DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM Science-Gifts.co.uk. They are con artists. I purchased a Tesla coil for my son as a Christmas gift at the beginning of December. It did not arrive until after Christmas although that is a side issue. The Tesla coil comes with a non-UK plug (which is not advertised on their website) and does not work (even with a power adaptor). I have now been corresponding with the customer service team for over a month to get my money back and they are refusing to refund me, only offering a 20% refund. They argue that I am using the wrong power adapter even though I have sent them videos showing the power adapter works. Also, their return address is in FRANCE which is not advertised on their website and they only tell you, reluctantly, after you have questioned them. BE WARNED, DO NOT USE!

Total scam- items never arrived. Sent a picture of a random hand holding a parcel in the dark as "proof of delivery"- weirdly my bank account got hacked two days later that I used to pay with.....maybe coincidence?? Be very very wary of this company.
Their phone numbers dont work, registered in US yet masquerade as a UK company. The supposed comopany is registered as the following which probably says it all: "Elysium Compagny (SIC) sons of pirat"

Science Gifts is a total scam. I orderd a gift for my son weeks ago and it still hasnt arrived. Emails get no reply and they offer useless excuses. Tried to get a refund and they just ignore you. Cheap, low quality items and shipping takes forever. Dont waste your money with this company....

Ordered before Christmas, email from the company assured it would arrive before Christmas, not heard anything from them now since 26th December. Still not arrived one month later. Luckily I read the reviews here on Trustpilot with enough time before Christmas to order the gift from a more reputable company. The emails I have received from science gift indicate that it is a scam company as it lacks basic information that other companies add to their emails. Do not use

Ordered a gift for Christmas for my son over a month ago and still waiting for it. They've replied to my emails refusing to refund me as its 'being processed' but is yet yo leave any warehouse. Obviously a scam,never use again!

Shame I can't give 0 stars! What a shocking company, trying to offer me a 5% refund for an order I requested a full refund for. Meaning I would have got a £4 refund on an over £20 item. No responses from them via email or telephone. I will have to take matters further if I continue to not hear back from them. TOTAL SCAM!

Awful company stay clear, trying everything in the book to not give a refund. I bought a glass prism expecting an ornament size and it's the size of an oxo cube, terrible customer service now they want me to return it to France when it was clearly shipped from inside the uk as it does not have Uk on the postage label it arrived in!

Assured gifts would arrive before Christmas, my order was still in the process status after 3 days after Christmas so I requested a refund through email, I was sent on a goose chase told to contact another department of the same company that never answered. The order finally came in January, I ordered ordered 2 solar planet car air fresheners that don't work and couple poorly made puzzles that you'd be disappointed if you got out a kids lucky bag. If your reading the reviews your luckier than my dumb ass.

Very bad communication over email, refused to refund me even though I was within my rights to cancel the order as it hadn't been despatched. If you can avoid I would.

I would give these shysters ZERO stars if I could. Don't be fooled by the glossy website, they are selling pure chinesium, cross shipped from God knows where. Late, overpriced, arrived in dribs n drabs, poor quality garbage. I don't often get conned but these A**holes stiched me up like a kipper; you live and learn. You have been warned, ne-touche-pas!

Here's the game -

Go to Science Gifts and fill your basket with 6 random items, ranging in price from around £5 each to £50 each.

Take the 'loss insurance', expedited delivery and take note of the total.

Then, go to Temu, Aliexpress, Wish or any similar site dependant upon Chinese exploitation, and match your basket with the exact same items (I guarantee you will find the Science Gift items there).

The amount you would be charged on the Chinese sites is what SG are paying - they simply act as a 3rd party and use your address as the shipping address.

The difference between the totals is their profit.

In addition, the quality of each item is truly dire, as can be expected for cheap Chinese goods, and the safety of the items simply cannot be guaranteed.

Expedited delivery is not expedited at all.

The 'customer service' rep uses an AI image for their PFP. Just like all legit companies do.

You gain nothing by using this site. You won't get good quality goods, you won't get the order faster, and all you're really doing is lining their pockets.

Don't fall for the slick site. These guys are grifters and I await their downfall with undisguised glee.

I made the mistake of ordering when I was tired and stressed, and I thought I had checked Trustpilot when in fact I had not. Don't be me.
