With Split Tickets, our clever algorithms find combinations of tickets that together offer the same journey but at a lower price than a regular ticket.

The safeguarding of children on trains is completely invisible. Children between 11-16 unsupervised and without tickets on hearing conversations getting on and off the train between stations and not one ticket collector or adult in sight.

Hi Hannah,
Not ideal there weren't enough staff about to check tickets and keep an eye on things. So I appreciate that it wasn't exactly the best experience.
Although, as a ticket retailer, while we try to make the ticket buying experience as good as possible, there's not much we can do about how many staff each train operating company deploys on their services.
Hopefully your journeys in the future are better!

Sorry that your train was cancelled, it was a decision by the train operating company running the service. Sometimes trains are cancelled with very little notice.

Very useful and easy to use
Very easy to use and work out the best tickets. Great for planning journeys and checking real time trains. Great end to end service - my go-to for rail now.

Railboard has the best user interface
Railboard has the best user interface out of all the train ticket apps I’ve used and is my preferred ticket app. It has saved a lot of money over the years.
The only ways to improve the app would be to add more advanced routing options, intensive search, being able to add multiple via/avoid/departure/destinations all on the same journey. Another train booking platform has this but the UI not so friendly.

Like that tickets appear on my phone home screen
Railboard is my preferred live tracker and planner but I don't usually buy tickets through the app. However Railboard now matches Trainline with the tickets popping up on my home screen so am more likely to use the app to buy in future.

Easy and fast app
Easy to use, never had any issues.
More than a year using this as a alternate to national rail app due to their last update.
Information is always up to date about any disruption.

Great app, prices and support
Great app. Great prices. And awesome customer support.
I am a regular commuter so use this app a lot.
Despite that, I’ve managed to mis-book tickets a few times now and they’ve always been brilliant at helping me sort the situation out.
I love the transparency with split tickets and am very happy to share the savings with them to keep funding this brilliant app
