I was a bit unsure when I read the mixed reviews but thought I’d give it a try and am very glad I have! I don’t understand the issues people have had with the lathering or making hair feel sticky or like straw because for me it makes my hair feel soft and nourished.
The shampoo feels rich when lathering. The conditioner is less so but when my hair has dry it’s soft and very clean feeling without feeling stripped by harsh chemicals.
I would like a bit more of a nice smell as it’s not very scented but it’s a small point and better than fake scents.
For someone in their 60s with thinning grey older hair it’s great and I really like the ethics which is what drew me to try it in the first place.

So many times, even with the most expensive shampoos and conditioners - or even your regular shampoos - your hair just has a bad day. I can genuinely say this will never happen with Selkie. Easy to use shampoo and conditioner, although I don't use conditioner every wash. Hair is soft and manageable.

Absolutely love the shampoo and conditioner, they have made such a difference to my hair . I have my roots coloured every 5-6 weeks and feel my hair was losing its life , shine and smoothness . Having used Selkie both products just 3 times now it has made such a difference 10/10 well pleased no turning back to other products now for me .🥰

Love this shampoo. No waste, easy to prepare. Great for your hair and great for the environment. Be prepared for not so many bubbles, that's because there's no nasty chemicals to make it foam. My highlights are brighter and last longer. Highly recommend this shampoo.

I love this shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels softer and looks shinier than it has for years and I love that it’s better for the environment too. It is expensive but worth it.

When I first started using it I was very unsure. I used a lot of shampoo to wash my hair as it doesn’t lather and just didn’t feel like it was washing my hair, and once I’d finished conditioning my hair it felt very tangly and it was almost impossible to run my fingers through my wet hair. BUT once my hair is dry it is gorgeously soft and feels very clean. It just takes some patience while you adjust to it. I nearly gave up after a couple of washes but the customer service team were brilliant and inspired me to give it a further try. I’m so glad I did!

I've been using this new for afew weeks, but after 2/3weeks I visited my hairdresser,and she made a lovely comment, saying what ever your useing on your hair keep useing it as its such good condition best I've seen your hair in a long time,she's now asked for the name of it and has orderd herself some,can't get better than that I'm well chuffed.

Been using this for 3 weeks now. Its so simple to make up with tap water and turns into a lovely thick shampoo, that lathers well. My hair feels clean and nourished. And I feels more healthy now than when I used suphate shampoos

Great quality , leaves hair feeling soft and silky . Large volume enabling both my husband and I to use frequently.
