I bought these for a Christmas gift, so I'll have to send you a review as time goes on. Personally I can barely wait to try them! For now, they are simply gorgeous.

They slice through everything effortlessly. Even my finger, but that is MY fault. I feel I could go back to the Ginsu knife days and slice an aluminum can and then immediately effortlessly slice a tomato. Love these!

Beautiful and well made not too heavy but very comfortable to use

Very professional.
The handles are a little too slippery...
so, gripping them could be improved if there was textured and/or contoured surfaces.

Just buy the knife set you will not be disappointed. Don't quibble. Your kitchen will look better for it, you will be safer, enjoy.

These knives are incredibly light. The box of them weighed just over my original chef knife.

Sharpness is wonderful - especially for items like tomatoes.

Slowly going through all the recipes from Sakura - all delicious and a great introduction into using which knife for which purpose.

Wonderful knife definitely a pleasure to work with. The handle could use some texture for a better grip but I can deal with it.

Knives arrived as advertised, very sharp edge and sharp looking. I wish there was an option for sheathes to protect them in drawers.

I did not receive any information with my knives regarding care or sharpening. Should there have been some information with the knives?

The delivery was great. The packaging was awesum!
But using them is the best!!

the knife blade is good, but it is not perfect. The knife handle has a small crack and it was shipped in just a plastic wrap instead of a box as shown on the web site.

But with the price discount for end of production, I consider it to be acceptable, I wish that it would have been mentioned on the site.

I was a always a fan of Japanese cutlery. The high standards that they keep, is what I was after.
After the first purchase and usage of the first set if knives, I was sold and ordered a second set.
These knives are of high quality and you won't be dissapointed.

I wanted another chef's knife so I ordered the 8" Takumi series knife. The price and ordering process was quick and easy. It took about 2½ weeks before I received it, probably because it had to clear customs first. The knife itself is well made and very sharp. I thought there would be a little more heft to it but it's lighter than my Zwilling chef knife. But, it's still a very good knife.
