I recently reviewed these trainers and checked out my review on Trust pilot when it was published. In doing so I came across some negative reviews with some reviewers suggesting that the good reviews are not genuine. I can only speak for my experience but can honestly say I am happy with this company supplying the trainers as advertised and my husband is very happy with the product.
I’m sorry some people have not had a good experience with their purchase.

Looks like I am also the affected by a failed company. Checked the reviews before buying but no delivery and no website. Why is Trustpilot still listing a website that is not accessible and how can these 4 star reviews from end Jun be real?

why is Trustpilot UK allowing good reviews from this scammer? I always check TRUSTPILOT before I order thinking they were a ligit site. So I ordered some barefoot shoes paid £50 and no shoes delivered and website and email state cannot load as website down, emails returned as failure. They are actually based in Hong Kong called Ventura and are not a uk company as stated on their website when its up. Will now raise a dispute with my bank. And not trust TRUSTPILOT ever again. As the 4'5 star reviews are from this company. of which trustpilot does not check.

The shoes are good but found them a little tight to get, but I think that is because my heel is still tender after achilles heel.operation

I bought these shoes for playing badminton as my previous pair from this company have now worn out. Very few barefoot shoes on the market. These are great, lightweight, tough and completely flat.

The company were good to deal with but the delivery was shocking. Gave me a date and time but didn't arrive until later the following day. The shoes themselves are very comfortable but they are not totally waterproof. First time in wet weather my socks were wet!

Excellent trainers since using them resolved my pain in left foot when walking my dogs

The product was excellent.My feet are loving my new trainers. Delivery service was great. I was informed when my parcel would arrived. Fantastic customer service. Definitely buy from them again.

I ordered 2 pairs of Purestep shoes, thinking they’re a UK company. They kept harassing me with emails and text messages to buy more with discounts. But I wanted to receive my first order before being lured into buying more. An obviously good decision, because the delivery took ages and when it eventually arrived, their UK size 9 that I usually wear were too small. The shoes were also horrible, of absolute poor quality. I started attempting a return, but their email address with which they had been daily inundating me with messages and website suddenly became inaccessible, saying “Delivery Status Notification (Failure)” for email and “Safari can't open the page because the server can't be found.” for website.

Eventually, I got a contact address from PayPal and the company ended up showing that they are not PURESTEP.CO.UK, which is a cover front, but they’re a backyard shop in China, offering 3 different options for return, all of which are not favourable, as they are asking for more money, showing that they are nothing but a scam.

My 39 year-old son told me all the 4-5 star reviews are fake, written by themselves to hoodwink unsuspecting buyers. They’re selling to UK customers under a deceptive cover. I regret wasting my hard-earned money on this purchase. PLEASE AVOID THEM LIKE A PLAGUE!!

Product was delivered in reasonable time frame. The barefoot shoes took a little time to get used to them. The sole has a little too much grip when doing chi gung and tai chi but excellent for walking the dogs and around the house. I do believe they are helping with pain issues I have been experiencing due to tendon injuries around my knees.

I have large feet so there’s not so much choice of colour which is a shame. They come up a little short - my 9.5 is comfortable in your 10.
A bit put off by the barrage of emails asking for reviews or offering a discount on the next pair before I’d even received the first.
Having said that, they are very comfortable.

Good response from customer service when I asked to exchange, but now their website & customer service email are not working. (From Thurs 2/7/26 to Sat 4/7/26) Has the company gone under? Will I ever get my exchange??

These shoes were to small. I asked for a refund and was given the option of exchange for which I had to pay £10 or for a refund return the shoes to China, at my expense which would have been almost as much as the shoes cost. I would not have bought these if I had known they weren’t coming from a UK based company. Their website is very misleading about returns. Don’t buy from this company, very poor service.

I love these shoes, first time buyer & im sure I will be ordering again. I did purchase a 5 1/2 size but realize I didn’t need to allow for skipiness in the quality /sizing & wish I’d bought a size 5. Nevertheless I’m wearing them and don’t want to take them off! Recommended to a friend recently.

I love the shoes. So comfortable.
I feel I could do with a half size smaller as the heel seems to extend back a little far (feels great - just looks like shoes are too big).
I have several pairs and consider them to be great value.
Only downside is the slow delivery time.
