I would not shop here again

UPDATE: The retailer's argument is legally invalid because the courier failed to complete the service to my address. Not only am I entitled to a 14 day cancellation with a full refund, under UK law, a parcel is not legally "available for pickup" if it is left in a completely different postal district due to courier failure.Because they failed to deliver to my home address twice and then misplaced it in Camden, the delivery contract was breached. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods remain the retailer's risk and responsibility until they are physically delivered to your possession at the address provided at checkout.

It's actually crazy the lengths they'll go to not to refund me the original postage cost.

The fact they're trying to justify this is also wild (see response below). Royal Mail failed to deliver multiple times. That's not on me. They took it to a random collection point in Camden, nowhere near my address. Also not on me. I only chose to get it sent back because my hands were tied and they advised me to. There's no way this is legal.

Original review: I would not shop here again. Kept arranging delivery attempts with Royal Mail, but twice nothing turned up. I mentioned this to them and the fact that I didn't want to keep arranging failed deliveries, or collect from a post office that was not remotely local. They told me to leave it and that the item would be sent back at which point I'd be refunded. I was fine with this as these things happen and it was no biggy. But now they are refusing to refund the original postage cost. They never mentioned this when they advised me to leave it. This is also illegal as the service they chose failed. Not me. They need to take it up with Royal Mail instead of making me responsible for them not delivering or taking it to the correct collection point. Have been going back and forth for months now, first wanting a refund then waiting for the item to be returned back to them so I could get my refund. I was very patient despite not getting the item in time. This is really really disappointing.

We’re sorry to read your review and we do understand this was frustrating.

To give some balance, the Royal Mail tracking shows that delivery was attempted, the parcel was then available for redelivery or collection, and we also advised you at the time that these options were available while the parcel was still in Royal Mail’s network.

You later chose not to arrange further collection or redelivery and asked for the parcel to be returned instead. Once the parcel came back to us and was processed, we refunded the cost of the items.

The original postage cost was not refunded because the order was dispatched, Royal Mail handled the parcel, delivery was attempted, and the parcel was then made available for redelivery or collection before being returned. The postage service had therefore been used.

We completely understand that you were unhappy with the collection point and with Royal Mail’s handling of the delivery, but this was not a case where the order was never sent or where no delivery attempt was made. We also cannot control where Royal Mail hold parcels after a missed delivery.

We always try to be fair with customers, but we also have to be fair to the business. In this case, the item cost was refunded when the parcel was returned, but we do not agree that the original postage should also be refunded where the postage service had been used and delivery options were available.

We’re sorry you feel disappointed, but we hope this explains why the decision was made.

They wont let me go!

Bought something once and have been trying to unsubscribe for about a year now. They wont take any notice and keep emailing me.

All marketing emails include an unsubscribe link at the bottom, which should remove you from the mailing list automatically. If that has not worked for you, please contact us with the email address the messages are being sent to and we can check this for you.

Defraud

We’re sorry to read your review, but we do need to clarify a few points.

We do accept returns in line with our returns policy and UK consumer rights. However, some products cannot be returned once opened or used for hygiene reasons. This is standard for personal care and intimate hygiene products, and it is not a “get out clause”.

The fact that some products are not sealed does not mean they can automatically be used, opened or handled and then returned. Hygiene restrictions can still apply depending on the type of product and its condition.

Regarding sizing, we provide size options and product information at the point of purchase so customers can choose the size they need. Where the item received matches the size selected at checkout, this would not be classed as the wrong item being sent.

We strongly reject the suggestion that we defraud customers. We are always happy to review genuine issues, but we do have to apply our returns policy fairly and consistently.

Broke after a few months

At the start of the year, I bought a reusable metal coffee filter stand, which - according to the product description - would be "reusable for years". It fell apart after 3 months. When I emailed Regn, this was their reply:
"I’m sorry to hear the coffee filter stand has come apart. These stands are made with fairly delicate wire legs, so they do rely on careful handling and positioning during use and storage. Over time, this type of item can weaken through normal use, and after several months it would be classed as general wear and tear rather than a fault.
As this was purchased at the start of January, it falls outside of what we would be able to cover."

I replied, explaining that I had only handwashed the item, and left it to air dry. They did not respond. I feel that the item description was misleading. Will now have to try soldering it myself! Not good for something that is meant to last for years - hardly a sustainable option.

The colour of the tea towels was much…

The colour of the tea towels was much darker than they appear on the website and the material was very thin. I had to send back, their refund policy is arduous and costly. I will not shop here again.

The towel colours are accurately represented on our website and match the product supplied. We take care to ensure our images reflect the true colour as closely as possible.

Our towels are intentionally lightweight and quick-drying, which is clearly reflected in the product description.

As for returns, our policy is straightforward and clearly outlined before purchase. We accept returns on unused items, with return postage covered by the customer, which is standard across most online retailers.
