To be honest I have not used them yet. I would like to know will the knives will ever need sharpening etc and can use them on a wooden cutting board? That is why I have not used them yet because I am little nervous about using them on a cutting board. They are special to me and I definitely do not want to ruin them.

They are everything I hoped for. Beautifully crafted, water resistant, amazingly easy to handle. They cut through solid vegetables almost like soft cheese or butter. I've recommended them to another family and have purchased a second set as a Christmas gift for someone special. From one artist to another, I can certainly experience and feel the artistic love and care these knives have been created with.

Nicely made, looks magnificent and soft touch gets the job done.

Even though the box that the knives were shipped in had obviously been battered, the knives arrived intact. They are pleasing to look at and are very sharp. They are by a very wide margin the best cooking knives I have ever held.

Upon returning from Japan and visiting a knife store in that country I was highly impressed. When it came time and I saw the article regarding these knives from a man that's been in the business for over 50 years I couldn't help but the jump at it. Since we've had the knife to handle nice, easy to use and even though your hands may be slippery or wet they start firmly in your hand as you're using it. I have every intention of purchasing my daughter and my son-in-law a set of these knives in the near future. I think the quality is excellent clone with the sharpness all in all these knives exceeded my expectation.

Knives are sharp, well balanced and versatile. Was surprised the shipped from China and not the US but they are as advertised.

My wife is delighted with the purple handled knife set I bought her. Every knife has seen some use but all are wonderful. She started with the smallest knife and progressed from there. In no time I was carving roast beef with one and was amazed by the precision slices I was getting. She also loves the vegetable knife, perfect for chopping. Very nice product at a very nice price. Heavier and a bit more robust than my Shun. I told a couple other people about these knives and they purchased sets and are very happy with their knives as well.
