I booked in for a full head of highlights on Saturday 6th September at 9am at Wimbledon Broadway. I’ve never had an issue with salon before, but this was my first time with stylist Lois. You can imagine my disappointment leaving the salon on Saturday feeling like my hair looked exactly the same as it did when I walked in, except this time I was £170 worse off).
I booked an early appointment at 9 am as I had to be at a wedding for 3pm, and I knew I would be short for time. I only wanted my highlights done which I clearly stated in my initial booking.
On the Friday, I was called by the team and asked: “did I want to add a toner to my booking?” I was asked twice, to which I clearly said “no” because I knew it would be short for time, and hadn’t budgeted for this. Lois was quite rough when she washed my hair and brushed my hair. It was uncomfortable and painful, and I was worried it would damage my hair as you shouldn’t brush it so hard when it’s wet. I was also surprised to be charged for a toner. Lois didn’t ask me if I wanted this treatment, it was told to me “I am going to bring over the toner shades now”, as if it were all part of my current service.
I had already declined Olaplex (of course, who pays £30 treatment when the entire bottle is the same price?). As a blonde, I understand the importance of toner to make the colour look good. I don’t mind paying it, but PLEASE be more transparent with clients about what you’re charging, and that this will add on another 25 minutes to the booking! So now I had to wait another half an hour for the ‘colour’ to set.
When it was finally done we looked at it together. I pointed out that the colour still looks dark? To which Lois told me “it’s wet”. Yes, I could see that. I could also see there were no added highlights to my hair!
Oddly enough, at the start she took a ‘before’ photo to which I eagerly agreed. No ‘after’ was taken - clearly there was no obvious transformation, to which I completely agree.
I left the salon in a rush because I was really short for time at this point but I was super disappointed that my hair looks exactly the same.
There is no real colour change and I’m £167.00 out of pocket - utterly disgraceful.
Rush, please pay your staff better wage so they feel less inclined to have to force upselling and they miss out on the tip.
If the team could follow up with me I would be grateful.

Really bad service at reception today at Rush Greenwich.
We had, my daughter and I, two bookings, both at 10:30. They unilaterally changed one of the bookings to 11:45 without telling us.
When we arrived, they were fully booked and even if I had received the two booking confirmations for the 10:30 appointments, they now couldn’t see my daughter until 11:45. The receptionist wasn’t helpful at all and did not give us any rebooking alternatives or discount to fix the issue. We couldn’t wait for 1 hour and 15 minutes due to other commitments. We have been going to that salon for 5 years, spending thousands of pounds there, but we will not go back. Errors happen, but normally the staff would helpfully offer alternatives. No effort was made to fix the issue they created. Bad client service... Bad way to run their business... The owner of the salon should know what happened.

Hannah does my hair beautifully, and it's always a pleasure to see her and leave the salon with gorgeous hair. Very pleased that I have found such a lovely salon. Thank you to the whole team!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Outstanding Experience at Rush Windsor
This was only my second visit to Rush Windsor, and I can honestly say I am beyond impressed. From the moment you walk in, the welcome is warm and genuine, and you immediately feel cared for.
I was quite nervous about having my colour done (my hair is full, complicated, and doesn’t always behave the way I want!), but the stylist’s expertise blew me away. She did a beautiful balayage with toner, Olaplex and Fusio Dose treatments, followed by a flawless blow dry. The colour turned out far better than I could have hoped — rich, vibrant, and so natural-looking, while still keeping my hair healthy and shiny.
What struck me most was the way they treat your hair as though it’s something precious, with the utmost care and attention to detail. Every step was professional, with high-quality products, and the overall service was simply outstanding. Even the little touches — like a perfectly made cup of tea and friendly, genuine staff who make you feel at ease — elevate the whole experience.
Having been to some of the very best salons over the years, I can honestly say Rush Windsor stands among the top. Their professionalism, warmth, and skill make them a real gem in Windsor. I left feeling not only delighted with my hair but also completely looked after.
Highly recommended — a truly exceptional salon experience.

I had Kate in Watford. She was great & actually listened to what I wanted. Giving advice on my fringe considering my chosen style. Unfortunately I thought I had left a tip when paying but it turns out I didn't & for that I am very sorry as she did a great job & truly deserved it. I will definitely be going back again as other hairdressers always miss the mark & leave me frustrated after a few days. Kate got it right. Thank you.
