I find they regularily short what they are supposed to rebate. This has been an ongoing issue for me. For instance, the pretax purchase is $778.00 and they offered 10% rebate. They show the pretax sale lower than actual like $730.00 and payout $73.00 instead of $77.80
Not impressed as have to spend too much time chasing them.

I like using Rakuten & getting rewards points from online shopping which turns into cash for me.

Love how it helps you save a little bit of money which makes a huge difference

I have been a Rakuten member for two years now and have mostly had positive experiences with my transactions. Mostly used the Chrome extension, lost out on some larger purchases when I activated the shopping trip, but then logged into my account and found that the Shopping trip was not properly recorded. I recently downloaded the Rakuten App and decided that should be a better way to record the shopping trips.
I used the Rakuten App to purchase an HP Laptop on Nov 18/2025 for $1500 during a time that Rakuten posted they were offering 6% Cash Back. When I didn’t see the transaction recorded I submitted a Where is my Cashback and attached the requested full email received from HP. They replied back saying it sometimes takes some time to show up. A couple of weeks ago I sent another email to Rakuten Support and they replied suggesting they were waiting for HP to verify the transaction. Obviously Rakuten had an agreement to offer 6% on that day. I provided all the Order info to Rakuten and a month later they have done nothing to rectify this situation.

App is a little slow but the rewards are great!

Rakuten is easy to use. They come out with some great cash backs that make a big difference when you are ordering. Great updates as to what is happening at all times

Extremely considerate of members' situations: A supplier filled my order, but skipped the cash back. Rakuten offered ex gratia compensation.

I like Rakuten.ca I like the cash back offers, I have had a few poor experiences (usually when the cash back is a large amount) but they have all been fixed by their service team.

I have been using Rakuten.ca for years. They are a very valuable asset to my online shopping experience. Not only do they show a company's deals or sales, they also have cash back percentages on your purchases. They offer cash back through a "big fat check", paypal deposit, or interac e transfer. I don't shop online without them and its easily saved me thousands of dollars. They are honest and timely with their rewards. I would and do highly recommend them to anyone. My family knows not to "shop" without them!

Rakuten is impressive. There is never a glitch or a problem. More companies should emulate it.
