Good place to find models both locally and a bit further afield. Narrow down the search to your requirements for whatever you have planned / in mind.
If you're not sure what you want - try the castings for anything that looks of interest to you.

An excellent site which enables me to find studios and models for my hobby. It is well run, and while there may be some undesirables on this site they are quickly kicked off when found out. I think it is a very safe medium to use, and being able to see references from people who have worked with that studio, or person, before is very helpful. I see no reason to use any other site as most of the ones I have found are nowhere near as good.

I've used Purpleport for over ten years now, and it's how 90% of my shoots, workshops, tutorial sessions and collaborations happen.

So much more reliable than using social media apps to find people - the reference system, booking calendar and admin team help to ensure everyone turns up ready to do a good job.

Of course, no platform of this type is foolproof when it comes to bad actors, scams and so on, however, I've always found the Purpleport admin team act swiftly when presented with the right evidence and in this way, the ratio of reliable and talented people is far greater than you might find on Instagram. The messages are all viewable by the admin team too and provide an auditable way to communicate what you will be shooting, where, when etc.

The site tools are easy to use - editing pages, and posting on the forums etc, and it has reached that stage where you see a lot of little tweaks and productivity improvements that come only from years of tuning. The dev team listen to user feedback and often implements good/popular suggestions.

The casting system comes in very handy, and it's a great place to advertise workshops and events.

Purpleport has been an integral part of organising creative shoots for me for many years now, and I highly recommend it to photographers, models and other creatives.

I heard about PP at a photography evening class back in 2018. It's the place to go if you want to shoot portraits and want to hook up with people to shoot with (they don't have to be professional models.) PP is a total bargain. It's £40 per year (for that you can post as many images as you like, & you can access everything & participate fully in the chat forums, What's not to like? If you like to photograph people, it's the place to be.

I was recommended PurplePort when I first opened my studio 5 years ago – and it opened me up to a fabulous creative community. Unlike most social media, that is very “virtual”, PurplePort actively encourages face-to-face by its very nature, and I have met so many incredible creatives.
With tools for finding the right people for your shoots in the locations you need them, collecting your references, displaying your work, calendars, creating events and castings, it’s perfect for freelance models, photographers, studios and mua’s alike.
I have looked at the other sites that are similar, and have found them to be lacking in quality and sleazy. PurplePort seems to have the balance right. One warning, If you’re easily shocked, make sure you keep your NSFW filters on, as art nude, lingerie and glamour are heavily themed throughout (of varying levels, some tasteful, and some not so tasteful). There is some incredible work on PurplePort, it quickly got me hooked, and I use it every day.

Been using the site for 10 years now and it is by far the best place to source great models to work with.As a photographer I get to meet other great creatives on here not just models. There is an adult element to it but you can filter that if required.

Some interesting statements here about PP so I’m just going to wade in and add mine.
I’m primarily a fashion, portrait and fine art photographer, have been for quite some time now. I’ve been on PP for the last eight years and I have to say that without doubt, I wouldn’t have been able to find the people I’ve worked with over the years (many of whom are now friends) without it. But as with everything else in life, you get out of it what you put in. I’ve read the negative reviews here and I personally have never had an issue with anyone in the team.
The problem with the internet is that everyone believes they have the right to express their opinion AND have others listen to it. Actually the correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularity if it is demonstrably utter rubbish! There in lies the issue.
10/10 highly recommended.

It's a great community for models, photographers, makeup artist, studios and stylist to connect in a focussed but fun, no pressure environment. There are all kinds of looks and levels from absolute beginners to time served professionals. The forums can be a bit clicky, but not all and it's only a handful, there's no need to interact as collaborations are made through direct messaging. There are plenty of images and a detailed search criteria to help find what you are looking for. All in all, highly recommended.

Average site of its type, with little competition. Main problems are lack of active members, whatever the "headline" claims of membership. Many models have "rarely replies" "last logged in 2 years ago" etc. Rather (very) cliquey, mutual admiration groups.

I have been a member of PP for a few months now and I have had an account in the past.

It is easily the best Model and Photographer portfolio site out there. The members are friendly, helpful and look out for each other.

Most of the photography is of a good standard compared to certain other sites out there.

I see from oher reviews people have issues with accounts being removed, but this is that makes the site safe,

Excellent portfolio hosting site for photographers and models alike. Easily navigable,easy to set up shoots for both parties and hosts some excellent photographs. VFM all round.

It’s a useful site to show your photography skills. Also to meet new people with similar interests and new models.
It’s very weighted towards models wanting paid work, and photographers who are prepared to pay.
But a good place to admire some great images.

PurplePort is a great site for creatives to find each other. It is a great place to find like-minded or totally opposite minded people and their inspirational or mediocre work. The community is great and one can just enjoy the ride or aspire to grow and get better in their craft. Networking is an important part of PP and good networking gives you more options to get proper criticism if you wish to and work with people who are better than you in aspects you want to grow in.
Highly recommended for Photographers of any level, models of any level, make up artists or other artist.

Purpleport was the first site I found when I wanted to start working with models again back in 2015.
I joined the site initially just to look around & get the feel of it, but by 2016 was brave enough to contact my first model on there. Since then I've never looked back! I've met & worked with dozens of models from established professionals to amateurs just starting out. I've received over a hundred references & have never had to leave a negative one. Purpleport remains my go to site for models of all types, from fashion through art nude to erotica & although perhaps not perfect it remains the most consistently successful platform for my photography.

Been a member for many years. It allows photographers, models and studios to arrange shoots together easily and safely. It’s not expensive, and don’t know anyone who’s had a problem with it.

I am actually astounded how many bad reviews there are for this site! I have been using it for well over 10 years now and personally never had a problem. It is THE biggest photographer/modelling site out there and if it was 'that' bad, wouldn't have over 22,000 members worldwide. There are some tremendous photographers, models and other creatives and the majority are honest, reliable and decent. Purpleport have really upped their game in recent years weeding out the not-so-desirables and that in itself is a major task which they do a pretty decent job of. In my experience, they do listen to reports of undesirable behaviour and act upon it. Please don't judge the site by the few negative reviews here, trust the 22,000 active members who clearly love being members

I have been using the site for a few years. Great for creative ideas. There are folks who post images that are a tad "Readers Wives", but the majority are folk trying to create lovely images.
I share images from landscapes to art nudes with a good number of FPI's.
Castings are difficult because most models want paid,even when they want someone to shoot their ideas, which I don't agree with.
But thus far, really enjoyed it and no hassles.

Amateur website, Russ Freeman, the owner, is primarily an egoist coder who does not allow any justified criticism of the site in the forums and personally insults those who make it. They have their favourites, primarily Adult orientated open-leg females, be prepared to be naked, or they will not support you. Admin are a clique of prejudiced donuts who ignore reports about certain models, and a number of my friends have also mentioned that their complaints have been ignored or have resulted in their accounts being banned. Admin are childish and vindictive, there is a toxic undercurrent which is why it will always be a house of cards, someone will copy their format, which is admittedly better than the competition, and run it professionally. At the moment this site deserves zero respect.
