It’s so easy to order, discreet and really fast.
Fantastic service that could be improved by reviewing bureaucracy
Overall this is a fantastic service that is generally reliable, professional and sensitive.
One problem I had recently though is that when my medication arrived the label was stuck on in away that made it unclear to read and no other instructions had been supplied via messages through the service. I should have taken the time to check everything properly so this is partly my fault but it could have been avoided with clearer instructions. After realising my mistake and being told I need to take another course of treatment, bureaucracy kicked in and made things difficult. The text service advised me to contact the SHL nurses so I both emailed initially. The email bounce back said I could call but the number put me through to an administrator who could not help and advised I await a reply to my email. This was answered quickly later that morning with a call but this did not go well. Firstly it was stressed that I should not pass on my medication to others which I understand is important but it still created the impression that they thought I was being untruthful about not having take the course correctly. Then I was told they would send another batch of tablets by it would take 7 days. This was frustrating because after my initial diagnosis the medication was sent next day. I had a positive diagnosis just one week earlier but was told that because my request for medication was not coming from the initial test then it wouldn’t be prioritised. This seems unreasonable. I was told I could but the medication myself online I fortunately I am in a position to do this. However the external service that was recommended promised next day delivery and I am still awaiting the medication 2 days later. I suffer from anxiety and depression and this has been very difficult to get through. It could have been avoided with some adjustments to the service. Firstly not just sending the medication but sending a message with instructions as part of the service. Secondly reconsidering the process whereby if there has been a problem with the initial prescription, it’s responded to with the same urgency as the initial test results.
All that aside, this is generally a fantastic service that does a lot of good for countless people.
