I recently took the Oregon Construction Contractor exam through PSI’s remote proctoring service and it was an absolute nightmare. Despite having high-speed internet, the PSI Bridge software froze and crashed a total of 5 times.
Every single time it crashed, I was forced to restart the entire process: re-downloading the software and performing a full, invasive room and desk scan from scratch. This happened five times in one sitting.
The worst part was that when I finally got back into the exam after working with a technician I realized the timer had never been paused. I lost 30 minutes of my testing time due to PSI’s software failures. I was forced to rush through a high-stakes exam under extreme anxiety because the proctors failed to stop the clock while I dealt with their technical glitches.
While I managed to pass, the stress and technical incompetence of this platform are unacceptable for professional licensing. If you have the option, take your test at a physical center and avoid this software at all costs.

Untrustworthy people. I studied off of two books. They gave me the wrong test. I’m trying to address my concerns. Calls aren’t answered and I’m getting the run around. And feel like 120$ was stolen from me

Not clear what practice exam I was getting and even though it showed as a "state" exam, you have to open it to see that it is not a "state" practice exam and then they won't refund you the price you paid for it because you opened it.

I had an okay experience overall. I had difficulty finding the page to access my exam and did not receive clear instructions in the days leading up to up to my exam. I found the check-in process with the proctor (I took my exam at home) tedious and inefficient. I showed my workstation and surroundings multiple times yet had to keep showing obscure places of my home. The communication with the proctor after completing my exam was delayed and they were not helpful when my survey froze. It was also not disclosed that the results of the exam would be emailed to me within 24 hours so when I called the customer service line to find out if something was wrong with the submission of my exam, it took far too long and too many transfers to get a straight answer.

I have emailed multiple times asking for a paid receipt and have received no response. It is mindboggling that this isn't something you automatically generate, but even more surprising that you can't be bothered to respond to direct requests.
ETA after response: This is the email address I've contacted repeatedly.

Trying to perform a test online, not the best idea.
First, super difficult to get to the practice test
2nd, during the exam they paused me and asked me to reboot computer. not a good idea i was never able to log back in to psi. 2 days later called for reschedule date and they want me to charge my charge again for second time cause they say I did not pass my exam. this is a terrible program it should be terminated asap.

Very much unhappy with the centre. I listened to one of the employee here calling Moron to a visitor who left the centre. I believe his name is Abdullah. When I challenged him on this he first said he is Fasting and then put me in the end of the queue as a penalty. Also, staff on the reception was loud and causing distraction.

I was ready to take my exam an hour before the 30 minutes as instructed. When the 30 minutes log in was allowed. I clicked the button and did all the appropriate things the proctor asked me to do. The proctor stated they could not hear me, even though I already did the text that popped up saying that my camera and microphone was working. The proctor sent me to troubleshooting, they said everything was fine. I was sent back to the proctor who again said they couldn't hear me, even though troubleshooting told me everything was on correctly! I was sent back to troubleshooting again. The only communication is via chat, which they do not reply promptly! Which means due to their uncommunication skills I was not allowed to take my exam because the troubleshooter person told me to refresh my screen and it kicked me out! It should not take over 5/10 minutes for someone via chat to respond! Why have this feature if the person's they employ cannot type 60wpm!
This is not the first time I have issues with trying to take this exam. I had the same issues before, So I knew what all had to be turned on within my computer and the add-on extension!!
Why CAN'T this company change the 30 minute log in to an 1 hour to make sure that IF there are any troubleshooting issues they can be resolved!!!
Even though customer service told me that someone would call me back within 24 hours... NO ONE has! I called customer service again.. I was told that now I have to wait 3 to 5 business days! No one should have to go through this to take an exam that I paid for. It should be simple and easy with NO frustrations!

The worst customer service I ever experienced. I had an exam scheduled in Washington state. Half way through the internet connection shut down and all test takers including me got send home. No I am listed in the system as failed first try and they gave me a 30 day block to reschedule . Only thing they were able to do is to give me a credit so I don’t have to pay twice but that took them 2 weeks too.
Absolut nightmare but unfortunately we have to go with them.

I would like to bring to your attention an issue that occurred during my son’s visit to your office today. The lady working in the front almost had my 16-year-old son take the wrong test because she called him by a different name and did not appear to be paying close attention to the information in front of her.
When my son presented his legal Texas identification—the temporary paper copy issued while the hard copy arrives in the mail—she seemed hesitant to accept it. This created unnecessary confusion and concern. Fortunately, another staff member noticed the situation and stepped in to correct it before my son was issued the wrong test.
Additionally, when I approached her to ask about the situation as his father, her response came across with an attitude and included a smart remark when answering my question. This interaction felt unprofessional and could have been handled in a more respectful manner.
I understand that mistakes can happen; however, situations involving identification and testing require careful attention. I would appreciate it if this matter could be addressed with the employee, whether through additional training or a reminder about the importance of paying close attention to names, valid identification documents, and maintaining professionalism when interacting with the public.

It was nice and clean and the women who checked me in were kind and explained everything to me. The exam room was also quiet, which is a necessity for me. Overall, the only complaint I have is that an individual wore an overpowering perfume that was distracting. Maybe that is something you should add into your instructions?" Please don't wear scented lotions or perfume to consider those who are sensitive to smell."
