Bait an switch
I am the same as the others! I love the story. I like the product….. mostly . But truthfully the pics are more or less like a dating app picture. Bait and hook. But the customer service is worse than the garbage they pull out if the ocean to make these!!!!!
Hole in shoe
Really liked my first pair of driver loafers, so I ordered another color. The sizing was off and they were not comfortable- but were final sale so made them work. Less than a year in and there is a hole on the top of the shoe near the stitching. I contacted customer service for a replacement and they said no.
Not worth the price
For the price you pay, this shoe is not very sustainable and does not last very long. Firstly it does not allow your foot to breathe so you sweat a lot and have to wash the shoe often. And then the shoe scuffs and frays very quickly. I've had much more affordable shoes last longer than this. It is comfortable but not worth the price
My complaint is that they have sales…
My complaint is that they have sales that are “final sales” - while I find the quality of shoes very nice, the sizing is all over the place. You should be able to try on a shoe and at least exchange it for a size that fits. Also they have very few storefronts. There isn’t one convenient for me to go and try on. They can do better as a trusted company by allowing exchanges on items that are on sale.
Hassle free return experience
I ordered a pair of "cozy clogs" and really liked them at first, very nice looking and they fit well. A few hours in to wearing them the insole started to curl up and had extremely sharp edges. I had to stop wearing them, when I tried again it was worse and I believe they were a defective pair. I contacted customer service expecting an argument about returning them since I had already worn them, but not only did they apologise they went ahead and refunded me and told me no need to return! No hassle, no shipping labels, so easy!!! Will purchase from them again as I do think there was something wrong with this pair in particular.
Disappointed with Roth's Customer Service and Product Quality
I have been a loyal customer of Rothy's, investing in multiple pairs of shoes due to their commitment to sustainability and quality. However, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing.
After following the washing instructions provided by Rothy's, all of my parish of shoes shrunk significantly after just one (1) wash, making them unwearable. These shoes have hardly been worn, so wear and tear is not the issue here. Despite reaching out to customer service and explaining the situation, I was informed that no replacement or refund could be offered due to the age of my purchase (2 years).
I even tried their suggested method to reform the shoes, but it did not resolve the issue. As a customer who has spent a considerable amount on their products, I expected better support and a resolution that reflects their advertised commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The defectiveness of the shoes after following Rothy's care instructions should be rectified.
I hope Rothy's will take this feedback seriously and improve their customer service policies to better support their loyal customers.
Beware this style runs very very large…
Beware this style runs very very large at least with the pair I ordered for the Almond loafer. Compared to the original loafer round toe of which I have 8 colors my size is 8.5. However, with the former this is at least 1 full size too large in length and width. Could not exchange b/c of final sale; don’t make my mistake with assumption of transferring size between styles. Ordering new style implies exclusion for first time purchase.
Bad from start to finish!!
Although I used their measuring tool in order to make sure I order the right sized shoes, when they arrived I had to realize they were more than a whole number too small! There was no way I could wear them. My main grief however is with their practice of stating that you can buy their shoes in the UK now. Since I did this online and have plenty of positive experience in the case of having to return something, I trusted the process. However, shoes are sent to you from the US and you won't know until you have to return them that there is a very costly process of sending shoes back to them [nearly£25!!!!!]. Not to mention how long it took them to refund the money. At least now I have an email stating it has been refunded and saying that it may take several days to arrive in my account. I am disgusted and angry and will certainly never buy any of their shoes again - ever.

Returning from Canada? Don't bother.
What a hassle trying to return my order. They shipped from within Canada no problem and I got them in a couple of days. I go through their return portal and that seemed to work fine, but after printing out my labels and going to the shipping centre, I'm told I need a commercial invoice, the chat agent didn't seem to truly understand the issue at hand. they just kept apologizing and telling me their internal team is "working on it". What does that even mean? The fact that they don't even know what is going on is very disheartening and wasting my time.
They don't deliver and then no refund. Just keep your money without sending the shoes.
I ordered two pair of shoes from Rothys twice since i thought I made a mistake. But money was taken out of my account each time. I wrote customer services and they didn't help at all just said they can't find an order even if I showed them the bank statement.
This is several months ago. I will never order from them again. Beware they are not a serious company.
Poor customer service
My shoes got a hole in the same place on both shoes. Both holes were at the top near a seam. I was told this was normal wear and tear and the shoes can’t expect to stay perfect. Ridiculous. Definitely not normal wear and tear. I won’t purchase from this company again as they do not stand behind their shoes!

My order was lost by FedEx. I have made several attempts to contact Rothy’s for support by email and through their website with no response. I was finally able to reach someone via their online chat.
I was advised that since my FedEx tracking still showed “delayed” that Rothy’s was unable to assist and that I should continue to wait even though FedEx had notified me that the package was lost. I have spent hours of my time trying to resolve this and am very disappointed with Rothy’s for the lack of customer support.
As a first-time customer, I’m completely turned off by their customer service and I just want a refund. I have absolutely no desire to shop with them again.
I’ll be filing a dispute with my credit card company since no one will get back to me.

I wish I had gone here first and read reviews before wasting money with this company. I am a new customer and have reached out twice to customer service via chat to find out why it is taking so long to receive my order. Both reps were very rude and just referred me back to written policies. I asked to cancel my order and get a refund, was told I have to wait and then request the refund. I tried calling, sat on hold forever and never got a person. Not the type of customer service I was expecting. Sadly, I will not be a customer. If it takes this long to get the shoes, cannot imagine how long it will take to get my refund once they arrive and I send them back.

I ordered shoes and it took more than triple the timeline to have the shoes shipped and then the shoes got stuck in customs. I e-mailed the company and although they acknowledged my first e-mail they never sent another pair or issued any refund. It has been over 3 months and they have stopped responding. This company is very unethical!

I own four pairs of Rothys and I love them all. They are so comfortable, cute and washable! The last pair I bought was a little big and that caused them to rub the back of my heal. I reported this to their customer service department and they sent me another smaller pair which felt great! So add good customer service to their list of accolades.
Good luck actually getting your shoes
I ordered a pair of their viral mary janes when they came back into stock. They were shipped Sept. 3 and meant to be delivered in 5-7 business days. On Sept. 12, I contacted customer service about how tracking hadn’t updated or even left Canada for the US. I was basically told to wait and they gave me a DHL tracking link, different from the USPS one they provide on the shipping confirmation. On Sept. 25, the tracking number disappeared from DHL’s system. I contacted customer service and they told me they didn’t know any more information than me, the shoes were sold out and could not be pre-ordered, and I would not be reissued a new discount code after wasting mine on this order. The rep I spoke to seemed to not understand how to resolve the issue outside of issuing copy-and-paste “solutions.” I was frustrated by the lack of wanting to actually make things right, voiced this, and was met with attitude. Many other companies take missing packages very seriously and will contact the shipping company for the customer—Rothy’s does not care whether you actually get what you ordered.
