Never received the item. Avoid

If I could give this company 0 I would. The Perpetual Calendar I ordered is cheap, nasty and not made of wood. I paid £38.99 for it; the exact same thing is on Temu for £8.99. When it arrived it was smothered in Chinese characters and anything but British.
And forget about returns or science gifts U.K.
The item has to be sent back to France with tracking at my own expense. When it arrives I can ask for a refund of the calendar but not the postage.
What a scam this company is running.

I’m hoping some of the recent reviews are not as bad as they sound. I ordered a jellyfish lava lamp for my daughter as it helps with her sensory needs. Was told that orders are despatched within 24/48 hours of order.
A week later and still can’t get an answer from them.
If it is a scam site they have until the end of the week to confirm a tracking number or I will be retracting the payment under the consumer law act

Had to chase for order, was told it was because they were switching warehouses. It was a £65 product that has a shipping label from somewhere else attached that won't peel off and the writing on the box is in Chinese.

Given up waiting after 5 weeks. I think they ship their products from Mars. Have asked for a refund but no reply. This site is probably a scam.

There was a defect in the product I purchased. The after-sales service worked very well. Science Gifts was very professional and courteous about the exchange. Thanks to them.

Absolutely horrendous company. I ordered and paid almost £40 for a calendar. Money taken immediately and yet when I hadn’t heard anything after 6 days, was told 8-15 working days delivery. After 13 days, I contacted again. I was told their warehouse had moved and this caused a delay. I was given a tracking number. When I tracked the parcel, I could see it was in China! Under the impression that, having ordered in a co.uk website, I assumed the goods were coming from the Uk??
When I looked 3 days later, it was STILL in China. I requested a refund and was told it was not possible as items were dispatched and I’d have to wait for it to arrive when I could then return (at a cost to me) and request a refund.
I contacted ‘customer services’ (I use thus word loosely because they definitely do NOT care), I insisted a refund as I was not prepared to wait any longer. I mentioned I would seek legal advice, and li and behold, I got a curt reply saying they would refund me.
Some 6 days later the money hit my bank account.

Gift purchased in early Jan and was issued with an order number. Time banding on delivery was too wide, followed up with request for more information 3 weeks later. Was told that delivery would now be "by the end of Feb".
When threatened with a Paypal complaint they stated that they "have had a relocation of the logistics warehouse which has caused shipping delays" and refunded my order.

Ordered £45 worth of science gifts for my son’s 18th birthday in mid Feb 2025. Goods ordered start of January in plenty of time. Despite email explaining good on the way the next day post order, then another two weeks later. I received nothing !!! Asked for my money back and there was no quibble, money returned.

This company is masquerading as a UK based company. Do not be fooled, their items are dispatched from China. I ordered gifts for Christmas on November 30th. Chased them up on December 17th, and finally received my items on the 22nd. When they did (finally) arrive I was appalled by the contents of the box I received.

I paid £50 for (what looked like) a beautiful storm glass, and almost £15 for a mirrored puzzle cube thing.

When I opened the box, I was greeted with one of the worst smells my nose has ever had the misfortune of encountering. The box containing the (£50) storm glass had obviously been wet at some point, or been stored in a damp and dirty environment, as it smelled like a 16th century cottage with a leak and a rising damp problem. Bearing in mind, that this was supposed to be a gift. I then opened the box to find clearly ancient polystyrene, which had aged so much, it was breaking into snow inside the box. The smell intensified the more I took out of the box. I then removed the storm glass from the box to examine it. It's just tat. The storm glass itself is worth £15 at most in the current market, and even at that, the quality would probably warrant a lower price point than even that. There is a massive plastic plug in the glass, and the 'stand' that it came with, is a tiny square of wood (which by the way, was also repugnantly smelly). No details, no embossed logo, or a nice finish etc, just a tiny square of untreated beechwood or something similar.

To add some context, this gift was for my brother in law. We suddenly lost my husbands mum to a brain aneurysm this year, she was only 57. She aaaaallllways made sure that everyone had gifts relating to their passions and interests, and this year, being the first year without her, I wanted to somewhat 'fill' that gap on Christmas morning. To gift the abomination that arrived in my house (after a month of waiting) would be an insult and an embarrassment, so needless to say I didn't!

I then had to navigate the good old high street 2 days before Christmas to (re)buy gifts, which I was already out of pocket for.

Do not support this company, they are defrauding their customers on the basis of their warehouse location, and the quality of their products.

If you're tempted to buy something from this website, just copy and paste the item description into Google and buy it from somewhere else (for probably a third of the price and faster delivery).

Companies like this one give good, honest merchants a bad name.

If I could rate zero stars, I certainly would.

Avoid like the plague.

Terrible customer service and they trick you into thinking they are local but products come from China or USA so can take weeks to arrive.
Avoid buying from here.
Very disappointing as I was wanting to support alternative local companies but alas that was not the case.

Should have looked at Trustpilot reviews before buying. I ordered 2 items on 4 December and they've still not arrived and the tracking information says 23-28Dec now which will be too late. The website which has a co.uk address said the items were in stock and would be shipped within 48hrs so I naively thought they'd be here by mid December. Hadn't reckoned they would be shipped from China. I could kick myself for being so dumb. Having had difficulty contacting them by email I did finally get through and received a response in a reasonable time, so we'll see what happens. I still think it's misleading to have a UK email address and imply that goods will be despatched within 48hrs but not state that they might be shipped from outside the UK.

Well the items arrived on Christmas Eve, so I was relieved about that, especially as I'd had a revised estimated date of delivery of 5th January.The lamps are not quite as impressive as they looked in the online brochure but are probably in line with their cost. I would still advise caution about buying from this Company as you need to factor in several weeks for delivery.

This company is not from the UK, it's based in the USA. I was looking for a local company. The delivery took about 3-4 weeks as it seems to have come from China. All the packaging is in Chinese, so you can't read what's on the box. I was able to find the exact same item for under a tenner on another website.

Unclear delivery timelines (they promote shipping within 48hrs, but don't make it obvious that delivery will take upwards of 2 weeks).
Delivery is now even later than that ... 18-20 days still and I ordered 5 working days ago.
Rubbish. Avoid.

Nothing arrived yet, not sure it’s a real company, I’m really annoyed that I’ve probably been scammed. Really hard to contact anyone real

Should have read the Trustpilot reviews before buying from these people.
Website looks great with lots of science gifts but in reality the products are cheap and nasty and took more than three weeks to be delivered via Amazon Shipping but with no accurate delivery date.
One item had parts missing but when I read the returns policy only broken products will be returned free of charge. Anything you change your mind on you need to ship back (to where?) at your own cost.

Don’t buy from here. The product that arrived cost £53, it’s not much bigger than a domino and have the impression on the website of being the size of a lunch box. Returns site doesn’t work. No confirmation of what I ordered on my email. Do not buy.

Paid an extreme amount for a cheap-ass item that can be found identically on Temu or any other Chinese website! Cheap quality & a scam!

Website says UK, shipping info on the website says USA, my package says delivered from my own country and the retour must be shipped to France?!?! Make it make sense.

Not to mention, if I want my refund, I have to send the item (weighing 0.05 kg) back to France to an address not confirmed on google, costing me half of what I paid!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!!!

Ordered five items still waiting for delivery, wish I'd read the reviews.
