Exclusive Secure Care Services is a company that prides itself on mental health and staff well-being. This could not be more wrong and opposite. As for serious matters, they're sensitive and compassionate, unless you're taking more than a day or two off. Even then, you're messaged every single day and the only care is coming back to work, not actually about you and your well-being.
If you're ready to be criticised for everything you do and be spoken to like you're no more than dirt on the floor, then this may be the job for you.
Hours vary, but for support workers conducting transports, days can be 18-22 hours long, and you're still expected to not be tired and continue working on minimal sleep. In the office, it's a horrible environment due to management. The staff who are in normal every day roles are excellent. They try their best to do what they can, and bring such positive vibe, even on days they don't feel it. However, if you voice any concern over how you're being treated, or how your job is going, you then get made to feel extremely small and you get dismissed by being spoken over and interrupted, even when they ask for your opinion to "better" things.
In the control room, working "on call" is 00:00 - 06:00, on top of your normal work day, and then 48 hours on call (all weekend). It is more work from home than on call. You can be busy for 3 hours a day, or have absolutely none of your weekend because you're working. You're tired from calls through the night, but don't tell them you're tired because they do not care.
The office manager, T.O., is rude and disrespectful, speaking to you as though you're insignificant and brainless. The bosses seem to only care for profits, not wellbeing. They make issue groups for everything you do, even if you're not at fault.
They do not have your back, and ultimately, they will ensure you take the fall for stuff, even if you are blatantly not in the wrong. You get spoken to sarcastically even when asking questions, and you get made to feel like you're stupid for even asking. I have seen staff leave because they were pushed over the edge one time too many, and this is probably why their staff retention is horrendous.
In the control room, they have had probably around 10 people leave this year due to various reasons, but often the common denominator is the environment/mistreatment. There is only one member of staff out of probation now (3 months), which says it all. Nobody has been there more than 4 months because they simply cannot keep staff. They have been told why, but they really couldn't care less! On conveyance, they have also lost so many staff due to the same reasons.
Some of the people working there are excellent. Some really do care, but over all, you're just a number and they don't care if you go or stay. If you do voice a concern about mistreatment, they are sly and they will make it 10x worse whilst keeping in professional boundaries. This is how they get away with it.
You're expected, as a new starter, to know everything immediately within a week, and if you're struggling to keep on board, you're criticised, not supported. I cannot even comprehend some of the things I have seen since working there about how they treat staff. Not only this, but you can expect to work alone and be bombarded with knowledge in your first two weeks. Oh yeah... and what proper training plan?
Management LOVE to talk about staff with the others. This isn't in a positive way either. For example, if you've taken a day off for your mental health due to how you've been treated, it's discussed without you present among the staff you work with and made sure you're not included in the conversation because it's not okay for you to take a day off for that. Now, i understand from a company perspective about sick days, but you cannot surely say you're a company who is all about mental health if you don't actually support staff. HR is the only one who made it seem like you were supported, and they were only doing their job.
I really do not recommend anyone going for a job here. You're over worked, and your well being is not even on the list of priorities.

Interesting approach to recruiting staff.
I applied to work for this company back in 2023 after filling all the paperwork requested I waited 3 months for a dbs and nothing happened so I took a job elsewhere. They then asked me to pay their recruitment costs citing I had agreed to this during the application process regardless of wether I got a job offer or not(pull the other one) they never provided any evidence of this. They decided to try their luck in court wasting more money and the courts and my time. And almost a year later didn’t bother to file the evidence requested by the court ! Because it didn’t exist ! I’m still trying to figure out what their game was but it didn’t work !
Jamal and Adefowope were very pleasant throughout the day. They assisted staff with cares and a shave. They ensured the person they were looking after was provided and encouraged with drinks. They were able to talk to him in a gentle manner and 'have a laugh' with him. He remained settled all day. Thank you.
