The product is potentially very good. However got delivered with a flat tyre. Read through and saw that the customer service is shocking. App is pointless the only real feature being that it’s downloadable. It’s a pity they might have a great product but I guess you can’t beat the Norris’ and others and mass of cheap scooters. If you something better then it’s not a Riley and if you want something cheap then I guess the Riley ain’t a bad shout at all. But be nice if Riley could get the basic shit right.

The RS3 we have got a puncture on the front wheel.
It needed a new inner tube.
Omg, i have never changed an inner tube as digficult as this.
First take wheel off, but seems nowhere close to unplug motor so its dangling on its wires.
Then inner tube has a nut on the valve holding it onto the rim. The motor has a disc like arrangement that does not seem to want to seperate so you are left eith a hole on this plate but cannot get to nut holding inner tube on. I have bougjt and tried many super slim sockets etc, long nose pliers and so on. In the end i cut off inner tube and hacksaeed valve off. It is totally awful to make this so difficult.
We also own an ix5s cheapeer scooter.
There is no comparison what soever. The ix5s is super well made, bigger motor, better ligjtng suspension front and back, disc brakes front and back and about 50 quid cheaper. There is no comparison whatsoever, none. Last riley we ever buy im afraid!

Just emailed Mark at Riley to enquire about purchasing 2 spare batteries and got an almost instant reply telling me all I need to know.

A Speedy Response from Riley
Great support received from Mark at Riley after I asked a question about recently purchased RB1 via a very helpful Beth at LetMeRepair. A speedy and informative answer was given soon after office opening having sent the question over night. Following an email exchange I had the information I needed and have now spent a few days using the bike. It's my first e-bike so it's taken a bit of getting used to, but happy to report that it's a great unit that's well built and feels quality. Very happy with it so far and looking forward to continued use. Happy customer!
No drama - just excellent customer service and solutions!
The customer service I received was just brilliant! Mark answered my email very promptly and offered me a number of solutions! He was willing to try and facilitate delivery of a new battery for me, as it turned out - my battery charged up!!
I would highly recommend Riley Scooters and in particular - their after sales service!!

I brought a scooter for my daughter for Christmas, A week after getting it out of the box it developed a fault so I contacted Riley scooters they arranged for DPD to pick it up they received it in February so it took them a month to arrange pickup, We are currently on the 17th of June and I still got not scooter. I keep speaking to the same person no update. I send emails "oh don't worry we'll chase it up" still nothing this company is an absolute joke.

I'm amending this review from a one star to a five star review, reason why I'm doing that it wasn't Riley scooters that were at fault, it was the service centre that they employ. After speaking to two wonderful individuals from Riley scooters, head of service mark and the delightful managing director, after speaking to mark directly he efficiently resolved an issue that was taking best part of five months to resolve and he did that in less than a week.
Every company is only as good as its weakest link in this instance it wasn't Riley scooters, it was (Let me repair) but there the people @ Riley resolved it for me my daughter is very grateful. I'm very happy for this issue to come to its resolution. Only thing I would wish was i should have contacted Riley directly instead of the service centre directly (LET ME REPAIR). Thank you very much and based on your service I will be purchasing more scooters from you in the future. thank you once again for resolving my issue five star form me

Avoid these scooters at all costs!
Zero customer service, faulty after a couple of months and sent to a third party repairer with the same results as everyone is experiencing in other reviews.
I was told after chasing on numerous occasions that they were waiting for parts, in the end I gave up and told them to send the scooter back as it is and I will seek a full refund from the company I purchased it from.
Awful experience so I recommend you avoid purchasing Riley Scooters and look elsewhere.
3 months waiting for repairs to be done.
They came for my scooter for repairs about 3months and am still waiting to get it back. Ive been told everytime i call that they are still waiting for parts. Its close to 4 months now. They've even stopped answering thier phone. The scooter was less than 10months when it got faulty. I also purchased 3 years extended warranty so why wont they give me a new one if it can't be repaired? My advice, never buy from riley scooter.

Up to 50 miles on 1 charge . Wrong
I charged it 3 times when I hit 48 miles on the meter which has also stopped working properly it shows I travel no faster than 2.2 mph at any time and despite having 32% battery left when I got to work it was completely dead when I finished my shift 4 hours later. I did not leave it on.
Not for hill use unless your battery is over 50% and despite having it 4 months I and had brakes redone already. Not a happy bunny.

I am so glad I got it from Currys store so that I was able to give it back the next day with no problem !!!! Everything they say for the specifications are false. I wouldn’t even give a star but had to as wanted to write a review on it. Thanks again Currys management to get me rid of this mistake I did with no hassle x

Please do not buy a Riley’s scooter they do not work like there supposed to my autistic son had one for his birthday the battery life is terrible don’t last speed slows over time Riley’s head office have refused to give me a refund only a like for like scooter very rude to me my son is devastated please don’t throw your money away

TOOK me few weeks to build the confidence from 15 to 25 speed per mile.
