Shipped car FL to NY. Great price, great service!
Great experience shipping my car from FL to NY! I found SGT through an online search and chose them because their pricing was very competitive. I wasn’t expecting the above and beyond service. They had to pick up the car in a gated community in FL where my 86 year old parents live. The gate wouldn’t allow their big carrier truck in, so the driver got out, walked to their house, drove the car back and loaded it on the truck. He delivered it right on schedule. I got alerts all along the way letting me know pickup time, status and arrival time. When the driver arrived to drop it off, he was friendly and patient and had everything ready for us. I would definitely use them again

I contacted several car transport companies and SGT confirmed that my 54 year old car would be picked up and delivered without being unloaded and reloaded. My car was picked up the next day as promised and was delivered by the same excellent driver 2 days later. A good price and excellent service means I will use SGT for my next car transport. It was a perfect experience and I couldn't be happier that my car arrived in perfect shape.

My experience with SGT auto transport
I had a very good experience with SGT auto transport. I had a vehicle shipped from CA to MA and it only took 5 days from pickup to arrival. The driver, Ismet, was very professional and the vehicle arrived in the same condition in MA that it had left in in CA. I needed information after the delivery and Felix was very helpful with a prompt reply. I think this is a good company to deal with.

Follow-up to my previous review
I wrote a detaled review a few weeks ago about my experience with SGT and their inability to fulfill their obligation: pick up my care in the window they gave me. Because I was left with no other option I had to find another company and they hit me with the "cancellation fee" because I was forced to find another carrier.
Here is where it gets great: SGT called me and said that if i removed my negative review they would refund me the money!. That's the kind of company they are. When things work out like in the past when I used them, they were good. When things do not work out you realize what kind of cmpany they are.

The cancellation of your order occurred while during your pickup window and your shipment was also engaged with another broker. As outlined in Point 1(j) of the signed agreement, double-booking can disrupt negotiations with carriers, create uncertainty in the marketplace, and result in delays and increased costs. SGT had already invested time and resources into arranging transportation options on your behalf. As outlined in the Customer Shipping Contract you signed, certain cancellation circumstances may result in an applicable cancellation fee. This fee is not a penalty, but rather a contractual charge intended to account for the administrative costs and resources involved when a shipment is cancelled after work has already been performed.
No customer is obligated to use our services, and we respect a customer’s decision if they choose not to proceed. However, once a customer engages our services, utilizes our resources, and agrees to the terms of the contract, the applicable contractual obligations remain in place.
Additionally, the dispute was further complicated when a chargeback was submitted despite the signed agreement containing provisions regarding credit card disputes and chargebacks. Our team made efforts to address the situation and work toward a resolution in good faith, but the actions taken were inconsistent with the terms agreed upon.
We understand that not every transport experience goes exactly as expected, and we take customer concerns seriously. However, it is important to recognize that SGT followed the agreed process, provided available options, and acted within the terms of the signed agreement. We remain committed to handling all customer matters professionally and transparently.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. I would not recommend SGT Auto Transport.
We were shipping our daughter's car from the East Coast to Nevada because she is moving there for school. Our plan was to have the car delivered while we were staying in Nevada for a week to help her get settled.
Originally, we wanted to schedule the pickup on Wednesday, but the SGT representative strongly recommended Thursday instead, saying it would better fit our schedule. We trusted his professional advice.
That turned out to be a huge mistake.
On the scheduled pickup date, no driver showed up. I had to contact SGT myself and waited for hours before being told that the driver could not make it at all. They were unable to arrange another pickup until the following Monday—the very day we were flying to Nevada. Ironically, the representative had previously told us there was "very, very little chance—close to zero" that a Monday pickup would be needed.
Because of their poor recommendation and failure to honor the scheduled pickup, we could no longer have the car delivered while we were in Nevada. As a result, we had to purchase another car there and were unable to ship many of the items we had planned to send with our daughter's vehicle.
To make matters worse, SGT refused to take responsibility for what happened and still charged us a $199 cancellation fee. Their customer service was also extremely frustrating. Their phone system was down, so the only way to reach them was through live chat while waiting for someone to call back.
We trusted their advice because they are supposed to be the experts. Most people don't ship cars regularly, so naturally we relied on their recommendations. Instead, their poor guidance disrupted our plans, cost us a significant amount of money, and created unnecessary stress during an important family move.
This company was unreliable, unprofessional, and unwilling to take responsibility for its mistakes. We deeply regret trusting their recommendation and would not use their service again. I will give zero star if I can.

We had a very good experience with SGT. We had a very tight timeframe and I was very anxious about it but SGT Live Chat was very responsive. They kept us informed and it all worked well. Our driver was really good and communicative. I think the main thing you want is to have good communication and we had that with SGT. This is the second time we have used them.

Another bait and switch, Don't do it!
Signed up with them to ship my vehicle based on their quote of $1288. The person on the phone guaranteed me 3 times, "THE PRICE WON'T CHANGE," his exact words. After I filled in the credit card info and submitted it, the same day I received a text from them stating We have an option for your contact us. When I tried calling back, their phones were down. I tried all of their different #s: 218 304 6101, 917 818 2918, 864 546-5038, 864 210 1797, 866 777 6570, 727 513 8442, and all of them had the same message: "Our support lines are down..." With so many phone numbers, you'd think one of them would work. Nope. This was a huge red flag. When I finally did get in touch with someone, I was surprised and said, "Oh, your phones are working?" and the foreign woman responded, "Obviously." So rude. Anyways, they said the reason they called me is that they have a truck ready to ship my car next week! I said no, thank you; my window was tomorrow and the next couple of days. He said we will keep looking. Day 2, they called me and said we found a driver; he can pick up, but he wants $1450! I am trying to cancel my shipment, but guess what?! Phones are down again today. Good luck finding someone; this has been the worst experience of my life. I am going to fly and get my own vehicle.
Your reply that "While we experienced a temporary phone system interruption, we are still fully available through email and live chat and continue to respond to customer requests as promptly as possible." Let your customers know when this has been resolved.
Response to their response: Notice they don't mention their phone numbers being worked on since they are "down." Don't deal with this company they are cheaters and scammers IMO.

Scammers and cheats!
They quoted me a price of $1875 to ship my car from South Florida to Nebraska. Then they told me they couldn't make the three day pickup window. Then they told me it would now cost $2200.00. This is AFTER I already signed a contract with them. Then they told me my car would be the only one on the truck...but my delivery was delayed a day because the driver en route was delayed while delivering ANOTHER CAR. And the driver didn't speak English and showed up to the dealership to pick my car up with an expired registration! These guys are scammers and cheats and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Acceptance of any revised pricing is always optional, and customers are never obligated to proceed with an updated offer.
Regarding your concerns about the transport itself, even our premium service does not guarantee that a vehicle will be the only unit being transported on a carrier. Auto transport carriers typically operate multi-vehicle trailers, and we will further investigate where this misunderstanding may have originated to ensure expectations are communicated clearly.
We also apologize for any delivery delay you experienced. While carriers strive to meet estimated delivery schedules, factors such as traffic, weather, road conditions, and other scheduled deliveries can occasionally impact transit times.

I signed a contract with SGT, they did not honor it.
I signed a contract with SGT to transport my vehicle. The vehicle was damaged in transport and they relinquished responsibility to a 3rd party transportation company and said they could not help me. They told me to take it up with the 3rd party .. a party I have no contract with. I asked SGT before signing the contract if they had insurance for any damages in transit and they stated "yes" they do. Then they claimed no responsibility and said it was all on the 3rd party. Also, they forgo'd payment, which in our contract said 50/50 payment to the 3rd party without notification. It became 100% CoD.

As outlined in the signed Customer Shipping Contract, SGT Auto Transport acts as a licensed broker and all vehicles are transported by fully insured third-party carriers. Cargo insurance coverage is provided by the assigned carrier, as clearly disclosed in the agreement. In the event of a claim, our claims team remains available to assist customers in communicating with the carrier’s insurance provider and facilitating the process.
Regarding payment terms, there was no 50/50 payment arrangement applicable to this shipment. Payment was processed in accordance with the agreed contractual terms and the selected service option at the time of booking.
Our claims team did engage in an effort to assist in reviewing the reported concern; however, it was also noted that the item in question was reported as loose and unsecured at the time of transport, which is an important factor in the assessment of responsibility under carrier insurance guidelines.
We understand that damage concerns are frustrating, and we remain committed to supporting customers through the carrier claims process within the scope of our role as a transportation broker.
Pickup delays
The driver was assigned Monday, he said he would pick up on Tuesday, we waited. Then he said he would pick up on Wednesday. We cancelled other appointments and waited. No driver. On Thursday he picked up late afternoon. He said that he was an independent contractor and the reason for delay was because the company simply did not send him the paperwork although he kept asking for it.
